[ID: 2 Digital illustrations of a female DMCV Vergil in a dark space, lit from below. The first is a closeup of her face as she wipes blood off it with the back of her hand. Her eyes are slitted and electric blue. The second image is the fullbody. Blood's splattered on her clothes and hair, and soaks her forearms, hands and face. She glares up while swiping her bloody, gloved hand across her mouth, other hand gripping her sword, Yamato, by her side. Blood drips down the sheathe. Vergil's lit from below, casting eerie shadows on her face.
Design: She wears trousers and a vest. The highcollar vest's altered so the midsection curves across the chest like a corset. Her matted hair's waistlength, unbound, and falls across her face and arm. Her arms are toned, and her fingers taper to clawlike points.
The image is grainy, and encased in a square pink border; only Yamato's hilt pops out over the border. End ID.]
Read more for second version without blood.
[ID: The same image of fem Vergil as above, but sans blood and with a subtler grain effect. End ID.]
I was listening to Familyjules/Lollia's Bury the Light cover for some of this. I like their different approach to the more growly parts of the song. The vibes of that cover influenced this piece a decent bit.
god marinette would look gorgeous in a highcollar necklace wouldn't she, one of those necklaces that just spill over the collarbone and over the tops of the chest, so elaborate and expensive and adrien's still forking out money for it because she looks so good in gold and red rubies and she's absolutely stunning with her red lipstick and nothing else.... exquisite
I'd like to think I pass for a normal person. That's not all that impressive if you ignore my entire tumblr history and high functioning masking behaviors, hello fellow atypicals. But-
Why in the fresh fluffy hell did I fall for not ONE questionable shop npc
NOT TWO
FOUR. F * * * ING. M E N OF MERCHANTLY MANNERS!!!!! This ain't fair!!! They've all gotta be middle-aged, not rough and grizzled, dad humored, highcollared, crooked smiling, would-sooner-sell-my-soul-for-a-cornchip-than-hug-me SALESMEN?! AM I THAT SOFT HEARTED THAT THE "Please, bud, I do need the money, not cuz I'm poor but cuz it's just how we do business. You're still my pal, but we got deals to do before all that chum stuff continues." WORKS ON ME???? HOW DO I FUNCTION AS AN ADULT, ALONE, WITH THE EMOTIONAL FORTITUDE OF A TICTAC!!!
STOP TRYING TO SELL ME STUFF. I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK Q A Q
Menphina really isn't trying to make things difficult for them -- and she does not want to nitpick the little things. Yes, if she were S'ria, she would surely have a problem with the highcollar robe. (A massive problem to be fair.) But that can easily be remedied, no need to comment.
(She doesn't know when S'ria will return, and she is fine answering to his name. May as well give that, for now.)
(pretty lighting and teef)
Menphina puts it aside after thinking a bit, because the Urianger thing requires more focus, but she does wonder what she did wrong. She had not needlessly criticized things that weren't essential, the minor flaws could wait til later -- she'd only been kind about it so --
Oh, was that it? Did they realize she was holding her tongue on a few of the concerns she'd tucked away in favor of complimenting their efforts? ... She could see how that might come across a bit...patronizing, even if she had not meant it like that.
Ah. As much as she is concerned about whatever Urianger may do (she wants to trust him, she doesn't want to go through all that again), but she is also concerned for him. She worries this must sting, to be the one asked to act in secret yet again.
(Really, she's not trying to be patronizing when she tells Growingway she appreciates the "forest". There's nice colors, a lot of greens and cool tones and running water, and most importantly -- that they'd made lights that approximate sunlight. That'd be quite important for people's health. It's not really a forest, but they've done fine making a space.)
