my dr just casually talking about a diagnosis that apparently applies to me
me: wait, hey, uh, when did - i don't remember ever being diagnosed. huh, what do you mean?
dr: oops, did i not tell you?
#screaming#personal#i have been begging my drs to do more tests to get a dx for years at this point. and especially this last year before my wedding#but because our medical system is shit i couldnt get anyone to listen or believe me. spent the wedding day and entire honeymoom feeling#awful and not being able to enjoy everything. and not to mention the mental effects of not having a formal dx? the constant self doubt#especially with all of the medical gas lighting!!!! even other drs don't know about the dx because she neglected to dictate it#for over a YEAR. and i am in the appeals process for disability. they have denied my claims over and over because of my age#because theres no reason i should have this pain. and with no dx there was nothing to believe except my word which means nothing to the gov#ive been suffering physically mentally and financially and the dx would have helped significantly. i hate it here
