ITS BAFFLING TO ME WHEN PEOPLE SAY HAWK SHOULD HAVE SAID I LOVE YOU TO TIM. Not because it wouldn't have made sense or sum shit, but because he did tell Tim. It was so obvious. Like he did. Since the beginning, every smile, every forehead kiss, when he broke his promise not to write. Everytime he went back to Tim, called Tim back to him. It was in everything he did. An endless litany of 'i love you. i love you, i love you.'

For me, I personally didn't notice he never said I love you to Tim because it was so obvious so clear that he did. And I am so sure Tim did too.

Just thinking about this scene again. Hawk is so broken here. He's clinging on to life with his fingertips. He's saying, "This is where I am. I need you, but I can't be who you want me to be right now. This is all I can be. Please, meet me here." And Tim realizes that he can do this for Hawk. He tosses everything aside, his morals, his conscience, so he can meet Hawk where he is. Hawk needed Skippy, and Skippy showed up.
