ok but I just thought back and realized that the lotr trilogy, having the hairstyles for the male characters that they had (aka alm all long haired or mid length), had a big influence on me as a child.

as big as that, after watching it (and continuing till this day), I never thought that a haircut conforms a certain gender. and, honestly, good for me
