Mettaton x Reader - Headcanons

Whenever you kiss Mettaton's hand, his metal heart throbs in his chest. Everyone is always about kissing on the lips (which he loves as well, of course), but hand kissing? Has him in pieces.

It's worse when you kiss him out of the blue, since he doesn't have time to prepare himself beforehand.

Since Mettaton can't really eat food, he isn't able to try out any Valentine's Day candy, but he'd love to get a bouquet of flowers to put in a vase! Though, he has to be careful while putting the water in the vase, since some of his circuits haven't been water-proofed yet...

The first time you told Mettaton that you loved him, he thought his circuits were going to actively combust in that moment. It makes him so incredibly happy whenever you say that you loved him... However, when you held his face in your hands, and told him how much you adored him? His soul nearly left his metal body.

Underfell Mettaton straight up denies that he likes getting kisses, and will never admit that he actually likes it... Except, he accidentally did admit it out loud one day, and he swore that you've been riding that high ever since.

Though, when you say "I love you," he's always inclined to say it back, regardless of the situation, or where you both were. He may get incredibly flustered at times— especially when you held his face in your warm hands while you told him how much you loved him, but no matter what, he always says it back.

He also has an abundant of nicknames he likes to call you. His love, darling, sweetheart— all of it.

He likes to be around you despite what he may say on occasion, and almost always touches you in some way. A hand on your shoulder, or lightly petting your hair. He'll even hold hands with you if you ask nicely enough!
