TBH. Ive been doing cosplay for almost a decade now and yeah there has often been some crafts involved but truly don't let anyone make you think this is a crafts hobby. the amount of people who sew, sculpt, or build their cosplays is. not the real big number of coslpayers and you do not for a moment have to attempt to get on the level of any polished- proffesionakl or otheriwse- thing you saw on social media. go thrifting, buy and slice halloween costumes and things you have in your wardrobe, and maybe choose one thing you know how to make or pick up liyyle skills along the way- but the joy of cosplay is in Interaction NOT art and storebought rocks.

Jander’s Expanded Guide to Vampires: the Kender Vampire
Tumblr media
Hunter’s Rating: 🦇 🦇
By unpopular request, the Kender Vampire has jumped the line! Gods, but these are pitiful things.
Most hunters within the Mists will go their entire lives without ever meeting a kender, much less the undead creations born of their suffering. Kender are native to the world of Krynn, resembling halflings and gnomes in stature and general temperament, and seemed to do quite well avoiding the kind of bad decisions that land most of us in the Domains of Dread - at least until our dear friend Lord Soth got ideas in his bucket-clad head. Not content with the standard suite of zombies and skeletons, and unwilling to use the elves native to Sithicus as minions, Soth abducted a number of kender from his homeland and set about killing them in creative and horrible ways.
The result of this awful experimentation is the Kender Vampire. A fully artificial undead, Kender Vampires lack any ability to pass on their curse - a small mercy, in my opinion. Their numbers are limited to only those that Lord Soth created, not more than thirty in all. The connection between these creatures and their maker is a deep and unnatural one; no Kender Vampire is capable of acting counter to Soth’s orders or interests, and they tend to act as lieutenants commanding units of lesser undead. In addition, they seem to have inherited their master’s tie to the land, as crossing the border out of Sithicus is instant destruction for a Kender Vampire
Perhaps as a side effect of their artificial nature, Kender Vampires are... let’s say lacking in certain aspects. Oh they are formidable, and possess a reasonable number of resistances for an undead creature - save yourselves the trouble and leave the poisons and nonmagical weapons at home - but if you can overcome their unusually speedy regeneration, you might find yourself able to literally run circles around them. No Vampiric grace for these creatures; undead kender are stiff and slow, which is a very good thing when you consider their unique attacks.
Do not, under any circumstances, let them hit you. Aside from wielding the hoopak traditional to kender (a sort of combined staff and sling weapon), Kender Vampires possess wicked claws that seem to tear at a victim’s very soul, and a blow from these claws can paralyze the unwary and deal longterm damage to a victim’s psyche.
Another psychological weapon undead kender possess is a hideous, cackling laugh. Anyone that’s dealt with a gibbering mouther will be familiar with this trick, as the kender’s laugh can drive mortals in the vicinity temporarily mad. This, combined with the inherent horror of their existence, tends to more than compensate for their physical frailty.
As far as unique weaknesses go, Kender Vampires are a curious lot. Their own hoopaks, when turned against them, seem to act as magical weapons, and the sight of an herb native to Krynn called shimmerweed is repellant to them. All Vampires flinch away from reminders of their lost mortal lives, but Kender Vampires seem to do so with a sharper pain than most.
If you must go hunting for undead kenders, do so on the night of a full moon. You will find the poor creature gripped with such sorrow at what they have lost that weeping is all that they can do - although I myself have been hard pressed to strike a kender down with any kind of anger, in this state. It was only through focusing on the mercy such a death would bring that I was able to put an end to the creature.
Really, Soth. Why did you even make these?

Out of the Woods
Party
Ace-Human rouge
Ryai-Elf Spellblade
Konguq-human wizard
Vodren-Human Cleric
Billie- Human Barbarian (NPC)
Mogwen-Guide (NPC)
Getting the ride from the Centaurs, the party reaches the Stone Circle. Vodren plants the acorn given to him by Old Man Willow. With prayer to Habakkuk, the acorn sprouts up a foot magically. For doing this task he was cured of his phobia of canines.
The party decides to spend the night at the stones. On watch Ace, notices something bobbing in and out of the trees around their camp. He awakens the party and the group gets prepared for an encounter.
We smell them before we see them, but from the shadows comes a group of large masked lizards men. They tell their tale of being sent after the group of heretics from Solace but got horribly lost in the cursed woods. They claim they went to sleep one night in a cave and woke up in their current state. They want to be able to get back to High Seeker Hederick to report on their mission and hopefully be cured of their state. Konguq and Ryai give them the old magic pat down and do conclude that there is a curse upon them, but also that thier leader Saang is venomous. Mogwen, doesn't want to help them and Billie, wants to kill them. The party wants to leave them behind but the lizard men tell them that they'll just follow their tracks. Not wanting to stay in Darken Wood any longer the party allows them to travel with them, giving an I.O.U to Mogwen for doing so.
One of the lizard men named Baaz, spends the journey with Amethyst and Ace. They three are intrigued by an occurrence away from the party and split to investigate. From there they find a destroyed tree with a Dryad near it. The Dryad charms all three of them to go find help. Once the party notices that thier companions are missing they head back to find them. Vodren meets with the Dryad and prays to Habakkuk to fix the tree. It works, and as a thank you, she gives him a charm potion.
As the party continues on, Billie starts getting antsy that they've been traveling with the lizard men for so long and convinces Vodren that they should spring a surprise attack on them. Saang asks Ryai and Konguq if the party should spilt off. Ryai, deciding to believe that they are just cursed, tells them it's for the best that they do.
Billie wasn't fond of that.
The group finally makes it back to Laketown in once peice and decide to celebrate. Ryai, requesting the strongest drink they have, gets plastered and shoved to bed early by Billie.
Ace tries to talk to Billie about what she's going to do next, and the only thought she had on her mind was revenge against High Seeker Hederick.
Ace trying to convince her that her doing so was suicide, decided to make a bet with her. That Ace could do it faster and better without her getting hurt. And if he did, she would drop it.
The next morning the party heads out, Ace giving the Hoopak to Semolina Greenberry and make their way back to Solace to regroup and resupply.
They get there, and are stopped by the High Seeker's gaurd. They are told that High Seeker Hederick wants to talk to them. Vodren, tells them they would like to at least get settled first before going to talk.
Ace goes to receive Callum from Porkins. Porkins warns Ace that the gaurd has been on high alert recently, more so than usual.
The rest of the party goes to see Allon and give him at least the spell book they found. Before the conversation can go any further Orana enters the inn with a large group of gaurds.
Ryai hands Allon his journal with the locations of the dragon orbs inside it
(a/n with events that occur down the line I was stupid anxious about this journal for m o n t h s. )
The group meets up with the gaurd and gets frisked for weapons and other items. Ace, manages to hide his Mishakal pendent in his boot, the spell casters are allowed to keep their books, however Vodren's holy symbol is about to be discovered. Vodren freezes, and Ryai not wanting the man that saved him from dying in the woods to get caught, drops a fog around the group.
Chaos ensues.

#Inktober2019 catch up - A Kender and his infamous hoopak #sling, #treads lightly and often "borrows anything not nailed down." Loved the kender in #Dragonlance - like to drop them in for cameos in other settings. ;) (at Little Havana) https://www.instagram.com/p/B36CFVTAiaK/?igshid=1ku1y3s8kwkvw

Truly believe if TSR ever releases the rights for dragonlance movies I should get to be tasslehoff. I am the perfect person for the role I am small, peppy, boyish looking and I already know, like, a quarter of the text by heart and have a rly good hoopak ready. If I knew I would be getting he/him pronouns no matter what I would grow out my hair more easily. Make Me Tasslehoff 2020

D&D Character Questions
5) What is their favourite weapon to wield? Belxari - She’s down to a longsword that can be used via her dex stat called the Skyblade. She got it from the last heist she did before her path in life got really extra dumb (i.e. The Campaign)Rixy - Girl uses daggers. Need to homebrew a Hoopak. Siren - She’s got a harpoon that has a rope attached to the end of it. It’s thematic and also Really Handy.Amber - Fisticuffs. Also her (reinforced) umbrella that counts as a quarterstaff. But mostly her fists.

The Tomb of Paaz-Sannon
Party
Ace-Human rouge
Ryai - Elf Spellblade
Konguq- Human Wizard
Vodren-Human Cleric
Amethyst - Dwarf Soldier
Billie- Human Barbarian
The party reaches the last known location of Flint Fireforge, in the Tomb of
Paaz-Sannon.
Mogwen, stays behind to watch the campsite while the party approaches the door. The inscription on the door written in Nestari was translated by Ryai giving the party warning about what lies ahead.
Upon entering the temple, they are attacked by a group of Zombies, with Amethyst wrapping one up in her bedroll to take back to Semolina Greenberry.
With the zombies defeated, the party further explores the tomb. They come across a room with a giant mural on it, and the body of a dead woman in the center. Ryai does his first (and not last) info dump of the campaign about the wall, depicting scenes from a bygone era. At the the end of the wall is a skeleton maintaining the wall. It can understand Nestari, but cannot speak.
Upon investigating the body of the dead woman, Ace reaches for her staff and a bright light emerges, frightening Ace off from it. A pure white Faun appears next to the dead woman, chastising the group for letting the temple pond fall into goblin hands. (minus Vodren)
The Faun chastise Ace especially for stealing from an offering bowl near her goddess, Mishakal, statue. She however does offer to help, provided that Ace makes a charitable donation. Ace is perfectly fine with this outcome since he doesn't steal for monetary gain.
The Faun shows the party that the skulls outside can show the undead inside the tomb where they are at all times. The party removes the skulls during their time there and begins to freely explore the tomb.
The party is informed by their skeleton friend, who we are going to call The Sculptor from here on out, that Flint was last seen going into a door that can only be opened by the undead.
(A/N: remember how I said the skeleton can't talk? We had to play charades with the DM. This was an interesting time lol)
Eventually, the party convinces the The Sculptor to help with their plight and he begins drawing them a map
Loot
Hoopak- Ace
River winds sprial half - Amethyst (I also do not remember this item)
Deed to Armantaro's house
2x black root for healing

Quote
Let's see. It was the night before the morning that I got in trouble with the woman in the inn. I was walking around the town when I heard men laughing. I looked into a window to see what was so funny, and I saw this man hit one of the barmaids. They threw him out, and he stood in the doorway and saw my necklace and said it was his, and he came at me with a knife. So I popped him with my hoopak, and the barmaid kissed me.
