a hot take i have i think it’s that shippers have also a glorified version of itachi when they say he ships naruto and sasuke

the thing is itachi doesn’t know naruto or sasuke’s bond he only knows naruto is the only person that cares for sasuke’s safety the most. this is why he gives him his “blessing”. but in reality if itachi cared for sasuke having good relationships he would’ve not spend his life manipulating sasuke to kill his best friend and making sasuke isolate himself. he would not immediately torture sasuke because he realizes he’s not sasuke’s priority anymore and sasuke found someone to care again in part 1.

itachi it’s just controlling, when he leaves sasuke in naruto’s charge he does it because it serves his agenda
