A random idea and some thoughts on episode 46 (under the cut)

I was thinking that, whenever I’ll be done with my current projects, I would like to write a short comic about the main Kyuuranger cast some years after the defeat of Don Armage, something along the lines of “15/20 years have passed - where are they now & what they are up to”. Of course, in light of the things that happened in episode 46 there are at least a couple of character whose status is, well, not yet defined, although I’m sure we will get our answers soon.

(speaking of which, I’ll put under a “read more” some of my thought about the latest episode, just to be sure to unintentionally spoil anyone)

Ok, generally speaking, I believe that the whole cast (that is, all 12 rangers) will survive the fight, especially since Tsurugi’s immortality power seem to have been restored and it seems like Shou has been absorbed inside Don Armage, rather than just being killed off. Also, I’m expecting the Supreme Kyutama to, well, behave as it is expected from the recipient of the Miracle Star powers, thus defying all the rules and performing miracles like resurrecting people and avoid potential universe annihilation, thus helping out Lucky and co. to get their deserved happy handing.

Moreover, although I’m a sucker for pyrrhic victory & bittersweet endings (*coughsailormoonfirstseasonfinalecoughalsobasically3/4ofsaintseiyacough*) I feel like killing of one of the main characters, given how the season and the plot were set up would feel rather... unnecessary? Or at least would be really out of the blue, given that the only character whose development pointed toward this was Tsurugi in the last episodes? And even then, on a narrative standpoint, it wouldn’t really have made any sense for possessed!Tsurugi to state that he regained his immortality if that will not be used as a way to ensure that he will survive Armage’s possession?

Another possibility, in this regard, is that things will play out like during the first battle against Don Armage, and that the Phoenix power will be used, again, to defeat him, at the price (this time for real) of Houhou Soldier's life. In this case,I see a final resurrection via the Supreme Kyutama appropriate not only because it would be an occasion for Lucky to return the favor to Tsurugi, but it would also symbolize how, in this iteration of the battle, it was the combined power of the 12saviours what really overcame the legends and granted to the universe a new life.

Raptor and Garu both need attention ASAP. Heck even one episode of decent serious screentime is enough. I just wanna see my pink robot daughter and blue wolf son get some attention to their problems and being badasses (and maybe let's get off of Earth now that HouHou is alive)

Totally Agree.

Especially with Raptor, as Garu was somehow featured in the Hikari Kyutama debut episode (I loved his interaction w/ Balance on that one, btw)(tough 14 also happened, so yeah. Poor Garu). So far Raptor wasn’t really featured as a main character in any episode, save for, well, her debut as a Ranger which was almost 20 episodes ago so yeah, the situation is not really great. I actually have some (minor) hopes for next episode! - Tough I am pretty sure that she and Spada will be put in a secondary role to showcase the incompetent fire chicken™, so yeah, just give the poor girl a couple of episode on the spotlight and we’ll all be happy. -
