I have had this idea since this post, but what if some of the vessels could turn into void beasts of sorts if they have enough control of the void, kinda like The Lord of Shades.

However, I like to think the Lord of Shades is a combination of souls that are void-based with someone mantling the Lord. The void beast would borrow power from the Shade Lord, and would probably have close relations to the mantle of the Shade Lord.

I would like to think that some of the void beasts could actually make a sound of some sort. I know that the vessels and the Abyss is completely silent, so other void beings would mostly be silent. This idea is completely inspired by this scene from HOTD. I absolutely love the clicks and whistles that Caraxes make.

This actually works in my headcanon as the vessels can make whistles and clicks as their vocal cords are partly formed. Now of course there is the Shade Lord roar at the beginning of this clip and also this clip, which kinda sounds like it is almost absorbing all of the sound and all you can hear is the rushing of void.

So I changed up the shade beast slightly based on my previous drawing of them. This particular vessel is blind in both of my projects, so it would make sense that both their shade and bestial form wouldn't have eyes either.

Have finally made some drawings for my fanfic. The first drawing is for chapter one, the second one is for chapter two, and the last one is for chapter three.

So here is another chapter. I wasn't planning on there to be art for the chapter but here we are. Anyways, enjoy!

Guys, I think I might be getting good at art, or I might be delusional. The hell if I know but I know for a fact that I can improve. This art is also fic-related, like most of my art posts.

New chapter for my fic. I made art for this chapter a few months ago (which is under the cut)and redid it as my style changed from then. There are some stuff I like about the old artwork but I feel like I wasn't able to translate it into this new work. Well, whatever, Just gotta keep on drawing and improving my art.

I have 5 more months of experience and I will say I think I am definitely a bit more used to drawing with a tablet since August.

Some Vessel designs and references. Both for my fic and au. The vessel sizes are pretty close to the ones in the AU. The only exception is the extremely tiny vessel as they are an OC for my fic. The wings reference for the vessel are mostly for the fic, but Lost Kin and Greenpath vessel still have those wings in the fic and au. Ghost would have the same wings as lost kin, and the nosk vessel( Named Null in the AU and Grey in the fic) doesn't have wings in the AU. The two other vessels are OC's for the fic. Also...

I keep on trying to put little 'eyebrow' marks on the shell, as I think they are neat, but I keep on forgetting to do so. Just realized it is very difficult to see the 'eyebrows' on the image on the left. Just imagine they are there lol.

Just realized I never uploaded the drawing from chapter 10 of my fic. At this point, I had the iPad for almost 2 months now and I was still getting used to digital drawing(I'm still trying to get used to it), and I think this drawing holds up compared to some of my other digital drawings at the time.

Ze'mer such a tragic character. My God I just realized she's going to have years worth of mourning dumped on her and she is going to be hugging her lover. Poor girl meanwhile is going to be so confused on why everyone is having a mental breakdown.

Are we talking about cwhp on how when Ghost went back in time some characters had some or all memories retained? I don't think that most of the characters would remember much of the future, but they will have phantom pains or feel something when something happens. For example, Tiso feels scared when thinking about the Collosum or Quirrel having some memories of Ghost. Ze'mer probably feels some anxiety or spurts of being depressed or mourning cause of her lover's death.

The only bugs that would have remembered the future are the vessel (the ones that were alive in the future), higher beings(Unn, pk, wl), void-tainted Grimmchild/NKG, and void-tainted Radiance. Hyde, The Collector would remember more than the average bug that was alive but not that much cause their mind is 'simple'. The only bug that is 'normal' and has full retention of her memories is Helena, The Seer.

Will the bugs affected by the time travel find out about why they are feeling the way they are feeling? Unless PK decides to tell his knights how much of a monster he is, then probably not.

The only place Grimm has really been seen is Deepnest now that I think about it. Herrah's on thin ice with not one god, but at least 6 gods; The Pale King, The White Lady, The Present Nightmare King, the future nightmare king, the lord of shades and Unn. Herrah is lucky that these gods are forgiving, see no point in killing or tormenting her, or have better shit to do.

So first main question, how long does the soul sanctum have left in terms of chapters? I wanna see a soul sanctum raid at some point. Of course, in this universe, I think the main reason why Lurien might not have been able to tell the Pale King about the Soul sanctum is because of them possibly blackmailing him into staying silent. Else the fact that he is a moth will get out or the other remaining moths will be used in the soul sanctum's current practices.

This isn't even taking into account all the nice fluffy and angsty chapters our characters will have. I feel like the Mantis chapter is going to be a mood. If Herrah became unconscious for a few hours after being afflicted with the void, then it is safe to say that the mantises are going through some shit. Furthermore, they'll likely be feeling constricted by the power grab from Unn above them. With also the possibility of bugs from the soul sanctum appearing and snatching Mantises. I wouldn't put it past the soul sanctum to try to justify stealing mantises because they 'aren't important to the functionality and continuance of Hallownest'. Nobody is happy with this in all honesty. Least of all the Mantises themselves who may not have even recovered from the memory transfer yet.

Oh ya, how can I forget Grimm was also seen in Deepnest. Since Herrah and Hornet aren't important to the story currently as there is no contact policy with Deepnest or Hallownest. Honestly Herrah is super lucky that she has Hornet since she is the reason why Ghost didn't decide to kill her. PK knew that if he would have killed Herrah then that news would spread fast and then it would come out that he is looking for children. WL had no chance to do anything and wasn't allowed to by PK cause of his reasoning. Grimm knew that even though he decided to be cruel, it isn't going to get his child back. Herrah is so lucky that Unn is in one place cause she would have beaten her up for sure after seeing the mental torture all of the kids had to go though from getting split up from the rest of the family. Since Scarlett(the future Grimmchild) is still very young, she can't do anything if she wants, but future NKG may give Herrah nightmares. Since Deepnest hasn't been present at all, I haven't put much thought into them. But they will for sure come back.

Now the soul sanctum will probably not get justice in a very long time. Lurien only knows about the disappearance of multiple bugs but doesn't know that it's all from the sanctum. He thinks it is just multiple crime groups. If he was fully focused on finding who was responsible for all of the missing bugs, then he would definitely find that the soul sanctum is responsible and arrest them. But now he is focused on trying to find the vessels and the Collector.

I also don't think that blackmail would work on Lurien, even if the sanctum knew he was a moth. Lurien really cares for his citizens and even if he knows someone is blackmailing him, he would just reveal it to the king and queen as they are the only ones that damn him. And since they found out he is a moth and accepted him, they would do anything to protect him.

Hegemol being a spider would have implications. Especially considering he would likely be from Deepnest. Considering the implications of how Deepnest residents aren't exactly known for being the most liked. I could understand the mantises having stigma against them if it's possible they eat any unsuspecting young who wander too far. Yet also, props to the false knight maggot for having the absolute balls to steal Hegemol's armor while he was sleeping. That takes some guts.

At least in my AU's/works not many bugs would know that Hegemol is a tarantula. Only the King and Queen, The Great Knight, The Dreamers, and a few servers(as they prepare the meals for the knights and can see how carnivorous his diet is). So all of the issues that Hegemol deals with related to being a tarantula is all internal. So since his identity is kept a secret, none of the mantises would know that he is from Deepnest and he actually has a better disposition with them than Ze'mer. If they were to find out he was a tarantula, they might appreciate and like Ze'mer more lmao. In my AU(cwhp) I don't know what Hegemols downfall would be. I think he would have locked up the city and just wandered around a fallen Hallownest, filled with grief until he fell and was unable to get back up. from there, the maggot would have stolen the armor.

Kinda going off-topic and talking about the stigma against spiders in the Mantis tribe. Even though Hornet is strong and is able to contend with the lords, she wouldn't have been respected cause of her spider heritage. Besides Deepnest trying to escape into Hallownest, the mantis think that the spiders are unnaturally strong and have many negative superstitions about them. I guess the equivalent of how the mantis sees the spiders is the same as how normal athletes look at athletes who take steroids. Sure they are strong, but they didn't get their strength through natural means. Spiders are just naturally stong while mantis think they are just horrible, unnatural abominations. Even though Hornet has the blood of the king, she wouldn't be respected since she is still part of an abomination in her eyes.
