PHOTO POSTS/SETS: We've noticed an increase in photo posts on the dash, and while we appreciate the enthusiasm, it is causing congestion. Please remember to limit the number of photo reblogs in a day as per our existing spacing rule. If this continues to impact the community experience, we may have to impose a specific limit on daily photo posts. Let's work together to maintain a balanced and enjoyable environment for all members. Please help us avoid unnecessary restrictions.

OOC DRAMA FORM: To ensure effective communication and address concerns from active/current members, we kindly request that members use the OOC Drama Form for any non-roleplay related matters. This helps us maintain transparency and a healthy community environment. Your cooperation is vital in fostering a positive roleplay experience for everyone. We will no longer address concerns via anon or through our IMs. We require necessary information to handle these concerns and utilizing the form is the easiest way for us to obtain this information.

Hey Famers!

We have some updates as we move into the new year in just a few days! Another new year together and we can't wait to see all the new plots come to life for 2024!

ACTIVITY CHECKS:

As we grow with our members and take in your feedback we have decided that moving forward we will be conducting activity checks every Sunday! We know life changes, we're all getting older, responsibilities shift and just over all - real life is back in full swing! We want to be able to make sure this group stays true to what we set it out to be and ensure that something that is meant to be fun remains that way. Roleplaying is a hobby. Please remember that even though ACs will be on Sundays, activity guidelines will remain the same. This change has also been reflected in our rules as well. However, should we feel this rule doesn't work and is being taken advantage of, we will go back to checks every five days. Activity Checks will resume on January 7, 2024.

2024 PLOT SCHEDULE:

Our 2024 plot schedule is live! Dates are filling up so if you have something in mind try and reserve the date before it gets filled! We have pregnancy, wedding, parties, and dramatic plot slots open as we tried to scale down our rp-wide events to free up more space for you guys to throw your events and do more personal plots! Take a look at the schedule here and message us if you'd like a date or want to bounce some ideas off of us!

Please help us by looking over our ships list here. We never have and never will update the ships list unless we're told. Please just take a moment to ensure that what you want your celebrity to have accounted for is there.

FC LIST and OOC LIST:

Please take a glance over at these two lists (here and here) to make sure your fcs are listed and you are also listed in our ooc list as well. Having these lists updated helps us when it's time for trips to make sure everyone gets a roommate and that the generator doesn't pair you up with an FC you play. If you notice any discrepancies please let us know so we can fix it!

Famers, it's time to dress in your most galactic outfits as we head to Messe Berlin in Berlin, Germany for our annual fall Fashion Show! With designer outfits and a show inspired by SPACE, we’re surely in for a mesmerizing night that will showcase a side of fashion that is daring and unique. We can’t wait to see everyone in their most glamorous space theme attire! Everyone is welcome to walk the red carpet. Be sure to put in your best effort as the red carpet hosts will be commenting on outfits throughout the night and conducting interviews. We ask that every celeb (regardless of hiatus or reduced activity) states they are attending the fashion show.

Under the cut you will find the order of the show! A note to those modeling: Please make sure that you create a separate post for each outfit and tag the main. As for our performers, please be sure to tag the main in your posts as well. You can post videos of your performance if you’d like! To all participating in the event: You do NOT have to follow the order of the show when making your posts as we understand time zones can be a real struggle. All we ask is that you please post your outfits and performances whenever you can before 11:59PM EST on the day of the event (SEPTEMBER 29TH). This is a gentle reminder that because this is a sign up participation event, if you do not post either an outfit or a performance, we have to issue a strike. Be sure to schedule your posts in advance if needed! We will be having a rehearsal on September 28th. Posts are welcomed for the rehearsal, but not mandatory on that day!

Hey Famers,

We want to address something that has been brought to our attention by one of our members. For the most part, this post is just a gentle reminder but it is something that needs to be refreshed in our memories when interacting within the group.

First, we want to talk about branching out to new people within the group. Actively, we try and prevent ‘bubble rping’ and although we haven’t had a ton of issues of this within the last few months, we have noticed in our more recent activity checks that it is starting to creep up again and we want to nip it before it becomes a bigger issue. We want to remind you all that bubble rping is not something we condone here at Hollywood Fame. We encourage you all to always look for new connections and interactions within the group, even the unlikely ones. Sometimes we may be intimidated to interact with a FC that we have little to no knowledge of but sometimes those are the beginning of a beloved connection that you didn’t see coming. Regardless of lack of knowledge on a FC, we want to continue to encourage you all that you should be making connections with any and everyone who is willing to offer you the same. That being said, role play is a TWO WAY STREET. If someone is giving you the effort to plot, interact, and write with you then you should be giving them the common courtesy of giving the same effort in return. It’s not a great feeling to have someone reply to your things and only be met with half the reply or little to no effort in keeping the conversation alive. Please be mindful that if people are taking the time to give you a reply, you should always be returning it with the same energy and effort. And to those who feel as if their FC is ‘less popular’ please also take the time to be on the dash and explain who your FC is and what they do. Yes, it’ll get tiring to say the same thing over and over again but it’s opening up opportunities for new interactions and for people to learn! Because let’s face it, we all can’t keep track of every single celeb here, what they do, and who they are. So giving updates and showing people who your FC is will be great for everyone! And in that very breath, we expect our members to always be open and willing to learn about new FCs as well. Ask questions to engage in conversations, find similarities - that’s the whole point of rping in a group! To build those unlikely connections and watch it grow into something great!

With that, we would also like to address patience and empathy for replies in general. Life happens and it does come first which is why we will always encourage you all to be patient when it comes to replies from other muns.   Please give people a reasonable amount of time to reply as there are countless of reasons why they may not be able to right away.  We get that it can be frustrating waiting for people to reply back to your things but we also know that it can be hard to log on and do them when life calls. If it does seem to be a decent amount of time since, five days or so, then please do reach out to your fellow member and give them a gentle nudge in their IMs or ask. More often than not, it's sitting in their drafts and completely slipped their mind or life has been hectic on their end and replies are coming in the following days. Communication is key and will almost always put an ease to your mind about things that are bothering you.

  On the other end of things, dropping replies is not something you should ever be doing  unless you're planning to start up something new with the mun. Conversations do stretch out over weeks and admittedly, they do die out over time, but in no way is that okay to just forget about the mun that was giving you the effort to interact with your FC. If you do find that a conversation has died out, please do message the mun personally and reach out for something new or offer to plot with them for something in the near future. We are fortunate enough to have members that are always willing to interact and find connections but we do want to make sure that we don’t put previous connections on a shelf. Also, please do make sure that you are checking IMs and looking at who is in need of connections in the OOC blog. Unfortunately, Tumblr’s messaging system can be difficult and messages may go under the radar or slip through the cracks but please do make sure that you are checking to see who is messaging you for plots and take the time to respond to them. No one ever likes to feel ignored and sometimes it isn’t intentional but we always want to make sure we are in communication with those who are attempting to plot with you. And if you are asking for plots in the OOC blog, please make sure to message everyone who answers your plot call. If people are taking the time out to answer your plot request, then please give them the common courtesy of replying to them in return, even if it’s someone you never thought your FC would interact with before.

We say it time and time again that we are so proud to have members that are so willing to talk with and interact with everyone that comes into the group but we do want to make sure that we are taking the time to involve everyone no matter what FC they may have or no matter what their activity looks like at the moment. Please continue to do your part here and help us make our little community grow into an even more inclusive and interactive group. This group belongs to all of you and we want to continue to move Fame in the right direction with your help. Thank you guys!

We have some exciting news that we want to share with you all and we hope that you find excitement in it with us. After some discussion and adjustments made to the previous way we have done them in the past, we are excited to announce that we are bringing back MEMES! We do know that they have been highly requested by members and we hear you. We discussed some things about the old method and wanted to renew it with a trial run of this new version of memes. Since there have been some reservations about bringing them back in the past, we want to note that to participate in memes, you must read this post to its entirety so that you know what has changed!

GENERAL NOTE ON MEMES:

Please make sure you are following hfrpfanmail. That will be the account where we post memes so if you want to partake in them, you must be following that blog.

Memes will only be done ONCE a month as it will take time to prep memes for the team. Memes will have a sign up period of 72 hours which will be from Friday at 10am -Sunday at midnight EST the weekend before the meme starts. If you do not sign up during that time period, you can’t participate in the meme for the week.

Memes will run for ONE WEEK. That means that the list will be posted Monday after the sign up weekend and will run until midnight EST on that following Sunday.

During this trial period, we will only be allowing THREE FCs per mun to sign up for the meme.

SIGN UPS:

As noted above, sign ups for memes will begin on the Friday before meme week and will run until that Sunday at midnight EST. The meme that will be in play for the week will be posted on the sign up post. You cannot sign up after that time period has ended. To sign up, you must comment on the post that hfrpfanmail posts for the meme. Again, you can only sign up THREE of your FCs per mun.

MEME WEEK:

On the Monday following the sign up weekend, we will post a master list of those that signed up to participate in the meme that differs from the sign up list post (blogs will be tagged to make it easier for people to send out asks). During the week, the list will be reblogged as a reminder to send out memes. Please remember that the same rules as our old meme method apply that if you signed up multiple FCs for the meme, you are to send out THREE asks to every person. We highly suggest keeping track of those you send out to as we want to make sure that everyone gets the appropriate amount of asks for every meme. Keep in mind, sometimes asks do get lost because Tumblr is the best at eating them. If you want to check if someone got something from you, feel free to message them. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

EMOJIS:

When you have completed the meme, meaning that every person on the list has an ask from your FC(s), you are to go back to the masterlist post and comment an emoji of your choice to show that you are done sending out asks. If you have multiple FCs signed up, please do the following when commenting:

FC 1: (emoji) FC 2: (emoji) FC 3: (emoji)

This will signify to the team that you have completed the meme and we will mark it down. Please do NOT comment an emoji if you know you did not send out to everyone on the list. If you do not comment the emoji(s) by Sunday at midnight EST of meme week, we will count this as you did not send out to everyone and you will be messaged accordingly to not participate in the next meme. MAKE SURE YOU COMMENT YOUR EMOJI(s) WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE MEME.

HATEFUL ASKS:

While we do not foresee this being an issue, we have to note that if we find that hurtful or hateful asks are being sent out for memes, we have every right to discontinue doing memes until further notice. We do NOT condone any hate and bullying here at Hollywood Fame so we will pause doing memes if we are informed of any asks of this nature. Our members' well-being comes before any sort of event or meme we may be doing. Please be mindful and courteous when it comes to participating in the memes.

We know that emergencies happen during the week and if they do, please be sure to message us so we can excuse you from the meme and take your FCs off the list. Communication is always key for us so we know what’s going on. If you are taken off the list for the meme and people have already sent you asks, we just ask that you delete them as it’s not fair for asks to be answered but not given out to everyone.

We have a bit of a lengthy admin notice here and we do ask that everyone reads it. It will be going over everything from a few new rule changes, gentle reminders, new events, and overall maintenance of the group.

RULES UPDATES:

Anonymous Applications:

Hollywood Fame RP will no longer accept apps on anonymous. All anonymous apps will be deleted. Apps must be from a tumblr blog that we can message should we have any questions about the application. The tumblr blog could be an old blog, current fc, personal blog - it doesn't matter once it's an active blog we can message to.

Reservations:

Hollywood Fame allows two reservations per mun, however you can only apply for one FC. The reservations are held for 24 hours and cannot exceed two fcs.

Unfollows:

If you have been unfollowed five times in one year on one FC - you cannot reapply for that same FC for three months. However, you can apply for any other FC you wish.
