Well, we're off to a good start. Li Lianhua is practicing his martial arts and imagining Di Feisheng is there with him. I'm definitely not crying less than 5 minutes in
It's okay though because Fang Duobing is there to take care of him and make sure he keeps warm 馃槶
Okay, I suspected he rigged the mechanisms to be easily seen and destroyed because Fang Duobing mentioned it but I didn't realise the whole thing was him trying to take down Jiao Liqiao from the inside. I feel bad(ish) for him now
Oh shit! Well, it wouldn't be Mysterious Lotus Casebook without one final (I hope) dramatic poisoning

Very much enjoying Fang Duobing and Di Feisheng working together to protect Li Lianhua. I hope we get more of that.

This really is the worst kept secret in the jianghu. I think Fango Duobing is the only one who doesn't know at this point

I was going to make a joke that Li Lianhua plays up being pathetic when he's got two big strong men there to protect him. But actually it's probably not far from the truth. How many times do you think he's had to stay awake, or at least on guard, for fear that someone might figure out his identity and come looking for him. Now he's with two people one of whom knows his identity and one who has sworn to protect him no matter what. It's actually safe for him to relax and get some sleep so he's going to do just that.
Oh my god. Fang Duobing offered Di Feisheng some bread and Di Feisheng took it! I'm crying.
AND THEN DI FEISHENG SHARED HIS WATER WITH FANG DUOBING. Are they in love now? Is that's what's happening here? MY HEART.

Okay, I really shouldn't be doing this, but I keep seeing gifs and how am I supposed to resist two of my DMBJ boys in the same drama. Especially when one of them is Cheng Yi who I love.
Also, I promised @xantissa I would check it out and report back.
I'm only going to be watching this in slow time because I really want to finish The King's Avatar, but on a weekend when I have a bit more free time I can squeeze in an ep here or there. So there won't be regular updates for this one.
Also, I don't have a VIP iqiyi account so I can't watch it too fast anyway :D
I think I read that people involved Blood of Youth and Love and Redemption were involved in this? Or it has similar vibes to them? Either way I loved both of those dramas so I am hopeful for this one

I realised this morning that skipping watching any of this yesterday means I won't be finishing the drama on my birthday on Tuesday, which is what my schedule would have meant. Probably for the best. I'm sure the end will make me cry and no one wants to spend their birthday crying.
God, I only skipped one day and I have missed these idiots terribly. Onward!
I am weirdly fond of the turtle tank. What if we took a killing machine and made it cute?

Hils Watches Mysterious Lotus Casebook - Ep 12
Good news for me, bad news for everyone else. It's time for me to watch another cdrama and since I'm already watching one I'm just going to start watching this daily instead of the occasional episode on a weekend.
If you thought I wasn't normal about this before, prepare for me to be even less normal now that I'll be watching it every day.
I can't believe I've watched 12 episodes of this and I've only just realised that Liu Yuning sings the opening theme song. Now it's even more DMBJ adjacent
Wait, what happened at the end of the last episode? Why is his arm in a sling now? Oh, is it from when he fell in the pond?
I can't believe that after all this time Di Feisheng managed to sneak up on Li Lianhua but he gasped and jumped. Is this like when animals pretend to be 'hunted' by their young?
Oh, yeah, I forgot he 'quit'. See, this is why watching things in slower time is a bad idea. I forget what happened. God, I've turned into one of those people who needs the 'previously on' that they used to have when shows aired weekly

Every case Li Lianhua tells everyone what happened, the murderer laughs and says there's no proof, then proof magically appears. I am rather fond of it.
I love that Di Feisheng keeps saying he doesn't care about cases and then threatening to torture confessions out of people. I'm quite sure he's actually having fun solving crime with Li Lianhua he's jut not ready to admit it yet

The strong urge to just stop with the OT3 ending of the last episode is strong, but I shall continue
I happened to pause here to answer a text but god look at them
HE CALLED HIM A-FEI! I was just thinking last night that I hoped we'd get at least one more now that Di Feisheng has his memories back. I'm so delighted. They are so married.
This looks like the cover of a video game
This is a really awesome fight scene but it's very disconcerting that sometimes Li Lianhua can barely move without fainting and now he's in the middle of the most badass fight of this entire drama and he's not even sweating. Is this because Di Feisheng gave him some of his internal power?
Ah, now his poison is flaring up. Sorry, my bad. I shouldn't have mentioned it.
Okay, I definitely did not see THAT coming.
Di Feisheng has just found out that his new boyfriend isn't royalty, but the husband he just re-married is
