Art Weekend - The Mermaid by Henry Clive
Born in Australia, Henry Clive eventually made his way to Hollywood as a magician and later as an actor before he began painting. Starting with Ziegfeld girls as his subjects, he eventually began painting big stars for promotional materials and became the art director for Charlie Chaplin productions. Despite being a popular artist of the Jazz Age, very few of his original paintings still exist and they are highly prized by collectors.
