Idk why but I really like the image of Kidd bending down to tie his gfs (goth or Lolita) boots, Those things are hard to bend in, and can be easily ripped. Kidds just tryna save money right? Totally not cause he’s 100% down bad whipped

i can see Kid viewing his gf's boots as dangerous because of how junky/elaborate they are and always discreetly checking that the shoes laces/buckles are done up properly so they don't trip and hurt themselves. but he doesn't start tying them immediately, the first occasion of it occurs before they start dating.

Kid, who is getting incredibly fed up with his crush ignoring his reminders to tie their boots up properly, just says fuck it and physically stops them on the ship just so he bend down to tie their shoes for them. then he stands up, places a kiss to their head and just walks away with bright red cheeks to find Killer.

after they start dating, Kid does it at every possible occasion. he especially insists on doing up their boots in the morning, claiming that he's just worried they'll break their favourite shoes and won't be able to find replacements. in reality, he just loves the trust his gf puts in him and being able to show them how much he loves them. he has a little ritual and everything for these mornings though (it involves kissing his gf's ankles and sliding their socks/tights onto their legs for them).

Kid defiantly bends down to quickly tie their boots up for them before every adventure or fight the crew takes part in, telling his gf that he just doesn't want to replace their expensive shoes again. there's something incredibly attractive about a 6ft9 buff and angry man kneeling down to tie his gf's fragile shoe laces for them so they don't trip and fall over.

after Kid looses his arm, he gets so mad that he isn't able to tie their shoes anymore and tries to come up with some gadget or a new arm attachment that has smaller fingers that will let him tie their shoes laces again. whilst he tries to figure this out, his gf starts tying his shoelaces for him and he finds himself falling in love with them all over again.

Kid, our resident lover of domesticity and being a romantic simp for his gf, would love to tie up their shoes for them. he just loves being able to silently show off to his gf how reliable he is and how much he loves them. Kid 🤝 being whipped for his gf.
