Drama CD2: Greed -NOZOMI-

Sakura's opening narration has her terrified of something, screaming to stay away.

March 1st, 2000, a traveller in the Amazon whose group vanished while she had a fever. Her aim is to acquire a rare plant used by shamans, and acquire a new ability, Sensing Mind. Everyone who consumed it had strong hallucinations, she intends to go and look for them, signing off as Papillon Noir. She hears someone talking claiming to be her mother, Laurier Noir, who died 10 years prior, Papillon rationalises it as a hallucination, recalling Laurier died of shock like systems the day she acquired the mysterious Sack of Greed. Papillon only becomes remotely convinced when Laurier mentions the amulet she gave her age 5, containing a Svet Plant from Tibet, Laurier then begs for help or else she will die again, Papillon finally opens the door, finding only a small sack.

March 23rd, the return journey. The whole party turned up, though changed. Papillon has no memory after looking in the sack, but her amulet vanished. She intends to continue studying to understand what Death is.

February 1, 2004. Miyako confirms acquisition of the sack in Paris, taken into the France branch's custody, though she admits to Kaede and Sho that she got it via smuggler, both espers are nervous about the sack, and have heard rumours. Sho and Kei will be running drills in Premier soon, Kaede considers pairing with Cactus, but Sho thinks that's a bad idea.Miyako thinks she hears someone, then the elevator falls. In the darkness, the others urge her to regather the Sack and contents, then urge her to check the contents by putting her hand in, Miyako realises the voices are fake right before rescuers arrive. Papillon tells Miyako the loft was damaged by explosion, suspected terror attack, Chasseur are currently investigating. Papillon respects and emulates Miyako, who got the sack for her, but left it in the elevator, as Miyako leaves, Papillion knows the Sack will be gone.

Yamajii moans to Ritchan about having to do customer service. Talk turns to Akamatsu, who has kept himself shut up recently, it's been two months since Mode Warp shut down. While clearing out a warehouse for renovation, Yamajii hears a voice moaning about cramped memories, Heichin's voice, claiming his soul is free, and making Yamajii fear he has Algernon. The voice asks him to let Kakuseijin rest in peace, but it can't ascend without coil 26, and lures him to a sack, but he recognises it from the book Sensing Mind, as the Sack of Greed that kills any who put their hand in it, and runs past Ritchan, who is about to finish up when she hears Yamajii asking for her to find something, luring her to the bag, but she opts to just bring him the whole bag. Yamajii bursts into Akamatsu's office, where he happens to be meeting Papillon. They rush back to the warehouse, but Ritchan has tossed the sack, Papillon knowing it will be lost, but assures Ritchan via Sensing Mind her father will be well. She was also there to check on the Manage Machine, and tells Akamatsu Sakura will awaken from the coma, that she's been in since the events of Mode Warp, one day, Akamatsu prepares to get to work preparing new product lines, so the day she awakens they'll have plenty to sow her. Papillon thinks Miyako must have liked the Mode Warp folks, but regrets she will have little time to look for the Sack in the future.

3 months after the events of Mode Warp, and Algernon slowly died out, Hinoki visits Keita in hospital, there's a takeout that he's got Algernon, but it's actually Hemorrhoids, Ushi has told the whole class. The Sack is just sat in the room, Hinoki goes to turn it in, while she's out Papillon comes in, and manages to make contact with Laurier, who is impressed by her skills. Keita gets a vague sense, but Papillon is brought to tears, but composes herself to ask after the sack. Hinoki hears Miyako's voice calling her, Hinoki asks what happened to her, Kaede and Sho, and is told they all died, Hinoki doesn't understand how, Miyako tells her Lamia ate her, then begins to make a request when Lamia psychically interrupts, telling her Miyako's consciousness cannot be there, and attacks. When she questions him directly over his identity, he allows her to believe he is her brother, claiming to be ho longer human, saying there's a way if she helps him, asking that she put her hand in and wish for him to be human. Keita and Papillon arrive just after she puts it in, but the sack is overwhelmed by her strong life force. Papillon takes the sack, and when Hinoki regains consciousness she tells Keita she'll stop focusing on the past, and wouldn't mind dating him, finally deciding to stop living with the delusion her father or brother will return, 5 years after Ajanta Caves.

Papillon feels her research into eternal life is done, although the case of Laurier and Keita is unique and seemingly Linker Gel was necessary, but she feels content. Apparently memories are stored in Linker Gel as Impulses, and Laurier unlocked those memories of the Amazon, Laurier called to her from the Sack, but Lamia saved her, trying and failing to kill it, it fled. He requested her seed, and took her to Seme, killed by the sack. Of it will save her Papillion is willing to give it up, Lamia fed a 3rd of it to Seeme and she revived, offering her life as thanks. He has her keep the remaining 2 portions of the Seed of Lume, and Seme is willing to tell Papillon they are Somniums, and Papillon may know of the Animus, but Lamia erases her memories.

Sitting in front of her now, the Sack bids Papillon to place her hand inside, but there is a head preserved in Linker Gel, the voice comes from the Animus Fruit Papi sprouting from the head, luring people to feed it life to keep the Linker Gel energised. She plans to have NEO seal it away, and continues to be aware of her own impending doom, but intends to keep investigating life's mysteries.

Sakura still sees nothing, but asks if someone awaits her awakening. Something is still coming.

"Tsurugi Temple (Kakurinjin)" is a 16-year-old "Shotoku Tadashi" (Suwato Emiko: Umaya no Oji) was played by Mr. Hatakawa (16 years old) at the end of the sixth century about 1400 years ago It was erected ordered to Kawachi. And it is said that the "Shitennoji Temple (Shitenno Nostalgic)" which was a priest of "Kyoko (Eben)", a monk from the Goguryeo, is the beginning. As detailed in NOZOMI, Keita and Hinoki officially start dating.

2010 AD. Keita is part-timing in customer service at an electronics retailer, and working at Marine Refuge Base. Already overqualified for the retail, and is considering taking the retail full time and skipping out on college.

When Marine Refuge Base appears on the TVs, Keita contemplates how accomplished Hinoki already is and how Akamatsu, wanting him to focus on his studies, told him not to come to base as often, but instead he took a second part time job for his hobbies. Hinoki appears on screen, but Keita is helping a customer and doesn't see.

Hinoki notices the camera is at a low angle, and is embarrassed about down there being seen when she wouldn't have been before. As Project Z is starting in 5 hours, TV crews are there for the news, as the Marine Refuge Base is a surface support for Project Z. Hinoki delivers files to the Director, whose mind dwells on Sakura’s 3 year coma, and how he promised Renais she’d wake up.

Hinoki rests after work, and Keita comes up behind him, only to find him dressed up as the heroine of The Sequel: Sweet Kaori-chan 17 forever, claiming he got caught up among revellers, he was actually pranked by co-workers after he let slip he worked with a GGG offshoot. She helps clean him up, and mentions, if only to be like Miyako, she wants to be a Dr.

The pair discuss Akamatsu, waiting so long for family to return, and Keita sees a parallel to her long wait for her family, or at least Mario, to come back. She claims not to be saddened by her family's death now, but tears up. He hugs her, she gets annoyed and hits him when he doesn't stop, and he comes to a major decision. Sakura declares the coming of the Conqueror King.

2012

Before taking up his office on the Orbit Base, Akamatsu makes one last attempt to convince Keita to join GGG, but Keita already working full time in retail, quietly tells him that he's has a single person he must support. Hinoki has left biomedical research for GGG, wanting to help people, and help Akamatsu meet his family again.

Keita promises to try and make their time off match, Hinoki acts upset, but having heard he’s saving money is glad he's being responsible.

After seeing Akamatsu and Hinoki off at Space Development Corporation tower, Keita starts looking for cheap Open Houses.

Keita and Hinoki’s paths have split between earth and space, but will someday converge once more.
