Finally got around to watching the 2004 Phantom of the Opera (being 20 years out of phase with fandom seems about right for me). And like, the opera ghost is supposed to be this tragically misshapen, ghoulish figure, but I’m sorry, they failed EPICALLY in that regard. Look at this man. Sorry, Raoul. No contest.

I think one of the saddest things for me is, going through a depressive phase without feeling much joy for what you love. Even tho I currently take some time for myself to just play stuff before the big application time starts... I feel not a lot of joy.
And I hate it. No one should feel like this so yeah, daily reminder guys that I wish you to never lose any joy in life. I hope you will find so many times to just smile.

I went to a job interview for a barista position in a local small coffee house, and promptly had to spend 30 minutes being asked about my gender and asked to reassure the boss that her child who doesn't want to be a girl is "probably just going through a phase, but still normal", followed by a "well, if you take hormones you'll probably need a lot of extra accommodations and I don't have the time and space to grant those" whilst she just told me none of her staff know how to properly foam milk whilst I have a year of experience. When I walked away I had no idea about pay, what the duration for shifts is or anything else about the job.
It sure is lucky that it's trans people who make being trans their entire identity and cis people who are *totally normal* about it all, huh?

do any other artists feel like. yeah you're a 'good artist' because you draw things that look nice, but like. TECHNICALLY? you're really not great
i really hate that i can recognise that yes, my art is good, but is it VARIED? is it dynamic?? is my anatomy good? is it full of texture and colour theory? do i know how to do This? can i do That? no, not really. and that's quite painful actually
