couldn’t sleep for the life of me last night i was in that weird in between state where you’re not asleep but you’re not fully awake and i couldn’t stop thinking about the lyric “i keep these longings locked in lowercase inside a vault” and i know it could be a face value lyric but i know taylor knows we read into everything and it just lends so strongly to making you think of reputation tv. and then i realized guilty as sin? is basically the exact same story as high infidelity just told in a different perspective and the line reminding the listener of reputation (potentially) is the perfect key to unlocking the parallel that these two romances started the exact same way
