#how incorrectly they introduce themself is up to you
Text
We need a Total Drama character who was last to arrive on the island so they didn't know anyone's names. They talk to one person alone, and the other camper accidentally introduces themself with the wrong name and doesn't correct themself out of embarrassment. First camper doesn't realize the mistake and proceeds to call them that, and all the other campers who lack context think they either hate the other camper and refuse to use their name, or that they're a couple and that's why they're calling them a 'pet name'

How would the ROs in relationship react if MC accidentally introduces them as their husband/wife/spouse to someone without actually realizing?
Vethna: Just gets the absolute smuggest, most sly grin on their face and stands all proudly like yeah, you know what? I am MC's spouse <3. Probably wraps their arm around MC's and is all doting just because.
They'd bring it up later all coy and be like... "so... remember what you said earlier...?" (Vethna proposing core?)
Nikke: Doesn't realize what MC said until a second later. And then he'd just kinda furrow his brows and go wait a minute... and then wonder if MC actually called him their husband or not. The entire conversation would just be Nikke standing comedically in the background making faces, gaslighting himself into thinking he heard incorrectly. He'd randomly snap back to when someone talks to him directly just to immediately go back to his dramatic ruminating.
Probably overthinks it all day, to be honest. It'd awaken questions in him he never thought about before.
Jost: Would just slowly turn to look at MC, arms crossed, and glare at them like what the fuck did you just say? And if MC is clueless she'd just look all offended like how the hell do you not know? Just generally grumpy, but that's just Jost tbh <3
She'd drop it, though, and no, do not bring it up again.
Amilia: Makes a lil 'o' face and out of her surprise and excitement ends up thwacking MC on the arm without realizing it. Just stares at MC all !!! which would probably make MC realize what they just said...
She'd be very happy about it, though, and it'd likely end up with excited babbling about their relationship while the other person is just forced to stand there, awkwardly.
Sabir: Would have pretty much the same reaction as Vethna, except he'd take it the extra mile of putting his arm around MC and loudly referring to MC as his spouse throughout the conversation just to embarrass them.
"Why, my spouse here was just saying they would love to take a trip to the mountains, isn't that so, my love?"
Just absolutely rubs it into everyone's faces-- probably with a pompous accent just to really bring it home.
Syfyn: Literally dies on the spot. Murdered. Gone. RIP.
On a serious note... it's pretty much just that. She'd go completely still as stone and probably have the same internal monologue as Nikke: what did they just say? Wife? What? Hah-- no way. No... right?
Like, it would reach the point both MC and the other person are like ??? are you okay???
She'd definitely bring it up later and be like "hey, so... uh... what did you mean by that?" (Syfyn's having the "what are we?" conversation in a two year long relationship <3)
Freedom: Just completely goes with it, isn't really fazed much. They'd probably just smile and drape themself over MC as MC says it, looking all content and coy, and never bring attention to it again!

I'm having mild A Few Days (Or So) Later Anxiety™ and wanted to add a disclaimer to my comment on the post where you talked about MTMtE/LL being regarded as fanfiction about how I defo think its done to de-legitimize official works (purposefully or not), but that I defo don't think fanfiction isn't a legitimate form of art/writing also? I dunno, I probably have nothing to worry about, but anxiety is Like That sometimes haha. (that said though, your thoughts that you mentioned would be interesting to see I think!)
Haha, well, I'm the one who made the post, so nothing to worry about there, I promise! I don't think you came across as dismissive of fic at all. As you say, talking about how that's why people use that 'accusation' doesn't necessarily mean you agree with the underlying logic.
As for my thoughts…
One thing that frustrates me whenever I try and discuss this is actually something you hit on the head here I think inadvertently- people who write fanfiction (like myself!) often tend to respond with a kneejerk reaction whenever someone says [xyz] isn't fanfic, because we assume, often incorrectly, they must mean 'it's Too Good to be fanfiction'. But that's not the case! Fanfic is as unique as any form of creative work, and saying something like MTMTE isn't fanfic is no more an insult to fanfic than, say, pointing out the Mona Lisa isn't a watercolour painting is an insult to watercolour artists. It's just an observation around what a work is or is not.
I get it- fanfic is often very specifically looked down on just for being fanfic, and we tend to get defensive over things we care about. I've been writing fanfic since I was eight, so over two decades now; it's a huge part of my life and one I don't like people to be unfairly dismissive of. But one of the things which I love about fanfic is that it does certain specific things that other mediums don't or often even can't, and I think describing every bit of remotely transformative work as 'fanfic' really robs us of that nuance.
MTMTE is not 'officially published fanfic' because it is subject to certain editorial requests and constraints that fanfic just… isn't. And this fact massively impacts how it unfolds as a work. The fact CDRW only gradually reveal themselves as a romantic couple is a very blatant example of this. Roberts had to ask IDW's permission to have gay characters. Who in turn had to ask Hasbro's permission. The result is a very gradual amping up of the subtext, and that means the serialized storytelling functions differently than if MTMTE was just his fanwork or whatever. The annotated scripts and notebooks he's given us make all of this very clear- there are numerous points where he's like, 'and then Barber asked me to cut this', etc. In turn, MTMTE received editorial scrutiny and support no fic is likely to, even with the most dedicated beta reader, and is in conversation with other writers' ideas in ways that it can use to its advantage. It is a different comic than a fancomic might be in ways that relate to it being published, and what the process of publishing a comic looks like.
But even beyond that, there are things like what I brought up in that post about 'original characters', for example. In fanfic, the understanding is that OCs are an indulgence in most cases on the part of the author. This isn't always true- but often it is! And that's a good thing, because fanfic is something people should enjoy and be self-indulgent with. But like. In a work like MTMTE, characters like Rung are not introduced purely because the author wants to make a mark on a pre-existing canon or insert themself into the story. They are usually introduced because they are needed narratively speaking. Rung is required for the narrative that Roberts has planned from the very beginning, and he cannot be a pre-existing character within that framework without it fundamentally changing the way the story reads. Similar to, say, characters like Tarn. So when people talk about these characters like they're OCs he somehow snuck into Real Transformers Canon TM, we lose a lot of interesting discussion about what those characters do as pieces of the story, because the assumption becomes 'they are there because Roberts wanted to make his OCs canon'.
And finally, we have this odd feeling that somehow MTMTE isn't 'real' Transformers canon because even its fans treat it like fanfiction turned official and see just the 'fanfic' part of that idea, not the 'official' bit. So suddenly, the only way any of it can be implicitly legitimized is by having stuff show up elsewhere. Like hey, Tarn showing up in Cyberverse was GREAT, but Tarn was a 'real Transformers character' before that. Y'know? Again, fanfic NOT being 'real canon' is literally a part of what makes it great- fanfic, far from being lessened by its non-canonicity, is enriched by the way that changes how it reads to its audience contextually and what it can do. But trying to read MTMTE through that lens makes no sense, and tbh, it feels very much like people are being almost… defensive about liking it in a way I find unnecessary and self-defeating.
And it is reeeeeal telling to me that exRiD does not get this treatment. Aileron is not 'Barber's OC', people do not hedge their bets on its appeal to the broader TF fanbase. You know? Some combination of knowing Roberts used to write fanfic and its content being seen as somehow 'fanfic like' (read: character driven and heavily interested in romance and interpersonal relationships) drives us more towards that view for MTMTE as a fandom.
And just to finish off: I've read a lot more of Roberts' fic than a lot of people in this fandom, I suspect. I can tell you right now, his fanfic and his MTMTE work honestly… don't overlap that much. There are things you can point to, but MTMTE is a completely different ballgame in almost every way. I know it's beating a dead horse and this point to say, but one would not necessarily recommend Eugenesis, for example, to a MTMTE fan. To put it lightly.

Cristal witches, aka Sasha making headcanons for the world of Eldarya
I have this idea since forever at this point, so I figured it wouldn't hurt a fly to talk about it a little. It comes from years before when I wanted my OC to not be human but some kind of magic creature, so here we go.
English is not my first languange, so I am apologizing in advance.
Note: Throughout the post, the timespan is after the Blue Sacrifice, but I will talk about that too later on.
Who are cristal witches?
Cristal witches are witches who hold power connected to maana.
The bigger maana surronds them, the bigger their powers get
The reason they are called cristal witches is because they can form a connection with the Crystal
They are creatures with big potencial to play big roles in Eldarya, but that is exactly the point where things go wrong
Tumblr media
More about witches
Most cristal witches are women, it's really rare when a male is born and inherits magical power, but there are cases when it happens
There were never any worry about them dying out, since the genes are VERY strong
When a male and female cristal witch have a child who is also one, they turn out way stronger then the others who only have one parent being one
Don't get me wrong, one parent makes the kid already strong as it is, but two parents are just a whole new level
Cristal witches all have tattoos, all in different colors. Most of the time the colors don't have anything to do with the powers they can hold, but lighter colors indicate lighter powers, meaning: lighter colors can't use magic that requires bigger maana usage, like black magic, or healing magic
(If you play the game, you sure know the voodoo outfit, I based the tattoos on those tattoos, so you can see the colors if you google it)
Since cristal witches are a heavily mixed community thanks to the overload of women, there are times where kids inherit both of their parents specific genetics
It's rare tho, because of the witch genes mixing up with other races' is not that common
But when it happens, it always gains attention
Cristal witches are not just cristal witches because they are connected to the Crystal, but because they literally have crystals all over their body
These crystals are mostly small ones and has the color of the tattoos
They are really human-like, so if they can hide their tattos and crystals they can perfectly blend in, which did come handy at some point
Their lifespan is about 150-200 years
They are able to open the portal to the human world
(here you can see the children of my OC [Chrystal] and Ezarel, who were lucky enough to inherit both of their parents genes, so they are witches with elf ears.)
Tumblr media
How did they live?
Back then cristal witches lived in small communities, mostly small villages, but there where some communities living a full nomad life
Since they live so long, there were not many of them to begin with
These smaller communities lived close to each other way back then, but the nomad communities started to move around after a while
These are highly spiritual communities, especially that they are fully able to communicate with the Oracle if they wish so
They had special type of education, where witches were learning to use basic magic, while non-witches who lived with them learned alchemy
They had strict rules, that everybody needed to follow, they weren't allowed to use their power randomly
They needed to get an approval to use magic that requires more manna than your basic magic, and also to use dangerous or risky magic
If somebody went against this rule more than 5 times, they got their magic taken away
They choose new leader every year, although if a leader was good, they sticked with them and kept on picking them
The leader was not leading alone, although they made the final decisions
There were many smaller position available next to the leader, which are also chosen by the other witches
Overally they are really pieceful, so the conflicts are not that common
Cristal witches are able to do many things with magic, but it takes a lifetime to gain a really controlled power, so older, well-educated witches are highly respected and the leader was chosen from them most of the times
Some really strong witches are even able to bring back people from the death, but only if they're right there when the death happens
The Blue Sacrifice
The reason that Cristal witches were never part of the council that planned out the Sacrifice was that the races forming the council agreed that Eldarya could need them in the future (and they were damned right)
Before the Sacrifice taken place, witches were not that strong than after it happend
I imagine it the way, that once the sacrifice was made, Eldarya alone had more maana than when the two worlds were one and since witches' powers are mostly maana based, it made their powers grow way stronger than before
(I hope this makes sense lol)
Where things went wrong
As I mentioned before, they are creatures with big potential
When the Blue Sacrifice went wrong, the races in Eldarya needed the witches help the most
Almost every community, town, villige, whatever had at least one witch living with them to help out whenever there were high need
The problem is, that there was always high need; as we know Eldarya was in trouble
With the help of the witches it was easier to go for supplies to the human world, although only those communities could do this who had stronger, more experienced witches
There were even witches who were able to cast spells and make the field able to grow some edible plants
And this is exactly where things went terribly wrong
Since cristal witches have a high value, there were many who hunted them or tortured them for their powers
Why? Well, I know all the above reasons would be enough, but there are more to it
Cristal witches' blood is able to make the lifespan of whoever drinks it longer
And not just that, but it can completely function as food, it stops hunger for longer periods of time (weeks, sometimes months, depending on power) and makes the immune system 100% healthy
It was also used for really expensive medication
You know what else is really valuable? The tears of witches.
It can fasten healing and was used for many medication as well as their blood
But only tears that hold heavy emotions count, since the tear drops turn into little crystals
These informations spread real fast after a while and witch hunts became so serious that at one point several communities started to think that it would be better to sacrifice them as well so maybe Eldarya could gain its full balance [the Guard of El also wanted this, just in case you were curious]
Witches would've 100% sacrificed themselfs if they got asked by the time the Blue Sacrfice happend
But after all the terror they went through, their trust was completely broken
They did not want to die for all these selfish folks wanting to murder them, not thinking about their race for a single second
So one day they completely vanished
Nobody knows how exactly, the common guess was that they opened the portal and moved to the human world, giving up on their magic
I mean everything was better than dying for your murderers
After the vanish
Of course, not all of the witches vanished, but the witch communities that lived together
Those who lived in certain places helping out stayed there
Back then the Guard of El had a witch with them too
Sadly, they got scared of her possibly gaining control over the guard, since she was very much loved... So they decided to kill her [yes, they wanted to sacrifice her, and then killed her, way to go]
The last known cristal witch was a male, living with the Fenghuangs, but he died just before The Origins' story starts
But... Are they really all gone?
Okaaaay soooo I bet there are stuff in this which doesn't exactly fit the story and/or I remember incorrectly, but it is what it is.
On the very first art you can see my OC named Chrystal. Well, she arrives to Eldarya the same way Erika did in the original story, the main difference is that she turnes out to be a cristal witch and this fact leaves the guard in a numb shock. Suddenly the only living cristal witch is with them and that is changing their situation entirely.
I am sure I will write down Chrystals story with illustratons and whatnot, but currently I am working on my Moonligh Lovers' OC's illus, so that will take some time.
Anyway, this will have another part, I wanna at least introduce Chrystal so you can see a cristal witch in action, hurray.
Ah, yeah, if there are facts from the game messed up, feel free to tell me, I am not biting. You can also use this idea for your ocs, I don't mind. Hugs<3

@astralglam filed a report .
mint: does your muse view themself as virtuous & moral? what do these words mean to them?
OHOHO. hey hi ily. this is, of course, one of odo’s deepest ongoing battles, and the moment he stops questioning it is the moment he becomes a founder.
the founders grant themselves god status.  GOD!  status. they just reach out and pluck it. Within their range of power, the founders become unquestionably Just and Virtuous and Moral, their Word becomes Law, it becomes “the way things are” and “fact” and they create their own reality stemming from thousands of years of intense xenophobia. they’re above it all. gods don’t make mistakes, right? sure, maybe changelings were hunted and feared ages ago but they still fear it, and that drive for Order and Control over the galaxy is now encoded into their genes and they place a companion structure into the genes of every other species they control, subjugating them to the founders’ own cozy position as Gods, or-- ‘gods’. the founder (i rly don’t like saying “female” founder so she’s THE Founder. she speaks for the link.) makes it quite clear on many occasions that the founders are not here to negotiate. they fully intend to control EVERYTHING at any cost. it is absolutely  chilling  when she cuts garak down with: “they’re dead. you’re dead. cardassia is dead.” and draws the line between the dominion and everyone else miles deep into the sand.
that same genetic coding is one of the first semi-concrete things odo comes to understand about himself and, horribly, he’s landed into conditions under the occupation that very easily could have taken advantage of a less meticulous or stubborn changeling. no, odo says initially (and incorrectly), i am not bajoran** and i am not cardassian and i stand apart from either side of this conflict and so i am bound to PURE Virtue and Morality because of it. he can’t be bribed or bought or won over, and he won’t allow for anything less than a kind of incorruptibility. this effectively wins him allies (and enemies) on both sides, however -- that’s just not how the universe works. the truth of it is that no matter how much he tells himself he is not a part of their regime, his working with the cardassians makes him a collaborator in that he has then recognized their authority and ultimately upheld their legitimacy, even if he never agreed with the cause, even if he was also on some level a casualty of it. at some point when he moves past ‘contract’ investigation and begins to work permanently, he falls into the trap of thinking Order is the same thing as Justice... huge yikes. in that moment he becomes a true and apathetic villain, but he’s subsequently haunted by the resulting execution of innocents. it shakes something up in him. years pass and he still wonders, what other mistakes has he made? what other less direct consequences of his ‘neutral’ arbitration exist? he (and everyone around him) has to live without really knowing, and it’s a constant reminder to him of the power he holds and it informs his understanding of what Real (and imperfect) Justice Means.
**sidenote but later in s7 he introduces himself as ‘from bajor’ and AAAAAA. its good. very good. yeah, you’re bajoran, odo. he gets it now.
Mirror odo is really the ultimate example of an odo having taken those instincts to extremes in an environment that rewarded him for them -- there is no guilt there, and even a sadistic kind of pleasure in it. i’d argue that gaia!odo is another, less extreme example of an odo who’s been alone too long and lost sight of things when he single-mindedly (and against kira’s wishes) chooses her (one person) over 8000. like holy shit? NOT ok? uhhuhhhhfff. anyway. very fortunately, neither of these are OUR odo, but act as great foils to reflect on the worst (bastard cop) qualities or potential qualities of our goo pushed to highly visible extremes, which star trek just loves to do all the time.
but regular/prime odo isnt exactly a rule-follower, either. throughout his life, he frequently takes things into his own hands, uses his abilities to his advantage, spies, wiretaps, eavesdrops, and yes, harasses [quark] sometimes -- he develops his own set of values and personal rules and follows them; even starfleet comes in wary of him and how he operates and hes on thin ice. but because of possibly his most redeeming quality, odo is able to adapt those self-ordained values toward something increasingly honest: for how rigid he can be in personality, he is HIGHLY influenced by the world around him,  listens hard  to what his friends and allies have to say and adapts that feedback; this allows him to evolve and grow and take important matters to heart. he becomes more flexible and better able to hold onto what’s really most important after locking into a decision, because above all else, he is passionately committed to doing the Right Thing. he PLEADS with himself in things past, “your job is to find the truth, not obtain convictions.” by his tendency to push back against what is laid down as ‘law’ (something he becomes more and more aware of and effective at doing) as not always being good or right, or necessarily even creating Order (the thing he’s driven genetically to want), he prepares himself to challenge the most deadly voice of authority -- that of his own people.
so... yes and no. odo’s role and persona as ‘your average security chief’ might dictate that he be virtuous and moral, but he so obviously can’t fit the same exact mold as others in his position -- he has these insane abilities and this mind-consuming nature and it requires he tread with extra care, but he also has a potential for more adaptive, more nuanced morality. he has to build up his own definitions to the words, constantly examine and tease and test them, or else he risks straying too far from what he really wants to achieve -- harmony, honest justice. he has to accept that he’s a part of the system he operates in (not, in fact, alone or isolated! something he actually wants), and know that he is not exempt from making the wrong choice, just like anybody else.
carnation: what is your muse’s relationship with their gender? how do they express or not express this relationship?
ODO AND GENDER!!! i love odo and gender. let’s take this one step at a time. he starts out as an amorphous glob -- he has no gender. there’s no basis for assignment, no culture of difference, and all the goos are goo. odo takes on the shape of the first living thing he sees / the thing he sees most frequently: dr mora. he adopts an image of masculinity from mora and he adopts the hair. that’s about it, and it’s pretty much arbitrary. (maybe the hair is simple enough for his skills, too?) the next people odo meets are also these very masculine, military, cardassian leaders, so again -- this is all he knows! this is neutrality. i imagine it takes him some time to work out what the differences in gender are, and sex, and orientation, romantic vs sexual stuff, all of that. it’s all got cultural baggage he knows nothing about and does not experience, and he’s also dealing with multiple, clashing cultures to boot. since he doesnt have any strong inherent leaning, he simply opts out. he/him becomes his default because thats where he started, thats what he’s been able to successfully present and how people know him, and, terrifyingly, under cardassian rule, it probably offered a bit of safety, too, which was obviously something he needed at the time.
way way way way way down the line in season seven, odo asks kira to (paraphrasing) look at me. what do you see? [i see you.] but this is NOT me, this is only a shape ive assumed in order to fit in. she says, yes, i know that. but this is who you have chosen to be. “a man. a good and honest man.” (i knowww shes not really talking abt gender here BUT) its hard as a trans person not to read the metaphor. he’s chosen to express SOMETHING. he’s chosen something other than what he was given (neutrality) and although he doesnt personally buy into what ‘masculinity’ “should be” (ie the ferengi, smh) / would certainly not argue he doesnt feel non-binary, this is how he has presented all his life, its how hes been treated, and it is what he has chosen to adhere to. there’s a choice in that, kira’s right, and now it reflects something about him.
parallel this, i’ll mention the “female” founder again bc of course there is no discernable reason for her to have a gender -- other than to appeal (im not talking sexually here although there’s,, obviously weird shit happening with the link... yike) to odo in the sense that until that point odo has lived with “gendered” individuals and, i think importantly, kira is with them when they first meet. i think its safe to say the founder saw her, figured she was a friend/ally to odo or at least familiar to him, and took her general representation to appeal as a friend/ally.
otherwise... why, honestly? the founder’s got NO love of humanoids lmao why would she bother.
anyway i’d like to see odo experiment a bit. because when hes safe, he can!! aside from his own doubts and insecurities about shapeshifting, at some point he really has no reason not to, at least a little bit. really, it should just be another thing to practice, much like becoming a convincing rock or a leaf, its just that there are other significances in the cultures around him. i’d just like to see him loosen up a little. have fun. grow ur hair out a bit, odo, why are u still looking like ur terrible dad.

Hey there, I was wondering if you could expand on stuttering in relation to audio processing disorder? Also, goddamn you are clear and concise!
Hey!
Let me start by saying I am not a licensed speech therapist. My education comes from raising four kids with severe speech and language problems and having had training to help them. It’s been about three years since I sat through my last session of speech therapy as a kid and, as with all sciences, there are probably advancements that have happened in that time. So let’s unpack Audio Processing Disorder and Stuttering…
1) APD and Stuttering are co-morbid syndromes… this means they often occur together but the APD doesn’t cause stuttering and stuttering doesn’t cause APD. University of Florida has a good write-up on this.
2) People who have difficulty with audio processing have trouble a- locating where sounds come from, b- discriminating between sounds (filtering out background noises), c- recognizing auditory patterns (dee dee dee da …. now you repeat it back to me), and d- integrating sounds…. this becomes a problem because this can introduce hesitation into speech patterns as the person listens to themself and second guesses what they are saying. University of Wisconsin did a study on this and found that study found that children with stutters often have difficulty with audio processing.
This makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
How do you acquire language skills? By listening to people speaking.
If you can’t hear them correctly you’re likely to speak incorrectly as well. Over time the inaccuracies (as perceived by the listening audience) can introduce hesitation into speech patterns. It’s very common for children in speech therapy so pause slightly to watch the teacher/adult in the room to see if the answer they are giving is correct. The student is relying on body language.
Picture a child shown a picture of a bug. The speech therapist says, “Buuuggg,” emphasizing the U and G sounds that the child is working on. With APD it is common for the first sound to get lost, but the student knows the word is not UG. So they put their lips together and look at the speech therapist.
“B…” The child hesitates, waiting for a nod or other body language.
The therapist nods.
“Buooog?”
A stutter has been introduced to the speech pattern because what the body remembers saying isn’t BUG but B-BUG.
Slightly more common (in my experience) is Verbal Mazing. Verbal Mazing is when the person tries to speak but the sentence or word isn’t fully formed in their head and they have difficulty saying what they want (this is known as Speech Apraxia).
An example of Verbal Mazing in a teenager might look like, “So what…” Pause. Shake head. “So I’m.” Another shake. “So this means…”
It sounds a lot like a stutter (repetition of the word SO) and the problem is that the person with APD is trying to form a sentence that can be understood. They keep trying to pick the word they think belongs there.
If you hang out with people fluent in multiple languages you might have heard this mazing before. It’s very common among people who are learning a new language. As they speak they pause to remember if they’re using the right word. It’s the same thing for APD.
Someone with APD effectively speaks a different language. Everything they hear is processed into sounds the speaker is not using. It’s been described as garbled, like listening to sound through water, or like listening to a language they almost know. When someone with APD is speaking they are translating from their private language to the language they are being required to speak in. NOTE: this is why sign language is such a wonderful thing for someone with APD to learn (even though some speech therapists argue you shouldn’t allow a child with APD to rely on sign language) - sign language allows someone with APD to communicate without having to translate every thing.
SUMMARY- APD and Stuttering are co-morbid- Stuttering can be a learned behavior in people with APD- Classic sound repetition stuttering and Verbal Mazing are common when someone has APD- Being unable to organize your thoughts into verbal communication can be Speech Apraxia (which can have multiple causes)- APD can not be cured but someone with APD can learn to work around it- Speech therapy can help someone who stutters speak with fewer stutters and problems- Having APD is a lot like having your own private language- Sign language is (IMO) a good thing for someone with APD and their friends/families to know

Same anon from yesterday: yeah those were all me, I suck with messages xD. Don't worry about replying. Take all the time you need to reply. Yeah I think that Maggie lied about her parents/coming out. Based on flo's acting (body language and facial expressions), Maggie seems to have a angsty background, they'll have to show it so both can grow/learn from it. I trust flo and chy far more because they actually care (also love how both just ignored last ep). 1/?
Also Maggie’s fighting against Cadmus storyline happend after she became friends with superman. They can start to use that on the show, now that she knows supergirl and get properly introduced to the superfriends in 12 (cadmus will reappear in 12 as well).  Basically once she has more social connections apart from Alex, they can flash out her character more. I stay optimistic because a lot of stuff came from chy/flo themselfs (such as upcoming Maggie stuff, 13 being flo’s favorite ep so far) 2/2
Duuuuuue, I totally got caught up on surfing Amazon (the heating fan in the car I drive sucks and hasn’t been turning on and I live in Maine…so specifically I need a heat cushion that plugs into the cigarette charger but I need to get other things for free shipping), then finding out about the Star Wars Holiday Special (like, WHAT???), and off to finding a birthday staycation hotel. Watched a smidge of the SW thing after checking legitimacy, booked a hotel temporarily, and still holding off on Amazon cart to reply to you. So yeah…. xD
Ahh I see. Thanks for the clarification. I’m going to call you Sanvers Comic Anon for the time being, but if you’d rather a different name, let me know and I’ll figure something different out.
I totally get the not messaging thing. Even with some of my mutuals or friends I still inbox them anonymously, so don’t worry about it there. I like talking personally so feel free to message me all you want.
I headcanon Maggie from what she understood of Alex talking about her family knew that they would be more supportive than her own parents had been so she pushed her, or rather, gave her the strength to come out to her family and her instincts were right that Kara and Eliza took it well! But in reality I think Maggie was fibbing and that things personally had gone down a little harsher. It would make for good story telling in what often happens with coming out to one’s parents in real life and the juxtaposition with Alex’s coming out and Maggie’s…excellent and interesting!
I also adore that they ignored the last episode. I mean, what would they have to contribute? As a pair, Sanver only appeared for TWO MINUTES last episode….Lucky Flo being paid series regular but bullshit on balancing actor/character screentime. By the way, do you know if Flo minds the nickname? I know Scarlett Johansson hates ScarJo so despite my urge to shorten it I try to avoid using it (even unlikely as it is she follows my blog. xD).
Ohhhhh, you’re a comic fan too. Or like me who did a bunch of research into the character when introduced on the show. XD I like entwining comic things with (mostly fic) the show but I know (and sometimes like) when they deviate and make their own story too, but throwing in tidbits frm the originals is nice now and then, much like how SuperShow alums keep appearing on the show.
HELL YES, TERI HATCHER IS COMING ON BOARD!!!!!!!!!
Sorry. Desperate Housewives was my first ‘adult show’ growing up and though I got behind one season, it was my jam and the only thing I followed religiously. I got super excited when I learned Brenda Strong was the Cadmus Lady in the first couple episodes. I was like “wait, she’s in Supergirl?” then watching the scene again, I got stoked! So though it’s unlikely the other Housewives are joining Brenda and Teri, I’m low-key waiting for them to barge in…
Seeing Maggie outside of Alex in GENERAL will be nice, even if it starts or circles around the SuperFriends. It gives her more depth and interest. I could see her teasing Winn like she does Alex about his geekiness. Just wait until she hears him technobabbling around her. She scoffs ‘nerd!’ then scratched her nose while looking away innocently. And now Winn will have two annoying sisters. XD
Episode 13, fabulous. Can’t wait to see Floriana’s fave episode! And yes, agreed on trusting the actors more than the marketing folks. Speaking of which, my ire was sated when I learned they seemed to market/write articles incorrectly. We (or maybe just a few of us, I know I was one) learned that the V-Day episode was Sanvers ‘center stage’, then like a day later learned the episode airing on Feb. 13th was titled “Luthors” and gives us Lena’s backstory, thus combining Sanvers V-Day and Lena’s backstory, BUT NOW we learned that they miscalculated their episodes and V-Day will air on the 20th, right after my BIRTHDAY!!!!!! So I’m happy.
Sorry for the word vomit. Especially to those who follow me and don’t care about this long ass text post.
Feel free to keep messaging me, Sanvers Comic Anon.
