The opinions of people on Twitter about Queen of Tears' episodes sometimes makes me feel like I'm in a different universe. After today's episode, I saw more than a few "OMG, look at how upset Eun-seong is learning about Hae-in's diagnosis!!!! He really loves her!!! Hyun-woo was happy when he heard the news!!!! And look at how Eun-seong passionately is trying to find a cure for Hae-in!!! Hyun-woo has never done that!!! Hae-in should be with Eun-seong!!!!" And it's like, are we watching the same show?

While I don't necessarily like some of the things Hyun-woo did after hearing about Hae-in's diagnosis, his reaction to Hae-in telling him about his diagnosis makes a lot of sense. He was miserable in that family for at least 2 years. He didn't feel like Hae-in cared about the loss of their baby and she was so cold to him. I honestly can't see a lot of people not experiencing a sense of relief and happiness that they'd be out of a toxic environment if they just put up with it for a few more months. As for Hyun-woo not trying to find a cure for Hae-in, have people forgotten how he threatened the hospital in Germany with a lawsuit if they didn't try something to make her eligible for the treatment? And that's not even to mention all the things he's been doing to help Hae-in's family out so she can try to focus more on her health.

Eun-seong's actions towards Hae-in are not romantic, they are obsessive and possessive. Eun-seong's idea of what love is has been fucked up by his mother abandoning him. He thinks you have to endure and suffer your feelings for someone unlike his mother who never showed she was missing him. What Eun-seong doesn't get is that while it's good to show your feelings towards someone, that you also need to respect the other person's feelings too. And Eun-seong hasn't done that at all. He hasn't been listening to and respecting Hae-in's boundaries. She has made it clear that she doesn't want anything to do with him, and he's still trying to force himself into her life. Eun-seong feels like he's owed Hae-in's love because of their interaction all those years ago. Also, like he schemed to make her family lose their money. Why would he even think that Hae-in would want to be with him after that?

Thankfully, people here are more reasonable when it comes to Eun-seong.

I literally cannot take Yoon Eun Sung seriously at all??? Like is he really that delulu to think that after everything he's done to take over the company and how he has repeatedly insulted hyunwoo, somehow he's going to have a chance with haein???

And i truly don't care that he actually likes her or whatever because he's bordering on obsessive and he's deeply disrespectful to her by repeatedly neglecting how haein has repeatedly expressed her disinterest in him very matter of fact as well.

At this point he's giving stalker, and has invaded the sacred sanctuary that is hyunwoo's home.

I really like the newlywed sequence in episode 13. It's something Haein knew she would do if she got a second chance at their marrige. She essentially went around Seoul participating in all things Hyunwoo did alone during the hardest time of their marriage. She said in an earlier episode at the school's playground 'Everyone here is in pairs, so why did he do this alone?' I've thought since then that it's not that he wanted to do it alone, he just didn't have her to do it with him. It's beautiful to see them now make all those things into such pretty memories.

I also love her trying to understand his reasons behind his hobbies. The baseball scene is very sweet. It in a way conveys how hard and messed up of a time it was for him but also holds no resentment. He's over it. They've learned from it, they're moving on. Yet it shows how much she still cares when she asks him if it made him feel better. I also love how it progresses. She's going to fill up her candy jar and his sole focus is now saving her. Its beautiful really. It's mundane and it shows growth. I like that.

There's a pinch of sadness for me too cause when Hae-in says she's gonna focus on filling up her candy jar all I could think was 'sweetie fill it all you want, it might still end up empty real soon'. It's cruel to her. And then there's Hyunwoo saying the most important thing for him right now is saving her. He's at a point where he's desperate enough to have her let go of that candy jar.

#it's a filler episode for sure but it has such nice parts #I'm glad for it #it's a nice break from the constant crying #I do think it's important for their characters as well #it's so much growth #communicating their fears and secrets #Haein not hiding that she's waiting for him when he comes back from work #Hyunwoo realising how deeo her attachment really goes #queen of tears #hong hae in #baek hyun woo #baekhong #picking the episodes apart #highlight what makes me happy and what i want to remember #rewatch

Mare sure was talking a big game in War Storm about how she didn't care about Cal Tiberias for someone who wouldn't stop looking at him in every situation she could.

You say you're over him, but you just happened to notice that his boots were polished and that he was wearing the new winter collection of the Calore wardrobe? Okay girl whatever you say.

Not to mention she went out of her way twice (2x, otra vez), to tell two powerful people who make important decision that he has to live by the end. Like sure girl, you're over him, we believe you 🙄
