Riordanverse GODLY ASCENT AU: Leo Valdez

Where most demigods experience existensial or mental crisis, Leo Valdez got physical whiplash from his godly inheriance. Hephaestus' powers over the Forge came with the price of physical disability. To fulfill the God's role, Leo had to understand his life.

As Hephastus' powers flooded into him, Leo lost his left arm. With the help of Festus, he rectified the issue (but Calypso was none too pleased).

Leo rules Hephastus' spot on Olympus, controlling Fire and precious metals in the Forge. His half-sibling, Nyssa, contols the ironwork and everyday Forges down in Camp Half-Blood. (Happy to report that all the ladies still love Leo!)

Riordanverse GODLY ASCENT AU: Jason Grace

This AU diverges from canon before Trials of Apollo. Apollo falls to Earth, but rather than gain his Godhood back, he brings the other Gods down with him.

This also means... Jason Grace never dies.

With Thalia leading the Hunters of Artemis, only one demigod in the world is capable of handling the King of Olympus' power: Jason. He recieves the brunt of Zeus/Jupiter's power, but Jupiter's powers are intense to say the least. Jason can't control every power of Jupiter's without burning through his mortal body. He gains the power of Lightning, but the rest of Jupiter's powers flood into the mortal world unchecked.

The sky domain - general climate and natural disasters - reign unchecked throughout the Western world. There is nobody who speaks the language of cloud nymphs, and the minor wind gods refuse to communicate with Olympus. It's just one of the many issues Halfbloods face.

Part One of GODLY ASCENT AU: Will Solace

Divine Karma (caused by some immortal trickster) has hit Olympus. The Gods have been stripped of their powers, much like Apollo already experienced, and sent to the mortal plane. Several have taken resident at Camp Half Blood. Several are too stubborn, leading to quests revolving around their location. But immortal power doesn't simply *dissapear* - it has to go somewhere.

The most powerful demigods became the natural fall back for segements of those powers. The eldest demigod children of each God were appointed segements of power. Nobody got the full set.

^ Will Solace recieved Apollo's powers of Healing and Light. As the eldest, he was able to take on two roles. His days are divided between managing the Sun Chariot, keeping up with his father's role in the New Olympus Council, and managing plague outbreaks.

The other Apollion powers went to Rachel Dare (currently lost in a coma from the power of the Oracle trying to fit into a mortal's body), Kayla Knowles (Archery), Austin Lake (Music and head of the Nine Muses), and several younger demigods who don't understand the situation.

Riordanverse GODLY ASCENT AU: Annabeth Chase

Athena happens to be one of the Gods who remains unlocated as of Annabeth's ascent to Olympus. With her mother seemingly on the run, Annabeth has directed several quests out of Olympus to find the former Goddess of Wisdom. She heads meetings on Olympus alongside Jason Grace.

While she appears to handle the changes best, Annabeth's brain suffers most from Athena's powers of Wisdom. She has constant headaches that can't be remedied, even by Will Solace. Malcolm Pace faces similar symptoms with Athena's powers of Strategy.
