idk if i'll put this right but for all that you have Cas insulting Gortash and being like, supernaturally mean and vain, I also feel like the 'gortash come get your dog' part of them is really important 2 me too. Like, Gortash doesn't REALLY care what Cas looks like either. And he likes the violent nastiness of him more than anyone-he knows about more of it than anyone. I think that Cas sometimes is just completely depraved and disgusting or violent or w/e around him, and when Gortash doesn't care or likes it it makes him feel insane. He'd kill everyone on earth for this little grody banite, forget bhaal. am i nearish to the mark here

I like to draw their more casual, insult-y, bickering business partners type of relationship more often than the serious one clearly but... just know that Cas would throw his life away that he fought so hard to keep without a second thought for Gortash, let's not even talk about killing anyone that dares to oppose or threaten him or their ambitions.

also at the end of the day. Cas is pretty obsessed with all the things he roasts his ass about even if he'd not admit it💖 I always see Cas as someone that strives for perfection with his own self and appearance but because of that he was always quite fond of the way Gortash looks (like he does not give two shits about how exactly people perceive him. like a wet, dressed up sewer rat lets be honest here)

As for ships, I wouldn't exactlyy say I ship anything in this show tbch, but I'd say I'm especially fond of Sylava, in a strictly fanon kinda way.

#Wander Over Yonder #Lord Dominator #woy is funny bc the core four are all so shippable but nothing rlly does it for me. i think nearly all possible pairs there have some charm #when considering *all five* of the mains not a whole lot changes bc dominator's a lesbian and sylvia is the only other main who isn't a dud #(i'm not a pr.o.shi.pper so bigoted type stuff grosses me out when it comes to shipping. we don't go there eugyhgfghhs)#tbcch i'm of the firm belief that lord dominator shouldnt be shipped with anyone in a srs sense. like as far as staying true to canon goes #she's made it extremely clear that she's not into that kinda stuff *and* that she's wAy too horrible for any kinda relationships anyway #but when it comes to lighthearted silly fanon stuff (or any degree of au stuff where *GASP* D isn't a demon & they Work) sylava makea me :)#(in whatever way ppl wanna imagine them. i'm partial to ''yes homo no romo'' qpr type goodness w/ them but i love seeing Everyone's takes!!#partially bc it's nice to see people actually. care. about what dom is and is not about (sexuality-wise). which is THE BARE MINIMUM but wel #a lot of people Do Not do that! sadly sexism and homophobia exist and it seeps into a lotta things in a lotta small ways and *sobs*#SO YEAH IT'S NICE TO SEE. CRINGE #i still have beef w the split attraction model when non-aspec ppl use it ON BI SUBREDDITS CONSTANTLY TO DISCOURAGE ANY SELF-REFLECTION #like telling newly out bi's their internalized homo/biphobia is just an inborn trait that cant be helped so dont bother looking into it :)#thats more of a personal pet peeve than anything though #honestly the whole discourse was so stupid and the fake stories and moral panic coming from it was ridiculous #u kno whats real and can be trusted? peoples own experiences and interpretations of themselves. and that needs to be respected and accepted #i got so fed up w the dehumanizing and circlejerky nature of the exclusionist side. not to mention the victimhood complexes and the #black and white thinking that were being normalized by the entire discourse. and the essentialist thinking and public shaming #identities are not inherently above examination and there needs to be a balance between inclusion and exclusion in any context #bc both have negative and positive sides when applied to any group or identity. it should be approached w common sense #i wanna veer away from any generalizations and approach things on a case by case basis #but when it comes to someones personal identity and their lived experience. thats none of my business whatsoever #no matter what. basic respect is believing ppl when they say who they are. thats the bare minimum of interpersonal acceptance #fighting against that in order to uphold some us vs them dynamic is straight up awful #if you cant respect someone bc you cant personally understand their experience youre stuck on the wrong thing #you shouldnt need to relate to someone in order to treat them w kindness and empathy #if you need to find someone relatable to accept their validity then youre not genuinely someone accepting of differences

but like fr we are not going to solve racism by reifying ‘White’ into a real, important category. all you’re doing there is solidifying the idea that what people look like is what counts, and obviously that is going to be an issue when you’re talking about displaced/colonised people, those with a history of mixing for other reasons, or about peoples within any given continent that doesn’t have basically the exact history that North America does.

#same goes for ‘indigenous’ actually like dude when do you stop #justice for the early hominids homo sapiens displaced?#indigenousness is a useful idea in its primary contexts but it’s not helpful to try to apply it everywhere #e.g. Ireland #you can say that things that happened there were bad without pretending that Gaelic speakers weren’t settlers when they showed up there
