undertale yellow, sort of further salt thoughts sort of rewrite thoughts; I've been thinking after talks w @metanarrates abt this game. talk of child death

so i more and more feel like the pacifist ending having everyone there be perfectly okay with clovers choice both sucks thematically and isn't that ic. i think clovers choice makes sense, to be clear, and it fits with them developing a sense of justice on each route; just that sense should be imperfect, I think. the trolley problem is right there in the game. there's situations where no answer is right. and surely this is one.

so like. what if instead of everyone quietly agreeing and going together, ceroba agreed and martlet immediately got angry. argued that this is a child, that clover can't make that choice, it's unfair, they should at least like live there a few years and get to grow up before deciding anything that heavy.

ideally in this take id love it if everyone saw the ceroba fight flashbacks, because I think she argues that clover has the right to make their own choices, and I think it'd hit harder if martlet could fire back "like kanako did?" lmao. but yeah ceroba is holding the stance that this can be a hard but necessary choice and that clover should get the final say. she'd do the same in their shoes, after all.

starlo unfortunately is such a people pleaser and I think is just recovering from losing trust in ceroba so he's trying to appease every side. suggesting they take a few minutes and calm down, trying to make jokes to lighten clovers mood. it doesn't really help anything just makes the tension more awkward.

finally, maybe, ceroba uses her barrier powers to block things off and just. resolves it. the barrier drops, martlet runs to hold clover as ceroba walks off with the soul to deliver it. starlo kneels by clover, and they fade out with those two for company.

maybe keep the funeral scene but it's clear they're all only there because they think clover would want that and no one is dealing with each other well. martlet has quit the royal guard and is aimless and unsure, starlo has gone back to the farm and become a bit of a recluse, ceroba is maybe hinting that she's going to make another raid attempt on the lab, dalv is just trying to adjust to life outside when it seems like no one wants to connect. they're all pretty fractured and fucked up and like... might recover but the damage of "a kid died for us" is sticking.

and that's what you're left with. maybe it was the right thing for the underground, the just thing for monsterkind, but that doesn't make what was asked of clover okay, and the people who witnessed it or aided with it have to live with that burden. even when freedom comes, clover still will have died, and that will have changed the people they loved. justice will never be perfectly realized.

Axis genoice fight might just be my favorite Mostly because Clover is constantly mad in this route, since you corrupted their soul into a twisted sense of Justice (Or well, revenge) they only see violence against the monsters as the solution

Something I love about this game is how the point where you arrive to the Steamwork in the pacifist route is when Clover starts to be more alive, after what you made them go through they begun to like the monsters, first time Starlo made his pose thingy they just awkwardly stared at him, but before entering the Steamworks they imitate their pose And to the pacifist ending, Clover just does more and more actions by their own, like smiling and doing the fistbump with Martlet or hugging Ceroba by their own when you spare her

In genocide however, despite doing few things by their own, is only at the Steamwork when Clover starts to show just how far they've come, they want to slove things quickly, at this point, they're so deep into getting revenge that they can't even think about anything else at this point

I thought we were gonna kill Axis in the first encounter, making things faster as normal genocides do, but shooting Axis OUT of battle and making him run away is just Oh God

Clover was mad when they finally fought, however, Axis mentioning killing a human was the straw that made them gatter that strenght Despite the twisted sense of Justice they have now, is still a strong determination, they higher they exp by themselves, they heal, they destroy the trash tap with a shot and not only kill Axis, but just absolutely demolish him

So yeah, the Axis fight is my favorite in terms of context so far, can't wait to see what Martlet's gonna be up too

Like there's NO way she just run away from good after the dunes, she's definitly going to be the last boss isn't she?

Random thought, ik it's just a fangame but in UTY... Do you think the player or something of the sort control Clover as well?

Clover doesn't have the red soul, yes, but the whole concept of Clover being able to actively change the endings and not repeat anything is strange to me.

Because, while all humans have determination, Clover shouldn't have as much as Flowey, as shown by Flowey having control of the timeline. So. How can Clover do things such as avoid previous deaths when they should have no memory of how they died? Like, is it implied somewhere that Flowey just explains what happened so they can get by?

What about resetting though, Flowey urges Clover to possibly do something different when they're stuck in limbo with each other. So how COULD Clover do that? I mean yeah Flowey could possibly guide them without telling them what happened but say you do a Pacifist run and then suddenly Clover is out to kill all monsters. I don't think Flowey convinced them to do that. In fact, Toriel and Flowey come off as friendly to Clover so at most they would go neutral if they had thoughts of attacking monsters before hand.

So unless it's implying that all humans are aware of the timelines, is they're something controlling Clover? If so.. Is it the Player? Is it something else?

....Please no one take the idea of a Justice Soul Player away from me, I wanna be the one who makes that(even if I don't fully believe it to be true)

actually I had been thinking about that for a long time. practically the release of deltarune ch1.

since the player's soul is red in both Undertale and deltarune and we don't actually canonically KNOW what the red soul represents.

sure it says it's filed with determination but red doesn't necessarily mean that. ALL human souls have determination. determination is like the energy of the soul itself not the red colored soul...

so by that logic

I do think it's possible.

why?

because the player ISN'T ALWAYS RED! we actively change the soul color depending on game dynamics.

sometimes it's triggered by a monsters magic, sometimes WE THE PLAYER are switched into it because of the game mechanics.

so by that logic it's not unlikely to say that there's a yellow vessel for players!

or green or any color!

just think a blue and cyan vessel would be incapable of moving in battle by default unless it's turned another color.

an orange vessel can't stop unless turned to another color.

it's about what's the vessels DEFAULT.

*Flowey twitches. How can Kara go from threatening something worse than death to laughing with Dess in a matter of a minute? Is this a joke? Not to mention Flowey's urging to leave are ignored. He can't help but feel annoyed rather than happy and trusting for the reunion like he should be. He can't understand it. And he still doesn't have a reason to like Dess. Why would Kara be friends with this idiot? He responds bitterly to the exchange.*

Funny enough, while you believed Kara would protect Noelle with their bond, the whole reason she died was because the two of them were too busy having a lovey-dovey moment to realize anything. I'm not saying Kara is strong, but I think you both should learn by now that “the power of love” doesn't help anything in the end!

You tell me what positives came out of all this compared to everything else. What is it, Dess came back versus your gain and loss over the timeline, stress over the possibility of the roaring, and millions of deaths including her sister and your “girlfriend?”

*Flowey pulls Kara aside, talking to them with a strained smile.* It's smart that you say you can't forgive her, Kara, but what you're doing being friends with her again so quickly doesn't make sense. *He mimics their voice.* "How could I stay mad at you even when you indirectly killed millions?" Do you know how stupid you sound? And after all that she haven't proved anything yet that she is acting any more responsibly. She said it herself that she felt dissociated.

That means she doesn't care.

Let's.

Go.

Suddenly there's a ring, Toriel opens it and…

(Clover) "Howdy, not to disrupt your little powwow, but you seem completely angry at each other. Funny to see, right? Flowey always being mad at the holidays. You're like a baby Grinch. Hello Dess, I assume that's your name due to the conversation. Seems like your parents hated you as much as mine. Naming you after a holiday, how lazy can you get?"

(Kara) "Can we give it 5 minutes before you try to ruin everything?"

(Clover) "You really are a hypocrite, aren't you? Looking at someone's actions as heroic even when they kill millions to get there. First Flowey, now Dess. To be honest, Laughs you all are the same. Monsters are always justifying killing to get somewhere to kill more. Look at this Universe. All they told me was to kill you, but now I see even this 'Utopia' is worse than most places. Six dead kids, and for what? We gave you a place to reside in peace, and you just had to go up and ruin it by killing. I am justice and judgment. And it seems like you are going to have a terrible time."

(Dess) "You racist pig!!! I'm sorry I tried to make my sister stronger. I'm sorry monsters want to be equals. Woe is you and humanity."

(Clover) "Come on, we all know we're the superior species. We're more powerful anyway. You are just some evolutionary mistake."

(Dess) "Say that to my face one more time."

(Clover) "They smile right in Dess's face and say as loud as they can, "MONSTERS ARE JUST AN EVOLUTIONARY MISTAKE!!!"

Dess readies her magic.

(Dess) "I'm willing to guess you will join me? If so, then let's beat some motherfucking ass."

Hello hello!

It is so good to meet you!

The names Stitch and I'm here to write!

As stated above in my bio, I have plans of writing for fandoms and many things.

For fandom writing, I have loads of fun planned! If you like reader insert, oc insert, ships, and headcanons this is a place for you! Down below I'll have a list of fandoms that I will write for! I'll also have a few things I will and will not write, you can find a list of such down below as well!

I will also be doing creative story writing, ideas, prompts, other shorts, and original character creation. With this, it will be anything I either write or create that is not made before. Of course, if anything I write is inspired by a photo or other writer I will give credit to whoever or whatever inspired me!

I am not the greatest writer, nor am I the greatest with ideas. I am here simply for enjoyment and fun! I will also hopefully learn and grow as I write but, it is not my main priority of mine so if it bothers you then sadly here is the door. Otherwise, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Another thing I will be writing the characters as how I see and how I portray them. If they aren't your cup of tea then sorry but my stories are my writing and I will do how I please.
