ed showed up earlier this week. they have a moray eel that stares at you from inside the mug while you drink. i think about how they would get along with ed from cowboy bebop

finn and i are baking cookies at her apartment later today. it feels like a fun way to observe the solstice. maybe the best in years

I went with my friend Matt to buy tamales from a lady who lives off old Alabama road. She made thirty two dozen tamales with her two month old baby strapped to her chest. We didn't call dibs fast enough so we only got three dozen between the two of us. A half dozen are already safe in my belly.

I lit the fireplace and some candles for the solstice and Boba Lee is mesmerized. I am looking forward to a quiet night of reading.
