andy: yeah, we know when to stay away. we still hang out. we go to movies together, get food together sometimes, but then also have our separate times.

patrick: you know one of the things that i think is funny is the way everybody expresses anger, right? not like freaking out anger, but just when you're frustrated about something. it took a long time to understand that, where now it's like, 'oh is pete mad at me? oh, no, he's frustrated with something.' like you can kinda...now it's like this unspoken thing where it's not a lot of like, you leave the room like, what was up with him? you kinda know what the vibe is. you kinda know what everyone's feeling. it's kind of intuitive now after twenty years.

patrick: i don't wanna be...too much of a tangent, but...we made this record, folie à deux, which was our last record that we did with neal avron. and it was very experimental and we were all just kinda pushing things and seeing what we could do, but we as a band at the time were very fractured and very all over the place. and i had had this wanderlust to get back in the studio with him now, because we are a different band of people at this point. we get on so much better, we communicate better, both interpersonally and musically. so i was like, "i would love to see that again." you know, now that...and we've also learned so much. andy, you said it was like superpowers. we all have superpowers now. and it's like what could that be -

andy: that is what i said.

patrick: that is what you said, yeah! and so i feel the sound of this record is really just...us actualized as us, you know...

the thing abt anaistarion is that i DO absolutely Ship It and am excited to explore it in every form. but i’m p sure i’ve done a good job not forcing that on any of my mutes who write astarion. at least i have tried bc i get what it’s like to write a character who’s so popular and i don’t want my partners to feel like i only value them or their portrayals for the shipping opportunities. like just bc i’m upfront about my ship biases on the dash/in personal headcanons doesn’t mean i will forceship in practice, y’know? it was the assumption that i must also be doing that which rubbed me the worst abt the anons i received. i don’t like the feeling of being willfully misunderstood (or maliciously misrepresented). otherwise i just found them funny.

🌸🪻 MARI AND SUNNY'S TICKLE HEADCANONS 🐈‍⬛🖊

It was mentioned that Sunny got Mari's bed because it was softer and stuff and honestly all I can think is that, before it, Mari would simply get up from her bed to get a glass of water or to make something mundane for a few secs and when she got into her room again that would be a smol-human-shaped lump admist all her plushies/covers and Sunny would refuse to leave most of the time (not that Mari really minded) but be very willing to make up space for her to lay and cuddle

Sometimes tho Mari would feel very playful and just start to lightly spidering her fingers on his sides and back when they were in that situation and Sunny would get all squirmy and smile but not really moving away because the tickling is so light and he is comfortable. After keeping this up for a few seconds she would eventually launch a full tickle attack until Sunny rolled out of the bed and keep pouting at her from his spot on the floor until she chuckled, made grabby hands at him and promised that she wouldn't tickle him anymore.

Mari loves to play with Sunny's hair. After a whole afternoon of playing and goofing around he would usually lay his head on her thighs to rest and she would comb her fingers through his hair strands. It wouldn't be very rare of her to slip a few silly wiggly fingers to scribble on his neck or tease his ears, especially if dinnertime is getting close and he doesn't want to wake up.

Cheer up tickles and wake up tickles. That is it. That is the whole headcanon.

They don't know who got this from who but both Hero and Mari have this tradition that when their young sibs are trying to escape from the tickle monster (I feel like while Kel is very good at running, Sunny would be amazing at dodging but idk) they open their arms for a hug, chasing after their sibs and talking about how could they run away from some lovely sibling loveee~

Mari likes to pretend that tickling Sunny is like playing an instrument. His sensitive ribs can be a piano, the ticklish legs a guitar and his tummy-yummy (her words exactly) a trumpet. Also, even tho Sunny feels embarrassed, he secretly loves the fact that she says that his laughter is a melody.

One of Sunny's favorite passtime between him and Mari is that when Mari is playing or writing but he still wants interaction, he can sit on her lap and watch her do her own thing, and sometimes he get bored and turn around to hug her or just rest a face right under her chin and she will rub his back. It's more relaxing than really tickly but still it puts a wobbly smile on his face and it's one of the few things that make his mind go completely blank, 100% concentrated on how warm, comfy and nice this feels.

(Mari can and will be sometimes evil enough to pinch and pinch the ticklish spots on his spine, which makes him lose his concentration and huff and puff his way thro a few giggles before he manages to lay a very-light-but-still-warning raspberry on her neck.)

(Depending on their mood it can evolve to a full tickle fight)

Mari laughs together with Sunny when she is tickling him. She loves how cute and carefree he looks like when someone decides to knead his sides or skitter under his knees. Besides, Sunny always - and I mean *alwayas* - get EXTREMELY gigglier when someone laughs with him. He doesn't know to explain why but he could swear it makes the tickles 100% ticklier

Mari was the first to discover that Sunny has ticklish cheeks because he was such a CUTE lil KID she couldn't help but to kiss his chubby cheeks over and over again until her precious lil bro was a mess of uncontrollable laughter and squeaks in her arms

When he gets older, Sunny manages to make at her the most '-' and -.- faces when he can see the tickle attack come, which soon turns into a pout, then huffs of quiet yelps, - sometimes a snort or two - and then the lovely laughter that we love and appreciate so much! And look at this beautiful smile :D

hey what's the best thing that happened to you this week?

I made apple cinnamon scones last night and they turned out pretty good! I wanted to make something nice to share with my coworkers because getting to work on Marathon Monday is rough and we all deserve a treat. Baking stuff to share with other is one of my favorite things :)

chiyo thinks about their smiles -- the fangs peeking out in gaia's grin, the stubble surrounding niko's, the way rayo's eyes light up. and when she thinks about their smiles, she can't help her thoughts straying towards their lips and how they might feel pressed against her own. she can't help imagining how they might do it, if they'd be gentle, slow, taking their time, or if they'd kiss her with the hunger that seems to guide her gaze these days ( it's embarrassing how often she's nearly been caught staring at each of their mouths ).

the flush upon chiyo's cheeks turns a deeper hue of red, and she clears her throat, shifts in her seat and runs a hand through messy tresses. she's not saying that thought out loud, even if she is a little drunk.

" y'know, i just think about normal stuff. what might make 'em all smile and whether they've eaten yet. yeah. " girl, you could not be more suspicious with that delivery. " can we move on? "

An early note about Higgins that i found tho that I'm absolutely retconning now is that he's intimidated by Alden and Lanius

But he wasn't! He grew into being a person again slowly, via North's transference!

He crawled to consciousness day by day surrounded by the fact that Lanius looks scary but is actually really sweet and polite and makes North feel at ease. That Alden is sometimes terrifyingly extroverted but also falls over himself trying to accomodate others. And the others too, how Kohlrabi shines when they ramble at ppl. How Keiko loves ppl through actions rather than words. How Ordis occupies this strange yet simple place in everyone's lives where he is somehow both "friend" and "home"

Higgins knows these before he even knows himself. He has no reason to feel intimidated
