Bitter slightly taste, as cooking by following method of mixed mass chop, and use one tbl.sp. in glass of water, lead till boiling on weak fire, boil ten min, infuse 30 min, use on half glass with adding honey.

Leafs of fragaria vesca 3 tbl.sp, root dandelion 2 tbl.sp, flowers tansy one聽 tbl.sp, leafs plantain 4 tbl.sp, leafs of black currant 4 tbl.sp, fruits hibuscus 5 tbl.sop. Same cook, and affecting as a favourable on liver work, gall ducts, and useful in acute nephritis.

I needed something without caffeine for a mid-morning brew since my 2 cups of coffee hadn't quite worn off yet. Herbal tea to the rescue! This is a nice blend by @leafylove . Not super complex, but a good balance of flavors. Tart hibuscus and rosehip, citrus twist from lemon and orange peel, with just a hint of rose for a mild floral note. I LOVE citrus peel and tend to steep them a little longer because I enjoy the bitterness so much. This sounds like a summer blend and is probably wonderful over ice, but I had mine hot with a little honey. September 5 2021 Boulder
I took a walk around the neighborhood this morning and was delighted by all the Black-eyed susans, hibuscus, cosmos, Russian sage,sunflowers, and native grasses which are blooming and offering habitat and food to the pollinators and birds.
Early fall colors are also showing up in some of the trees!
We鈥檝e really enjoyed being here at home, enjoying our yard and house, and it鈥檚 going to be hard to leave in a few days, but we trust it will be in good hands with our friend, Bryan, watching our for everything.
The potted flowers on our patios and decks are still doing well and I鈥檓 so glad I put in all that effort last spring to plant them so that we and our friend Bryan can all enjoy them when he housesits for us in another couple of weeks when we leave for Barcelona again.
