Ghostbur came to life w so little memories that the L’Manberg he exists in isn’t the one he knew, it isn’t his HOME and its because of the actions of Alivebur, “from the words that I’ve said”. But regardless he still remembers things and needs to write them down both for him and everyone else

He tries to remember being alivebur, the bad he did, but he just CANT and also hee hoo lines abt being dead and ghost character go brrrrrrr

Again, the disconnect between Wilbur and ghostbur!! Maybe this is trying to remember or him reading up on the history of l’manberg, learning what Wilbur did. “Is this carcass even ME” bc in the end he’s a different PERSON from alivebur, he can’t relate to any of alivebur’s actions.

OKAY hear me out but this is abt him like. Existing. Him BEING a ghost. He’s isolated from the ppl around him bc they have all these memories he doesn’t and they cant separate him from what alivebur did. The “I deserve forgetting” is less “ppl should forget about me” and more “I should forget what I know” bc hhhrnrng amnesia. Trying to remember is upsetting and he always forgets in the end, even if someone else tells him. Why bother? He deserves to forget instead

Hey remember how ghostbur is trying to get revived despite very clearly being terrified of dying because he thinks its whats best for everyone else. Remember how he told phil the second time that he was better with it now because he’s seen the other side. :)

Do I NEED to clarify jfkldsjfkld my mans ghostbur THRIVES off of emotional suppression. He ignores his own negative feelings and just tries to make sure no one else around him feels the same way (w his blue). He straight up suppresses any sad feelings or memories, which means he has this “writers block” when writing his memories bc its stopping him from returning to that dark place. Like. BRUH ITS PERFECT FOR HIM.

Ghostbur cant ever really realize when shit is fucked as part of his coping mechanism. When techno is getting hunted down for execution (again, a friend dying) he distracts himself by finding friend instead. He just. Cant deal w reality.

Clean Slated Slate – first off, the altogether deserves more clout in general. Secondly, “Do you need someone, do you need a new me? 'Cause I've got two or three and they'll only be here until my clean slated state” is hhrrnrnng hes a DIFFERENT PERSON YOUR HONOR. Also the quilt line kills me every time

Everything Stays – everything is so similar to what he remembers, but at the same time everything is so different. everyONE is so different, changed by the trauma they’ve gone through which ghostbur just.
