COMMENTS: happy holidays everyone!! i hope this makes at least one person feel loved by their fav <3 just know that this isnt a decisive list and that no matter your insecurity your favorite suitor would adore you to bits.

you might think that they're silly for adoring your stomach so much, worshiping any extra fat or polished muscle you possess. they revel in your softness, burying their face into your midsection whenever they get the chance, kissing the skin there when they wake up and resting a hand over your belly button when you two go to sleep. if you’re ticklish there, watch out, because they take great joy in poking and prodding you just to hear you giggle.

they don't understand what’s so embarrassing about your body hair. to them, it adds a sort of human softness to your legs as they run their hands down your calves, feeling the slight prickle of where each strand begins and ends. they think it’s beautiful, smiling so softly as they cup your knee, rubbing their thumbs across your skin. they do the same to your arms, cherishing every inch of your body, just to remind you that even if you don’t like your body hair, they do because it's you.

your nose is often where their kisses land, sprinkling the bridge of it with their love and affection. they caress your face so tenderly as they bump their nose against yours, and you can feel the smile on their lips when they lean in to kiss you again. no matter what shape or what size, they will never stop thinking that your nose suits you just perfectly.

they think your acne and your scars are beautiful, even if you hate the way they look on your body. they insist it could never take away from your beauty, that you will always and forever be radiant, even with the red marks and the dull, faded scars. they’ll help you take care of them so you aren’t hurt, but they will never let you believe that you’re ugly. that word should not be associated with you, not when you have constellations speckled across your face and scars that are on their precious love and their precious love alone.

Hello, I'm selling off my paintings. I've got a ton that I need to get rid of, but these rose to the top as art I felt could probably be hung on a wall if you wanted.

Why are you getting rid of them?: I don't like to keep more than one drawer full of work, I typically have a nice little bonfire once in awhile. These are really nice though and I'd like to give people a chance to pick these up.

Why aren't you just mailing them for shipping only?: I did put a bit of work into them and though they're destined to leave my hands one way or another, it comes down to the fact that I am disabled, don't have a job, and would like to afford to buy something nice for myself or my girlfriend or family.

Prices are based off material costs and time spent. Photos here are to provide context for the candid color of the art. I often do a little color correct/contrast when scanning before I post; posts will be linked on the entry to provide further context on details.

Shipping is not included in the prices. Within the United States shipping is $10, and international is $35 with the shipping restrictions to specific countries found here.

Painting sizes are 12inches x 9inches. Materials are ink, watercolor, and a little acrylic.

Have you seen that clip of great British actors on the same stage reciting “to be or not to be, that is the question,” while emphasising different words and giving completely different meaning to the line?

That’s what I feel about dan’s “Trying to Live My Truth.” Let me explain…

When the video was out, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Of course it was. We missed dan. It was his first video in 3 months. We were so proud though clearly we didn’t know what that truth was. He alluded to things, quite explicitly at times, but never really spelled it out.

At the time I thought,

“okay. It doesn’t matter. It takes guts already to admit to yourself this much. And he doesn’t owe his truth to anyone, least of all us. He’s TRYING at least, and he’s openly admitting it in a really good and inspiring video too. It’s great he’s on the right path.”

Then June 2019 came and we finally knew the TRUTH he was alluding to in the video. TTLMT is now full of comments made in 2019 saying how it hit different. It did and we’re beyond proud. But I couldn’t help wondering often what was on his mind at that point in time.

Then! In 2022 we finally got an answer for that. Dan wasn’t doing well at all in 2018. II tour almost didn’t happen as he didn’t think he could’ve gone through with it without coming out first.

He felt he wasn’t living HIS truth. He would spend the whole year pondering this.

Thinking about this today while watching old DanAndPhilGames videos (as you do) it suddenly hit me like a brick in the face that TTLMT was published 2 days after “Can Dan and Phil Survive Fortnite?!” You know, the one where these happened:

"We can make a life together up there."

"I will find you in any world phil"

Maybe the emphasis was on the word in TTLMT that I didn’t think was significant in that way after all.

Dan was trying to LIVE his truth. He wasn’t trying to announce it. He was actively, decidedly /living/ it in front of us.

Many called 2018 their “glass closet” era and that’s just it. I just feel blessed to have been there to witness everything I just talked about here as it happened.

And yeah, that’s how I ended up comparing dan howell to shakespeare on twitter. (Yeah I posted this to twitter first lol) Didn’t see that coming, did ya?

fun fact: most of the information we know about classic pirates (blackbeard, anne bonny, mary read, calico jack) is from one book. and it’s more hilarious the more you know.

A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the Most Notorious Pyrates (or A General History of Pyrates) by Captain Charles Johnson

firstly: captain charles johnson is not a person nor a captain. it’s a pen name. and we have no clue who he actually was. he probably chose “captain” to give himself a sense of credibility he did not have. (could possibly have been daniel defoe or nathaniel mist and you can actually find modern copies printed under both their names)

secondly: he made a lot of it up. he gathered whatever information was available and just made up the rest and anything he thought would make it cooler. that’s not even to mention the second volume where he made up several entire people. this dude was just making stuff up and it’s now the earliest history we have of these people and we’ve accepted it as fact.

thirdly: it was initially published in 1724. (golden age of piracy was 1650s-1830s, dude was writing about the present) several of the pirates he writes about were still alive. and the rest were very recently dead. (henry every is an outlier) he was literally making up facts about people who were very much alive likely while he was writing it.

so this mysterious random dude made up stories about pirates who were still running around killing people and it’s now accepted as pirate cannon. amazing
