Spectrum is the eleventh studio album by Japanese jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara. The album was released by Telarc in Japan on 18 September 2019, with an international release to follow on 9 October 2019. It is her first solo album in 10 years after Place to Be released in 2009 also by Telarc.

最新アルバム≪LIVE IN MONTREAL≫の日本ツアー、なんて素晴らしい夜。
ハープに対するイメージが180度変わって、ジャズハープの豊かな軽やかさに驚きの連続。
上原さんが今回のデュオのために作った四楽章 “The Elements ; Air, Earth, Water, Fire”が美しい。

最近、わたしにとって、あらゆる活動について重要なことは、”詩情”なんだということに気がついた。
このライブも、二人の奏でるリズムに身も心もあずける体感から引き出された”詩情”が、みんなの中に確かにあったと、わたしは思う。
詩人 石原吉郎はかつて『詩にとって一番大切なのは、リズムである』と語ったそう。
(ジャズから詩へと話は飛びつつあるけれど、、)
“詩情”という内側から染み出すものと、”リズム”という外にあるものに身を預けることの関係が、今なら、すごく分かる気がする。
わたしが日常や仕事の中で生み出すものは、誰かの詩情を紡ぐコードに触れることのできる、調和したリズムを刻むものであるように、心がけよう。
きっと、それができたら、ささやかな毎日ではあっても、遠くの誰かまで幸せにできるような、気がするから。仕事に向き合う上での、大きな勇気をもらえた。
「いちのせはきっとこのショーを観たいんじゃないか？」とわざわざ貴重なお席をお裾分けしてくださった、この夜の贈り主に感謝しています。ありがとう！
