Beef with Ping Heng and the Six-Earred Macaque:
Some contex just between them since I'm pretty sure a lot of people are confused (I've been working on therapy cat au and young bones au so just in a writy mood sorry for the info dump)
I am clinging on the fact that Macaque's technique of fighting is borrowing strength from other demons and making it his own through literally your shadow.
Who taught him how to do this? The Immortal Tiger Demon, Jīe shi (strength, his name is strength oof--)
So imagine just if both of these demons got killed by THE SAME MONKEY, how desperate would you think they would want revenge. How much would they sacrifice? They both lost their lives, but from different situations.
Incomes Heng that carries the same bloodline as her Baba, but rather anxious with asking for forgiveness for something that didn't even involve Heng in the first place.
Ping Heng can fight, sure, but it would just showcase the fact that a tiger is to their own teachings till the very end.
Heng knows well about the feeling of being watched, until a voice calls out from a shadowy alley. It was her night walk just having time to herself in the quiet until she heard very clearly her Baba.
Is she in her demon form while walking around? Yes..yes she is pffff. Always high on alert
So she ends up following the voice to only appear no longer outside but in a old dojo and basically gets tricked from Macaque about how he could give her Baba, his mentor, back to her
Then as soon as he brings out the lantern, whispers surround the dojo, also. Wanting the Lantern.
She does not like Macaque. He knew her Baba more than she did, he fought against the Great Sage, he's cunning and charismatic at the command of only himself. And he knows that it's a part of his nature to be unlikable, so he just bullies her. You know, harmless playing around with the thoughts of dying.
She can't understand really why Macaque wants with her and she only is thinking that hes going to make her fight Wukong to cheat with death.
So, she becomes very combative and aggressive with him thinking it will make the demon back off of how she's going to ask forgiveness from Wukong.
And he doesn't. Because of course he doesn't share that he knows exactly what its like dying by Wukong and just spurs on more of his old self tactics of joking and poking fun at someone with bigger plans. He doesn't think anyone could let grudges go and not still have a remorseful attitude towards the very person that hurt them.
Laid back person vs Good head on their shoulders person
I got a comic that's a bit...unorganized of what pursues and i might reblog it under this post
