Just Another Day in Hades...(Requiem of the Survivors Event React I)
Tumblr media
Hey hey everyone, we've got a fresh new event featuring our Hades bois!! We get a healthy dose of each noble, and seeing how they interact is quite amusing, just like how it was watching how our Avisos bois interact. It seems to me for their dynamic, our bois tolerate each other more than enjoy each other's company as they're too focused on living their lives for Leviathan (except for Glas who is literally trying to overthrow him but waiting for the right moment) But let's dive in because there's much to discuss regarding Levithan's lore and our eerily adorable Orias. (seriously he's like a doll, which they do describe him like that in the event story)
You know the drill lovelies, grab a snick snack, get comfortable, let's read my bullshit rambles while summarizing this thing. ( ˘▽˘)っ♨
Tumblr media
First I wanna touch on how Glas and Foras are on patrol, (Hades looks so pretty btw) and he's just like hahahhaaha angels asses getting poke Foras how about that?
Tumblr media
Foras goes to point out like matter of factly that whatever he's talking about isn't supposed to be used that way and Glas is like things are fully meant to be used for other purposes that's how you know it's good (basically how I took it) and Foras is 100% done with him lol So far their dynamic is "this is my annoying coworker that I must tolerate all the love of my boss"
Like foreal. Foras is a fan boy of Levi, just like Amon is a fanboy of Beel. OH and since it's a rainy day in Hades, Barbatos is hiding away in his coffin because he prefers sunny days (my sunshine, he's so particular, i'd cuddle with him in his coffin) And since it's about to rain again fucking Glas starts fucking around with Foras again
Tumblr media
No, he wasn't wanting to hang out with him or being nice, he was calling Foras "small" compared to his more spacious coffin. He was really egging him on to get mad and start a fight, but Foras chills out and this bothers Glas. Lol And then there's a slurping noise, and Foras immediately is like "Glas wtf stop it." and Glas foreal wasn't doing anything this time, but-
Tumblr media
This little dude shows up, our blood thirsty Orias.
Tumblr media
So it's revealed here that Orias is taking apart an angel so he can eat the soul, which is a glowing orb of light. This glowing orb is edible...
Edible you say....
Tumblr media
ANYWAYS different fandom cameo (inner joke for those who know)
Tumblr media
And thus why I brought up Geto in the first place my lovelies. Exactly why. (if you don't get it, Geto is from JJK and swallows cursed souls and they're this huge ass orb he just eats who no gag reflex)
But a little before this, Foras and Glas are not happy to see Orias. At all. Turns out these two hate him, because he keeps trying to come after Leviathan's soul. Orias had originally been teasing with Foras saying that he probably hoped he wasn't gonna come back at all after being gone for so long (huh wonder if he's been out killing angels)
Tumblr media
So every time he eats an angel orb, he gets even younger. So what I can already tell is that he's obsessed with being younger, so while he looks like a child, he's really thousands of years old (guesstimating because devils and angels have been around a long ass time in this universe)
Pit stop on Orias for a moment, but the more they describe him in the story, the more I'm convinced that while his design is cute, love his jewelry, he does appear very childlike. And we run into the entire Stolas thing again, however, Orias looks much younger than Stolas (to me anyway and his body is boyish too, this is explained in the story that he's smaller in stature as well) While I understand this is more of appearance, some of his mannerisms are even childish, the tantrums, the pouting, the whining (which come with age regression so I do think they hit that point pretty well)
Tumblr media
SO after all that with Foras and Glas meeting Orias, they go to warn Levi about it, who's really blah blah blah whatever because he doesn't care about it too much. The other subjects though are rattled to hell,
Tumblr media
And here he is, Orias making his grand entrance just bolding stating and asking for Levi's soul.
And Levi being the way he is lol
Tumblr media
Just, no hanging, no punishment for Orias. Just a simple No.
I'm not gonna lie this was a surprise for me on Leviathan's attitude and character. Normally he's so abrasive and here he's being...hm? Soft...kinda like Solomon had a point in Chapter 5.
Tumblr media
See? Orias has a noose and Levi doesn't even bother to use it. He's strangling a random subject that demanded Orias be punished (he was stupid to even speak he knows how Levi is lol)
So they explain how every devil wears a noose because it's a symbol of everyone's loyalty to Leviathan and that their lives belong to him in so other words. Live for Levi. Die by Levi. (why does this sound like a cult /hj)
Orias is an exception to this rule though. Leviathan is even having a small chat with Orias as if he never said what he said and he warns him about eating too many souls but Orias being himself, he can't get enough.
Tumblr media
Also revealed that Orias is possibly older than Levi. They never really confirm his age btw but there's more lore about their history and dynamic here in a bit.
Tumblr media
And it's brought up once more that Levi is lenient on Orias even after he's been so blunt and rude basically.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So some lore here! (so this is much faster to screenshot this instead of each indiv. screenshot lmao idky i didn't do this before)
in short Orias is a special cookie and has like VIP access to Levi's more chilled behavior. At first I didn't really understand that until I kept on with the story. But Levi is sending Orias off on a errand and he promises he can eat as many souls if he does it, but Orias only wants one thing...and well Levi just lies to him about promising a chance
Tumblr media
And with that, Orias is off to do his errand but I honestly don't think he trusts that Levi says what he says. That and it's a known thing that some devils are capable of lying and that's because these two hold a special loophole.
but we'll get to that later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MY SUNSHINE MY LIGHT MY BOUNCY BOO. give me that full body sprite dammit *foams at the mouth*
Barbatos enters the chat! Our lovely sun devil is out in the semi-nude today because there's more sun. He literally stayed in his coffin all day because it was raining. I find that he and I are polar opposites on that front because I hate sunny days (where I live it's humid, not dry so the heat during the spring and summer is unbearable) I don't even like rainy days here unless it's like in the 60s and raining because at least it's not that damp, hot rain. ANYWAYS Foras btw was asking Barb who he was talking to and Barb is like THE SUN DUH <3 he speaks to her with his body and I think that's the cutest thing.
Tumblr media
Ooop. Glas is a hater I see. It makes me wonder if he just doesn't like seeing Barb naked because he's too positive and bright about it. Barb even annoys Glas more by saying he loves being naked and Glas having these reactions to him doing so makes him laugh and more happy that he's being honest about his feelings. Oh Barb, i love u.
But yeah after he's basically telling the two emo bois in front of him what's up, Foras lets him know Orias is back and well...
Tumblr media
Glas tells him (again) to put him clothes on and his freaking vines turn into clothing. That's dope.
Tumblr media
Barb saying fuck unprompted on main?
s a y it s l o w e r
(not me flirting with him during a srs moment, help)
Glas makes an observation that Orias may be that great of a devil if Barb doesn't even like him.
Tumblr media
A lover huh? After you're done with loving the sun Barb, save your love for me I am hopeless, I need you to make me a bed of rose petals in your coffin and I'll sit in them (if I can fight through my issue with touching plants T_T)
Tumblr media
Foras calls him out on that statement and I love his energy. Foras is that devil. That guy. He literally does not give a single fuck about it. (Unless it's MC he cares about what they think and Levi) Barb respects Orias in his own way. Meaning he don't respect him at all lmao be fr right now. But n o rlly he does explain why he has his own view. Orias is a good ally, and that if Levi sees him so highly then he must be alright in some way. Foras agrees that Levi doesn't make mistakes so that must be true.
But Glas comes in with the reality check. He doesn't trust him. He says everyone is pretty much blinded by Orias's appearance as being innocent.
Tumblr media
He brings up the fact that he's literally trying to kill Levi, and he's older than him, might even be older than Luci. (interesting...) And the three of them just start arguing about who's right, and if Orias is really that bad or if Glas is just being weird again and gloomy and trying to start shit but it is mostly Glas starting shit so-
Tumblr media
And low and behold all of them get strung up because Levi's ears were burning (not literally he just knew they were talking shit about someone else when he's not there to hear about it) see I told you all he'd just come by and be like "i heard you were talking shit...not in my palace you won't"
lol
Because Levi was jealous about them talking about Orias, all three of them get blasted with his energy and now they're jealous thinking why the fuck is Orias always spared but we can't catch a break. Levi finds this amusing so he stops punishing them. And Glas is quite perturbed because Levi goes right over to him and tells him he was doing too much. Glas challenges Levi on that and wants to know why it's them that gets punished when they've served Levi for years. Orias shows up and he acts the way he does and suddenly he's the majesty's bestie now or whatever.
Tumblr media
As we see here, Levi is just really amused by all of this he doesn't even care of what Glas even said. It's pretty much him being like "oh look at the giant devil whining about not being my favorite. cute"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Levi asks Glas before we get here "who's the only other that can doubt and lie like I can?" No one can answer that but Levi explains that it's Orias and why. He was raised at the same 'farm' as him in heaven. BIG LORE STUFF. So it's confirmed that Orias and Levi know each other on another level. Our Hades bois are excited to hear more about their majesty's past because it was rare for any of the nobles to really know stuff like that, especially in levi's case. AND this is a great stopping point for part 1!!! See you all in part 2 ^^

Our main girl is back friend!!! How are we feeling?
I really really like how MacKay wrote her but I would have liked to see some of her thoughts more explicitly shown. Like, people who know Marlene KNOW that she is ruthless, she was Marc's perfect match (or Steven's if you will) and she goes straight to the point.
But seeing her back with that strength made me fearful for the reaction of people who already don't like her.
In my opinion her whole self visibly softened when Jake appeared and he just... he was so incredibly adorable when talking to her, but she couldn't talk to him in that moment and I feel like it would have been so much better if MacKay had taken the time in that moment to have Marlene actually give Jake a word that was just for him, you know?
Because she said so her self she love(s)ed them and they all love her (!!!! finally !!!!) so I would have seen her show the softness that I saw in her also in the form of words. Mostly because Jake was written in his most adorable form yet.
Also, you know my feelings about Di and Jake and Marc... But, I really loved the fact that Di has her mother's and her father(s) attitude.
I wonder tho, what else might have happened, "or die trying", seemed the only off thing from Marlene but then again maybe we are missing some info 🤔
Also, Marc being like "I will leave the mission behind" for Marlene needs to make people understand that Marc believes in his love for Marlene and wants her back and there is no fighting that. But Marlene knows how much that would mess him up and we know that she knows, but it would have been better if she had expressed that with real words (for the readers, because Marc doesn't need it)
Overall it was a great issue and I can't wait to see more of Marlene and Frenchie, who would surely be as straight forward as Marlene with his feelings.
Eheheheh, I've only just gotten a chance to sit down and answer this (finally), but please believe me when I say that this ask has been sitting rent-free in my head since I got it hahaha.
I, too, am so incredibly excited that we at last got to see a bit of Marlene (and Diatrice too!). It's been four years since Moon Knight (Vol. 8/2016), #200 and the last time we've seen either of them, barring Marlene's cameo in Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood (Vol. 1/2022), #2, but if any author's going to bring back characters from Marc's past, it would be Mr. MacKay....can you tell that I'm still shook he actually remembered Marlene's ex-husband??? xD
But yeah, I see what you mean about wishing Marlene's motivations(? feelings???? internal life????) were a bit more explicit and I continue to be too much of a chicken to actually venture into the "Marlene Alraune" tag for fear of what I might find. Personally though, however, I have had little to no reason yet to doubt Mr. MacKay's handling of this book and I have hope that this might be a starting point from which he can begin to develop both his interpretation of Marlene's character and her relationship with Marc in this new volume and post-Age of Khonshu era.
If anything, as much as I would have also loved to have seen a bit more warmth between Marc and Marlene, I see it as an interesting starting point from which their relationship can hopefully rekindle. The amount unsaid between them did well to communicate just how much distance remains between them even if Marlene's back from France and the number of barriers that have been put up between them (i.e. I'll never be over the symbolism of Marc putting the Mr. Knight mask back on after Jake took it off).
Overall and I'm sure you at least are aware, it would take a lot for me to dislike Marlene; mainly because I find her to be such a fascinating commentary on the "superhero's girlfriend" archetype. She occupies this compelling space where she was never a costumed hero in her own right, yet she for a long time took on a much more active role in crimefighting than I've typically seen. Similarly, I just find how Mr. MacKay wrote her in this annual to be unique in that she obviously has a long history of fondness for Marc, Jake, and Steven, but considering where they're at in their relationship, she doesn't exactly....cater to Marc, she lets him stand on his own as his own man fit to take responsibility for his actions and makes it clear that Diatrice is her priority. I guess, what I'm trying to say is that I would love to see Marlene discussed in the ongoing "women in comics/fiction/etc. are only allowed to be nurturers" debate (even if I'm too cowardly to directly engage with it myself), because, yeah, Marlene is a mother, but she makes it clear that Diatrice is her sole and only responsibility and that she will do anything and reach out to any resources available to her, including Moon Knight, to do that job right.
Anyway, thanks for giving me a chance to ramble on about one of my fave comic ladies. I love comic ladies in general, but *Marge Simpson voice* I just think she's neat. (Now here's to hoping we get a Frenchie sighting soon....fingers crossed)

(Gary anon) Eh, game rivals don't usually get the best treatment in the anime and that's a trend that's probably not going to stop soon. Not helped when a lot of people are hoping this new S/V one gets top billing next series. (And in true anime fashion, type advantages jobbing to make something look stronger reign supreme. At least Hatty got two attacks out) It's more like an epilogue, a post-story to the rivalry. Or rather Paul himself. (It's an interesting read, not too far off from)
.
(Part 2) (I usually heard from "behind-the-scenes" stuff) Especially when Blastoise is more mobile than ever, wasn't doing that pre-JN. And Hatterene using Dazzling Gleam as a shield like Gengar during Marnie. (Saw quite a bit of Japanese viewers compare to Ash's battle-style. I also some Palletshippers; on both ends, a bit miffed that there wasn't any moments with them here. Besides an congrats, I kinda expected that. But after hearing Gary supposedly watching Goh's battle)
(Part 3) (royale and his reasons why, I'm going to be more disappointed if he doesn't say anything about the PWC by November) We're going to see outrage regardless, it just won't be that. Cynthia losing is going to be a long week. (Subs are out, just mainly Gary and Goh sharing their resolves and getting more of Gary's motives: Apparently Gary's pride almost got him disqualified early on) While I'm still having a hard time calling this a "rivalry" more than mentoring,
(Part 4) I do appreciate how this plotline is helping flesh out Gary more. In a way that OS either half-missed out on or extends upon his Post-Johto growth in a bigger way than AG and DP. (The rivals who were going to be sneaky again actually end up aiding in the capture. Possible raid Dynamax battle foreshadowing) As for Paul, I already know the battle results cause leaks. Let's just say you and me are probably going to be happier with the episode than some people going
(Part 5) into it with expectations that were never promised. But, Paul having these Pokemon weren't coincidental; I'm just more curious on what he has to say. (Oh, and also one Masters matchup is likely known; does not contain Ash or Iris)
Yeah, true. Silver got only a brief cameo, Wally is nonexistent... oh well.
Yeah, at least it got a couple attacks in, that's better than what happened to poor Tyranitar.
That makes sense!
I'll have to take a look at it, I was distracted yesterday and it slipped my mind.
Yeah! It's been made abundantly clear that they've influenced each other over the years. It'd be so interesting for them to face each other in battle again, it's been way too long.
Yeah, I didn't expect much but it would've been nice. It's whatever. And yeah, hopefully he'll acknowledge the PWC, I'd be surprised if he didn't.
Unfortunately. I don't know if the fandom's always been like this and I was just less aware of it or if it's because way too many people hate Journeys but won't stop watching it just to complain (all the respect to people who decided they didn't like it and so stopped watching it) but it's exhausting.
Oh, that's an interesting detail. I appreciate that even as he's grown as a person, his pride is a core character trait that's been retained and can still cause problems. Good character writing there.
Yeah, it definitely feels more like a mentorship than a rivalry. But yeah this plot has been good for Gary's character! I'm glad he was brought back this way, I love what he's got going on.
Hm, interesting.
Oh. I've managed to evade leaks on that so far (though whether I'll be able to continue to do that until next Friday remains to be seen). But should be interesting. Yeah, more curious to hear what he has to say than about battle results anyway.
Oh? That's something. Very curious to see the matchups that happen.

I feel bad about this but despite getting to see characters I like in live-action for the first time the Ashoka series trailer really didn't do anything for me. Like yeah Thrawn and "heir to the empire" They said the thing!!! But ehhh. Don't know if it's burn out or what.
Star Wars, largely regardless of quality, being my comfort food when I'm doomer suicidal as all hell suddenly not working might be evidence of me slipping into a danger zone so that's very much 🙃
Hoping it's temporary and this weekend I'm planning to lock Scott outside of my bedroom with a big beef bone and finally read the Thrawn Trilogy after putting it off for six thousand years (sorry Fishy but holy shit does Scott hate when I try to do literally anything that he's not able to participate in.)
Was much more hyped by how this week's episode of Mando was droid centric and having reprogrammed B1s. 🥺
I love them so much aaaaaaaaa
There's one specific scene where a B1 goes back to old programming but like, they do so in the funniest way. They're like tugging handfuls of clothes out of a box and throwing them around all over the place and it's so fucking funny to me because everyone's like "battle droids are fucking everything up" and it shows this little guy in peak "I fucking hate boxes" energy just doing inconsequential naughty cat behavior.
The old dude kissing Dooku's ass I found pretty funny tbh djfjfjfjtjdjdhfjsbfjsjfjdh ok grandpa separatist warcrimes.
Also I don't fucking trust those mandalorian mercenaries (lead by the one dude) Bo Katan has history with. They're sus and racist. "Ohh Din is adopted so he's not a real mando" for fucks sake do y'all "true mandalorians" even have a viable breeding population at this point? The found family aspect of you guys was literally present in the old EU/Legends for fucks sake. Apparently according to one comic the shape of your fucking helmets was based on the skull shape of the now extinct race that were the "first Mandalorians" like some thousand fuck years ago???? So yeah he's suspicious.
People probably complained about the actor cameos(?) but I felt their characters were fine honestly. They're random extras on some random planet that's flashy and weird. Maybe retreading old ground a bit too much with another entry in "Princess Weird Hair" territory but at least it's consistent so if people were complaining about her for reasons other than Star Wars not trying something new and having another Weird Hair Princess I don't particularly see why. Only one who looked like they were "guest starring themselves" was Jack Black and he was random ex imperial human dude and his acting was fine so I don't think that's really a problem. Got the vibe that the character was forced into military at a young age despite being a silly eccentric soul and after the fall of the empire finally gets to have an adulthood being himself and he's making up for lost time. Who fucking knows. Like I said he's just a random extra who I don't even think will appear again. Star Wars having prominent actors in supporting roles that you can really notice as being those actors has been a thing since the beginning really. I never really experienced that though because of my age. Especially in the original trilogy where I had no idea what some of these actors were known for before and they're literally just type cast as their character to me at that point. I feel Alec Guinness would not like that one bit but I literally cannot see him in any other character. And Prequel Trilogy was largely the same way to me. Like Samuel L Jackson is first and foremost Mace Windu in my brain. I watched the marvel movies and was like "Mace Windu eye patch!!!" Doesn't help that I'm "actor blind" and tend not to even recognize actors a lot of the time in the first place. I only recognized Jack Black in this episode.
Wanted to see more about the Mon calamari prince and his squidhead gf. Is he the same one from the one episode of clone wars? A sibling? Wasn't there a comic where he died? I don't remember and didn't read it. I know this is the Mando show but I do want the franchise to explore specific aliens and their individual worlds/struggles more often. This might be controversial of me to say but having a little standalone movie or short series or something about some jawas goin on a little adventure, something akin to that one ewok movie I think I'd like to see. Maybe go a bit artsy 80s dark fantasy vibes with it. God this is just because I keep thinking about Jim Henson creatures again isn't it? Jawas weren't even puppets for fucks sake Andy. Yeah.
"Visions" felt like more like cool art demos and creative experiments than stories but if there were canonical little miniseries that just went off on tangents like how each episode of Visions was standalone and untethered I feel that's something the franchise could benefit from.
I suppose I could just as easily say I want brand new little scifi fantasy practical-effects-centric alien universes if I'm being honest. But I feel at this point nobody wants to do that because time and money. I'm only really getting my fix from whatever Disney allows Star Wars to do at this point. Where's the Star Wars knockoff equivalent of Kyle Edward Ball? Who's going to make the grimy 80s puppet and model starship skinamarink? Doesn't even have to be good I'll still at least try to eat that shit up lmfaooo
I do think the perpetual 7 year old in me might finally be experiencing Star Wars burnout though. Which scares me because as I said a while back, my inner child is the only part of me that has a will to live.
I've lost motivation for pretty much everything please let me still stay excited and feel creative through Star Wars aaaaaaaa 😭
Continuing to put off the season finale of Bad Batch because I have reason to believe it's sad and I don't want to be sad skdfsdlfjsd I am baby coward.

It's Dragon Age Day!
I have a mighty need to share my DA4 theory with you all.
This one is for all you Solas fans. It's gonna be a long one.
Much like Hawke making an appearance in DA:I, I believe our Inquisitor will also help out the DA4 protagonist. Going by the teaser trailer, we heard Varric's voice narrating the events, and him saying that he'll have our back. So we can take this to mean that he will either be in our party once again, or will at least be making a cameo. Maybe, like his role in Inquisition, he will be the one to introduce the new protagonist to the Inquisitor (or maybe it will be Dorian since we know the Inquisitor had their sights set on Tevinter for their search for Solas).
Either way, we'll meet up with the Inquisitor who has been struggling all this time with trying to keep up with Solas/Fen'harel who has always managed to stay one step ahead. However, with they hope that with the help of the new protagonist and their party, they may finally be able to find Solas. All our of clues, the new MC suggests going back to the start to see if maybe Solas left anything behind that might lead them to where his new headquarters are - which means going back to Skyhold (there could be multiple different reasons why, maybe they needed to find a working Eluvian, or maybe something the Inquisitor left behind, but either, they must go back to Skyhold).
Once there they begin to look around and they come upon Solas' old office. However, something has changed.
The old mural that Solas never finished before leaving after fighting Coryphaeus, has been finished. Now the Inquisitor knows without a shadow of a doubt that at some point Solas was there. As they take this in, Solas deicide to make his grand entrance - and depending on your relationship and what choices you made during Trespassor, I believe with change what greeting you get from him.
For example,
If you had a high approval with him and choice to try and redeem him, he'll greet the Inquisitor with a "Hello, old friend, I hope the years have been kind to you". He speaks kindly and you get the feeling that while he doesn't take joy in what he has to do, he is determined. And nothing can change that.
If you had a low approval with him and chose the 'no I don't have questions' option in trespassor, he greets you coldly with a "I always knew you'd be a torn in my side." kinda way. He is more annoyed with the Inquisitor's presence and thinks them below him.
If you romanced him, but chose to fight him in the end, he greets you sadly, sorrow clear in his voice and despair in his eyes. He understands your anger, but he knows he can't change that. He has his duty to fulfill. Maybe he greets you similarly to how he would greet friend!Inquisitor, but instead says "Hello, Vhenan, I hope the years have been kind to you.
But, if you romanced him, and choice to try and redeem him, he greets you with what looks like almost relief and happiness at the sight of the Inquisitor, but the despair in his eyes is still there. He knows he is still in love with Lavellan, and that she, even after all these years, is still in love with him. Maybe he greets her solely in elvish, or at least part elvish, something along the lines of "Ma Vhenan, I've missed you, even after all this time."
I think this scene is going to be the most important scene in the whole game. Because it's here that Solas will show his one weakness.
One thing that I've noticed about Solas, is that he absolutely loves it when someone underestimates him, and he gets the chance to prove just how smart and cunning he truly is. He purposely makes himself out to be the humble apostate, the unassuming traveler. He WANTS people to underestimate him, because that moment, that single moment where he gets his moment to shine and show off his knowledge and wisdom, is his favorite moment. And that is Solas' weakness.
Here he is, years of outsmarting the Inquisitor, those who knew him all thought he was a -as Dorian and Vivianne put- 'umwashed apostate hobo'. And then there's his network, who see him as this powerful being who had one of the power and influential organization in his pocket, the Inquisition. So if course he has to show off. Just a bit.
But for once, it's Solas who is tricked. As the new MC let's him talk and rant and explain and show off all his knowledge and wisdom, only for Solas to reveal just the lead they need to foil his plans. As soon as the words leave his mouth Solas quickly shuts his mouth and just as quickly turns to leave, because he realizes he has become his own undoing.
But don't think it'll be so easy for our new MC after that, because I fully believe that Solas will go through with his plans to tear down the Veil, and he'll be successful too. Well, mostly successful. Because after the confrontation at Skyhold, the party leaves to make their way to stop Solas once and for all, only to find him in the midst of preforming a ritual/gaining the power he needs/etc to tear down the Veil. They all try to stop, but fail at every try. As they look on in horror, they begin to see the veil tearing apart, and Fade merging with the real world. Just as see the tear growing, we see a person, and then people, coming out from the Fade.
The False gods.
They step forward, and look at the world around them. Unfamiliar and nothing like they know. Solas steps forward, he knows they're dangerous, and that they probably hate him. But they are all that remain of his old world. Like seeing a garbage dump you used to pass everyday in your childhood home town, it's not the part you like, or even want to associate with your home, but it's all he has left. Then someone of them greets him with a smile, "Brother!" They call out to him, and embrace him. And for just this moment, Solas thinks maybe, just maybe, he can have his old world back. It's almost too good to be true.
Because it is.
As he/she embrace Solas, they quickly take a dragger and stab him in the back. These were the people who Solas sealed away and who view him as the destroyer of their world. They have nothing but hate and loathing for him.
And with that, Solas' deepest fear came to pass. As he pushed away Lavellan, and his own kind turn on him - he dies truly alone.

Happy Dragon Age Day everyone!

Blu Hunt identifies as western European with part native heritage from her paternal grandmother. I think it's funny *not* how she plays native characters (The Originals, New Mutants) yet I don't see any name of her native heritage, nor pictures or posts to show any involvement, enrollment, affiliation to a tribe whatsoever... Also a non native American actress name True O'Brien was second choice (runner up) to play Danielle Moonstar. And... Devery Jacobs (Native Mohawk) auditioned but was passed
Also according to Devery Jacobs when she auditioned she came across Blu Hunt and According to Jacobs, Hunt told Jacobs that she is native American BUT... never said what's her tribe or heritage or anything like that whatsoever. Btw the casting is so good I love me some whitewashing *I hope this movie flops and Josh Boone blocked me for mentioning this whitewashing mess to him*
Lol one more thing, same anon here. It is rumored that they found an actress to play Karma in the new mutants movie and her name is Kimi Alexander but it's allegedly a small role, possibly a cameo. Casting went out looking for Asian actors ages between 18 to 22 to play a Vietnamese girl. I'm not kidding. Look up on Kimi Alexander New Mutants movie.
Lol once again Kimi Alexander is following and is followed by Josh Boone so it is very possible she's playing Karma but who knows. Josh Boone planned to have a new mutants horror movie trilogy *like why tho lol* anyways I'm glad but not too glad cuz of this casting. Btw Brazilian actor name Caio Paduan was considered to play Sunspot and girl... He's WAY HELLA WHITE... But given the bullshit casting with this sorry ass movie I'm not surprised they wanted someone not black to play Sunspot.
Wait a sec... The phenomenally talented actress Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs, who also most definitely looks more the part than Blue Hunt to boot, did audition for the role of Dani... and didn’t get it???
The second person was a white girl?????
So like
“The studio has reportedly confirmed their commitment to cast an authentic Native American in the part and after an international search, have cast Blu Hunt.”
That was all bullshit, then. Fucking figures.
Re: Blu Hunt... Some people have said she might be a faker, and I s2g if she is, fuck being disappointed, I will be furious. But I’m assuming this is why suspicions are high, if she supposedly cannot even provide specifics. Like, I do get wanting to protect your privacy, but I can’t think of a single Indigenous actor who doesn’t at least talk about what people they are of?
And also, ah yes
Tumblr media
What a perfect Sunspot.
Tumblr media
I mean, they’re practically identical. //Sarcasm
God this movie is going to be such a shitfest.
(I will look up Kimi Alexander, though!)
