from the use of the marigolds (a flower frequently associated with the connection between life and death that also symbolizes the concepts of grief and despair and hope and healing - what better flower to represent the contradictions within kashika and akito?) to the preserved butterflies (a really clever touch, actually - butterflies are a symbol of transformation and growth, and depicting them as preserved and stuck behind glass adds to kashika's themes of life and death; i mean, is taxidermy not a form of "suspended animation?" for akito, kashika is a song about being on the cusp of a monumental transformation and knowing this and knowing you are about to let your old self die to make way for the new and wavering in place; i just think preserved butterflies is a good visual representation for all that) (also butterflies are sometimes thought to represent the souls of the dead, so... fun fact!) to vivid bad squad(+meiko) coming together in the center of the ribcage to form a heart to the soft beauty of the art as a whole ...

i just really like when wxs have chaotic sounding songs like i appreciate the softer ones like what sort of ending but when their songs have multiple people singing one after the other to the point its difficult to sing by yourself its just really good and matches their vibes perfectly

Mr. Showtime 2DMV Theory
The release of Mr. Showtime full and its 2DMV... oh my god. I’m back on my Tsukasa bullshit, so please allow me to talk about what I thought was the most interesting part of the 2DMV:
This part, with the jester boy on the moon with balloons. Please ignore the YouTube time bar I don’t know how to get rid of it While the entire 2DMV is gorgeous and bears rewatching one million times, it’s this part that stood out to me in conjunction with the lyrics. Specifically, the strings of the balloons stood out to me, after reading and participating in this post by @/getwonderhoyd. It discussed the symbolism of Tsukasa and the marionette strings in comparison to Mafuyu, and how their tight wind around his fingers implied the tight grasp he has on controlling his situation.
He has that same winding grasp on the balloons. But what are the balloons?
While not all of them are direct depictions of the Wonderland Sekai, many of them also are. The ones that aren’t all seem to be related to stories Tsukasa is featured in, specifically a lot of the girls’ events for some reason? The presents seem to be from On This Holy Night, I Sing; the mermaid tail from Mermaid Adoration; and the tropical climate from A Desperate Situation?! Island Panic!. The plane, I would imagine, is from their travels abroad in Popping In My Heart, and the candy clouds balloon could either also be that event or resemble the clouds in the Smile of a Dreamer cards. I don’t remember where the scary face could be from-- I would posit either a spooky Halloween face for It’s On! Wonder Halloween or the checkered pattern could imply the phantom thieves of A Gentleman Thief’s Thrilling White Day?!.
Anyways, Tsukasa is clutching on tightly both to the sekai and his memories with his friends. Typical. But could it go deeper than that?
Again, the balloons are his memories. It’s good that he has them, considering his past history with memories. But here, we get some more interesting insight-- these memories are carrying the travelers. The travelers/stars are surely his troupemates, and Tsukasa believes he is carrying them with his memories. Sure, he’s carrying them with him through what he remembers, but as the leader, I think he believes that he’s the one carrying them forward. Not in a totally vain way, of course-- he loves his friends and thinks they’re all super talented, too. But there is one way that he specifically is undeniably carrying them... and that’s through the existence of his very own sekai.
That’s why his memories of prior events and the memories of the sekai are so combined. This other post which I adore by @/wondahoiii discusses how sekais are based off of repressed feelings. This makes the Wonderland Sekai, and the fact that it’s a neverending paradise based off of solely Tsukasa’s childhood memories, kind of terrifying.
Wonderlands x Showtime has had a lot of events recently about how much they don’t want their time as a group to end, even though it inevitably will. All four of them have lyrics here about wanting to avoid an ending, while Tsukasa is the only one shown acknowledging its arrival. But, down to the name, Wonderlands x Showtime and the Wonderland Sekai are connected. Since Tsukasa and Rui would have never made up without Kaito and Miku’s help, you could argue that Wonderlands x Showtime couldn’t exist without the Wonderland Sekai. So, in a way, when the members say they don’t want “it” to end, they could also be talking about how they don’t want the Wonderland Sekai to end.
What happens when true feelings are resolved?
If Vivid Bad Squad becomes a tight foursome without envy and insecurity and surpasses RAD Weekend, would they need the Street Sekai to practice in anymore? If Kanade really does write a song that can save Mafuyu, and all the members of Nightcord become mentally healthy, would they need advice from Miku, Meiko, or anyone else anymore? Someday, More More Jump will retire from being idols, right? Would the Stage Sekai still exist, even then?
And what about Tsukasa? If he became a mentally healthy person, one who could retain and potentially regain all of his memories, and make people like Saki smile... what would happen to the Wonderland Sekai?
There’s a certain fear in being the one-man show that fuels an entire universe.
Tsukasa will do anything to make the people he cares about smile. It’s literally the basis of the Wonderland Sekai itself. So, if the Wonderland Sekai makes Emu, Nene, and Rui smile, of course he would keep it open with all his power. Not to mention that, as reminded by the event story balloons, the Wonderlands Sekai is making his friends better people. Emu has people who unshakably care about her, Nene is overcoming her stage fright, and Rui feels understood and appreciated for the first time ever, thanks to the Virtual Singers inside the sekai. The Wonderland Sekai is making them better.
But at the same time, there’s a problem. As stated, the Wonderland Sekai consists of every happy childhood memory Tsukasa has repressed. For the Wonderland Sekai to exist, Tsukasa has to repress these memories, or else they wouldn’t be “emotions never expressed.” While I would never say that Wonderlands x Showtime was unhealthy for Tsukasa, it’s possible that, to a point, the Wonderland Sekai is. If he wants to reclaim his memories, he has to let the Wonderland Sekai go.
He has to be the one to bring about the catastrophic end.
It’s not just that Tsukasa wants to keep up a happy attitude so that no one will worry about him, or through some sense of pride at being the unshakable leader with masterful skills of pretending. It may be that Tsukasa is worried that if he shows even a crack, so will the world they’ve come to love. You know-- the one that Hasn’t Even Started Yet.
Which is why Tsukasa will never let go of those balloons. The ones that only contain memories of recent events; nothing about elementary school, or middle school, or even Saki and her heart-wrenching hospital trips. Living in the present, keeping things going, ignoring the past, is the only way to keep the Wonderland Sekai alive in his mind. Until closing time comes, Tsukasa and virtual singers like Luka will share this secret. Just like how Luka is constantly falling asleep, Tsukasa, too, will fall asleep on his own needs to ensure that he’ll keep the never-ending merry-go-round spinning. He’ll give up his own happiness for the betterment of others. He refuses to express his memories in words so that he can bear the burden of carrying the travelers by his side.
For the ultimate sacrifice... the show must go on!

The 3DMV for DREAM PLACE contains multiple references to previous MORE MORE JUMP! events and cards.
During Haruka's solo line in the verse, she makes a megaphone appear. This is the same megaphone from her trained Perfect Premonition 4* card.
Shizuku makes a clothing rack appear during her solo line, which is probably a reference to her second unit event, Cast Spell on You. Airi's section contains another reference to Cast Spell on You, as she makes Shizuku's hat from her trained Feels Like Magic 4* card appear.
It's easy to miss, but Haruka actually made two items appear. The second item she summoned is a chess piece, which is a reference to the MORE MORE Making Xmas cards and Worldwide Wander 2DMV.
Minori summons a sofa with two items on it during her section. The first item is a post bag, which is a reference to the cards from the Happy Lovely Everyday event, specifically Airi's Messenger of Love costume. The second item is a cushion shaped like an angel wing. This is a reference to the events Let's Deliver! HOPEFUL STAGE ♪ and Dear Me, As I Was Back Then (the event DREAM PLACE was commissioned for), as they both had angel-themed costumes.
Finally, the TVs in the background of the stage seem to be a reference to the event teaser, which used retro-style TVs to announce the producer of the song.

I just saw "Akuma no Odorikata" and for some reason could not tell which characters were on the thumbnail LMAO so I was like "Oh cool!! 'Devil's Manner' 2DMV!!" and then "Wait did An get a haircut? OMG WAIT HARUKA!!" ANYWAY they went way too hard for an April Fools' 2dmv /pos IT WAS ROYALLY GORGEOUS the Rui + Akito + Haruka voice combo SLAPS

alright alright alright iiiiiii had An Idea that i might want to share with the world it just came to me a week ago and took it's sweet time running around my head but i don't want to just dump this all on the one poor friend i have that has to know everything about me sooooooooooo. here. featuring a very silly rui & tsukasa cuz i enjoy their dynamic (whether it be platonic or romantic :P they're silly little guys and i like em for it)
okay. so you know the song Che- Che- Check, 1! 2! by WADATAKEAKI or KurageP, right? the same dude that made Chururira Chururira Daddadda! if you were wondering. (all of you wxs fans probably know where i'm going with this.)
i kind of want to hear a Rui and Tsukasa cover, kind of like the Self-cover that takeaki himself did. i know the song is about being a student that's just falling really hard for your teacher but i want to hear them do it *only* and i mean *ONLY* for the whole 1, 2 joke (cuz YEAH that's what i'm here for that's the only reason i made this post)
from the cut things are ruikasa (romantically, not platonically) so if you aren't into that. sorry you got my point you may leave now.

(or maybe they walked around school just recording people say happy birthday or something to nene because well let's have them do something nice for once instead of blasting confetti-filled cannons left, right and center)
whoever's plugging the audio in for the *whole* school to hear. instead of playing said silly random noises. manages to instead. play a recording of his confessions of love to his partner in crime. and you can tell he had background assistance cuz in the back emu and nene are going "wooaaahhhhh☆!!! he's gonna love this!!! it's really mooshy-wooshy and warm!!!" and "...yeah, i guess saying he's the star that lights up the dark void that once was your universe would work. good luck."
ooh or they get caught but one of them forgets their phone and then. after the silly random noises end. the whole school hears the most sappy, sickening confession ever. and rui's just sitting in the back, realizing he forgot his phone in the broadcast room, knowing he left it on autoplay, and he can't do anything but sit in this pool of dread and regret
anyways yeah uhmm that's all i have nothing left to share :P
and then of course the whole school teases them into next year. including the teachers. apparently being boyfriends come with a consequence. nene magically disappears for the next week or two and every time emu comes over during lunch break she gets really confused why everyone's just acting weird? where's nene-chan? what's going on between rui-kun and tsukasa-kun? did they fight again? no wait, i don't think you hold hands and call each other ruru and kasa after you fight... huhh??? whuhh??? bwuhh??? did they - *ugly breath in* OH MY GOD DID THEY CONFESS WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! [she managed to give heart attacks to half the student body and staff with that one scream. i wrote this i would know. and if you want to manifest it into sound assume it sounds like that one KYAAAAA!!! she did from Positive☆Dance Time. im sorry]

Ooooh but maybe we'll get Rui asking Toya about his childhood days with the Tenma sibs to know more about Tsukasa?
Also, the JP fandom guess that this might be a complementary set to last year's JP server white day because the virtual show item for this event is 'Black Knight's Sword Penlight'?? Speaking of black knight, Tsukasa brought up his acting as that character in Rui's Dazzling Stage card too... Nah, probs a coincidence.
AND THE NEXT EVENT IS DEFINITELY TSUKASA FOCUS!!! LOOK AT THAT UNICORN!!! AND CAUSE BOTH EMU AND NENE ARE 3DMV, WE'LL GET A 2DMV FOR HITOSHIZUKU X YAMA COMMISSION SONG YEEEEEAAAAAHHHH
Also, we finally get our circus theme lol. I'm actually kinda on the fence about circus and clown theme, but they've been teasing us about how Tsukasa is a clown/pierrot from the beginning so I'm glad we might get Tsukasa as a clown card (cause I'm pretty sure if Rui gets a card he'd be the ringleader of the circus)
Toki said that this song is something that the impression of the song shouldn't be put into words, although Hirose said that the song is stylish (jazz!!). Toki also said that this part is like, made up of everything (?) Kinda confused about that part but Hirose said that we needed to listen to it again after we finished the event (and for everyone who haven't read WxS stories to read all of them, reminding me I haven't read Revival of Dreamer yet www). Toki also maybe (?) spoiled something when he asked 'how far would Tsukasa go?' and Hirose quickly followed up with 'how far would everyone go' lol
Also, love how Tanabe also couldn't say much about Niigo Teniwoha's commissioned song because it might spoil the story too lol. Poor Niigo and WxS, both groups are in a crisis so they can't say much about their impressions www

For the holidays I want to make transparents of the two Christmas song MVs we have, but I'm not sure which I should do first
NIJIIRO STORIES has WxS, which isn't featured on here as much, but I don't think the 2DMV puts them in anything Christmas-y
Worldwide Wander has the characters in much more Christmas-y outfits, but I do a lot of MORE MORE JUMP already
So I'm leaving the decision to you guys! I plan to do both eventually, so regardless of the result they'll both come out
(As for why the other Christmas event songs aren't here, Kashika doesn't have a 2DMV yet, and the latest event song won't be released until after Christmas. Also not sure if these actually count as Christmas events even though I love saying Kashika is my favorite Christmas song)
