Personally I love that Xiao Xingchen looks like such an angel and then there's his two judgemental, disgusted boyfriends

I don’t know how to upload videos from bilibili but this interview with Ji Li was fun!
- He drew up a profile for Nie Huaisang, including the three things that are important to him/represent him, which are fans, his brother, and his heart.
- It feels like he really did a deep dive into understanding Huaisang because he fielded a lot of questions about Huaisang’s character.
- People say that Huaisang has a good temper, but Ji Li clarifies that his temper is good as long as you don’t mess with his family (i.e. his dage).
- What Huaisang wanted to say to dage when he was sixteen years old: Don’t bother me, I don’t want to practice my bladework
- What Huaisang wanted to say to dage afterwards: Dage, I’ve succeeded, and I love you! (but then Ji Li gets embarrassed lol) (I LOVE how much Ji Li acknowledges Huaisang’s love for dage because I love the Niebros)
- Huaisang actually feels/felt comfortable that Dage had Xichen and Guangyao by his side. Since Mingjue was more impulsive, it was good that he had a close friend who was wise/resourceful and another close friend who was rational.
- Huaisang suspected something about Dage’s death because most Nie sect leaders didn’t qi deviate at such at a young age as Dage.
- Then Ji Li talks about Huaisang’s relationship with Wei Wuxian and why he thought he was a good pick to help him solve the mystery behind Dage’s death and disappearance. Huaisang also had a lot of fun with Wei Wuxian at the Gusu Lan lessons because he didn’t really have any playmates his own age back at Qinghe.
- Ji Li sympathizes a little bit with Jin Guangyao.
- Ji Li talks about the burden that Nie Huaisang carried in his 16 years as sect leader. He was very young when he took up the mantle. Not only would a wrong step put him in danger, but also the members of his sect could be at danger too.
- Ji Li gives himself a 6.8/10 on his acting performance because it’s not quite at a 7/10 but he doesn’t think it’s as low as 6/10. 6.85 is good. Or even 6.93. (lol)
- The coolest scene to film was in the Guanyin temple because there was a lot of prep that went into it beforehand. For one, it was really hot. And at this point the tensions in this scene were running high so the feelings that came with each action were complex.
- If Ji Li were to be in another drama with all the dudes of the untamed, he’d want it to be a school drama (everyone keeps their character’s personalities though).
- Ji Li talked about Wang Zhuocheng’s new drama (actor for Jiang Cheng) and how he gets to have a romantic relationship. Ji Li gets all sad because he wants a love interest in his drama(s) too. And then he gets fake salty because now that Wang Zhuocheng has a love he don’t need his bros no mo.
- The interviewer asked Ji Li to ask Wang Zhuocheng a question. Ji Li was like...what is the lowest I can go and the interviewers were like go as low as you want. Ji Li asked Wang Zhuocheng if he were to kiss an actress on screen, who’d he want it to be.
- Ji Li was asked about his favourite reaction meme. It’s one of this guy going “Bet you didn’t think of that!”
- If Ji Li were to join a survival show, he’d want to partner up with someone who’s not so dull, someone who would protect him, and someone who would take care of him, so he chose Li Bowen XD (Song Lan’s actor) Bowen is tall so he can climb trees, he regularly works out so he stronk and can protect him, and he has a good personality.
- For the survival game question, Wang Zhuocheng actually chose Ji Li so Ji Li immediately changed his answer and was like yeah for sure I’d pick Wang Zhuocheng! He’s tall so he can climb trees and he’s a fun person! But the reason why he initially didn’t choose Wang Zhuocheng was because he didn’t think he’d protect him lol. Then the interviewer revealed that Wang Zhuocheng choose Ji Li because he thought he’d be fun/fun to tease. So then Ji Li changed his answer back to Bowen lol.
- Ji Li wants to play a villain. The kind of villain who everyone hates the moment he appears. Someone like Xue Yang, who’s immediately evil the moment he appears on screen. (Makes sense since he initially auditioned for Xue Yang lol)
- If he wasn’t an actor, he’d want to be the owner of a Cat Cafe because he can just sit there and do nothing, just collects money and pets cats. (He acknowledges it’s not that simple but that’s the dream lol)
- Ji Li himself has three cats. They were all stray cats. One is Milk Tea, another is Black Rice, the third is Mashed Garlic. Milk Tea is a pretty lil girl, white with stripes (I don’t know what that kind of cat is called but there’s a pic in the video). Black Rice is a black cat and an uncle. Mashed Garlic is a white cat and also dumb and chunky lol. Ji Li gets exasperated at how big Mashed Garlic grew.
Sorry for any inaccuracies, this is very rough because I did it super quickly.
