one thing i find interesting is that so far (i think, at least) nobody really commented on the fact that scar is avoiding asking grian if he's okay like a plague. (i should state this is about hmtb fic-)

i started talking to wilm about this riiight when it started happening, but i don't think any of the readers really brought this up? but it's a thing, right? it is? i think it is.

just saying. just. just a thought thrown out there.

what do you all think about that?

I have been thinking about some particularly good bits of the Witcher stories and I have two different mumscarian au scenarios and I can’t pick between them. It’s a struggle, because they flip the characters.

i did it :3 an anniversary update of hmtb (chapter 51)

it's been a year!!!

i had no idea my silly little fic would get this far. it's insane and mindboggling (in a /pos way), especially to know that people still enjoy the story after all this time. that you guys want me to share this with you and get excited for new chapters. (it makes me so so so happy!!)

and gosh, i wish i could make a more proper and coherent post about this but i'm unwell today xjnbjkn so it's hard to think and word things but. the fact that this fic is what let me enter the fandom properly? i think i'd just stay quiet and maybe read some fics and not interact with anyone ever, if it wasn't for hmtb. and then those interactions led to me properly getting on tumblr and making this side blog and getting (back) into drawing and stuff!

that's so wild. it started with such a small little thing - just an idea, a whim, a little bit of self-indulgent bravery - and yet it feels so significant. like it changed my life so much. (enriched it!!) (i'm now here you guys can't get rid of me /hj)

but it's more than those things. it's... it let me meet and talk to people who love the same things, and i was able to make some friends who are now very dear and important to me. and i wouldn't change it for the world. (i love you guys <3)

it's not a journey i expected when i decided on a whim to write a hermitcraft fanfic. but man, am i glad i did post that first chapter, one year ago.

angeart save me angeart i hope you know that i go absolutely feral every time i see you post about literally any of your various aus. hmtb? shrieking in delight. hhau? foaming at the mouth. boatem circus? sobbing. the new ban au? giggling and kicking my feet. everything you write (even if it's just drabbles or your various rants and rambles) is so delicious and i eat it up each and every time. keep doing what you're doing; you are so cool and so insanely talented and i adore seeing you around on this silly little website

hi link <3 ooh this is a fun one, let's see!

to start us off, here's hmtb (it's forever a wip isn't it?) - the very first blinks in the story overall is in chapter 1:

“You didn’t come back.” “Oh.” Scar blinks and reboots to quickly compose himself into a smile. “I was just about to.”

bUT, let's also take a look at the current wip part of hmtb instead of the fic as a whole, which is the chapter i'm working on rn (50-something-ish). here's that fun blink :3

Mumbo blinks, sheepishness returning to his expression. He pulls slightly away as it all falls apart around him: this is more than just a breadcrumb to follow. This is Grian trying to vanish from his reach, and once again, Mumbo feels like all he does is misstep.

(dw as per usual everything's perfectly fine with those guys)

but because i love games like these, i'm going to dig into other unfinished fics. so! here's Elegy! the very first blinks overall is, once again, in the first chapter:

He blinks, makes another furtive attempt at breathing, turns back to Pearl. “So, whatchu got?”

and, funnily enough, if we take just the wip chapter (chapter 4/4), we're... again with mumbo? huh.

Mumbo blinks, trying to refocus on what Scar is saying, hoping it will be something that could twist this nightmare into something less horrifying.

and i'll self indulgently add two other projects.

here's an unfinished pirate thingie.

Grian blinks. The waves crash into the hull and even if the sounds around him are muffled and askew, it sounds like that’s far deeper below him. Not up here. Not— The liquid that pools around his fingers is warm, sticky.

and one from the silly vampire scar au.

Grian blinks, his throat dry with the abruptness of his panic reaction. With the preposterousness of this situation.
