This is something that's been bothering me for a few years now, but of all the characters to align with the return of the Third Reich, why these three?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The three darkest-skinned characters in the entire series, one of which is coded as being Native American... and they're n*zis? These three???

Three things to consider. The first: Lesbians do in fact support Trans people. Not all would date trans women and that is okay. Those lesbians you refer to are in fact het women who are "political lesbians" who hate penis. They are married to men, for fucks sake. The whole "lesbians get attacked" point is a TERF talking point thats simply made up by TERFs. The second: The Anti Trans movement in sports is targeting cis women, many of them black, because of their natural testosterone levels. The anti trans campaigns in sports hurts cis women. Hurts cis girls who have to prove to their school teachers that their girls by showing their genitals. You think that's needed? Lastly: The Nazis came for the trans people first, before they started to persecute the Jews. TERFs are fascists. Simple as that. They dont care about protecting women. They care about taking bodily autonomy from people. Step one in the oppression playbook. You might think you're being nuanced, but you repeat disproven points from people who quote Hitler at their rallies. Please keep reading.
I would have said this is the most hilarious twisting of facts since the invention of homeopathy, but then you mentioned that last bit. I guess Hitler had 6 m Jews killed as collateral just so he could get rid of a handful of transvestites (using the historical term here since gender reassignment treatments were mostly unheard of back then). Sure, that makes sense.
Wow.
For my followers in case it interests you. The issue with sport that women have is precisely what has been twisted in the statement. Testosterone levels alone don't say shit because there are biological females with naturally high levels of them. Those levels have a more marginal effect than what a male body grew into (through male puberty), namely bigger bones and muscles (that don't go away simply from taking estrogen), bigger heart and lung. Here's an interesting albeit long video interview held by former (democratic!) presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard with one of the women that competed against Lia Thomas.
Also, the first claim is truly hilarious, because I happen to have heard from actual lesbians countless of times that they were pressured and bullied, and the internet is full of receipts of that. Here's a good article about it. I mean, just google "genital preferences transphobic" and you'll find tons of people claiming it is. And well, maybe listen to actual lesbians and their experiences with the matter.
Women say they've been harassed, threatened, slandered, pressured, and all that, and you have nothing better to do than saying it isn't happening.
I get wanting to defend trans people and trans rights, but here's the interesting bit: if you're a dysphoric person who simply wants to live their life, get the best possible treatment (including transition if that's the path that works best for you); if you respect women and girls, then the issue women like JK Rowling and others have is NOT with you. Genuine transgender/transsexuals were never the target of any of this. It was always about people abusing the system (self ID laws), most of all auto-gynephile men or men who simply make shit up to get into women's spaces, push women out of theirs, and steal their achievements. If you bothered to read what JK wrote or listen to her podcast, or listen to people working for The Lesbian Project like Kathleen Stock, you'd know this. Many (older) trans people know this and are arguing for the same things!
What your side (the extreme/extremist trans activism) does is essentially harming your own cause. Because, unlike LGB people and educated feminists, the regular people out there who are not inside the "queer" bubble are fed up with it. They are jumping to the chance to actually hate and harass trans people over this — over abusers and fakers having taken over the narrative and the course of activism, having pushed LGB out of the community and out of the focus of the public eye.
When people like JK Rowling started to speak up, we should have banded together to fight that abuse and educate on it. Because both women and trans people (genuinely dysphoric trans people) are vulnerable minorities with some overlap of interests. Historically, we've been allies.
It's not us who abandoned the cause, it's you who decided to die on the hill of defending the chosen identities of rapists (Women forced by courts to refer to rapists’ preferred pronouns), of condoning activism that is violent and abusive (Vancouver Rape Relief targeted), and of very obvious males obliterating women in sports.
And in all of this, you have little to no compassion for detransitioners, calling them either a rare outlier or fake, while they were so warmly welcomed into your communities as long as they identified as trans. But that's a very long topic, and I'm already late to get ready for work.
