another funny thing about malevolent is that—because it's difficult to differentiate voices when you only have one actor, id imagine—nearly every single character has a different accent, despite the fact that we're all in massachusetts (at least, as far as I've gotten, which is only episode 9)

relatedly, so far every single female character has been either a creepy old (and/or undead) lady who doesn't talk, or a girl who we don't meet bc she is dead—since having a girl who talks would require hiring An Actor
