veronica mars rewatch 1x18: weapons of class destruction

• ok i haven’t even started the episode I’ve only read the description but I remember some of this bomb plot. I vaguely remember somebody weevil knows (whether someone in his biker gang or an enemy I don’t remember) being chained or something in the school by weevil, and then the school explodes or has to be demolished or something and he’s trapped in there and dies?? I’m definitely getting some details wrong but I definitely remember their being a bombing and somebody dying

• and I’m guessing Keith has been dating Wallace’s mom

• this teacher’s voice is kinda reminding me of jennifer tilly

• ok I was wondering why they had a different teacher for the journalism class…I was like where did Sidney Poitier’s daughter go lol

• ha I remember this Corny kid

• ok but like who is making the bomb threats and how? I guess it’s on the website Veronica saw the name of on the table but if that were the case you’d think the students would know about it too

• lol ok so my first thought was yes bomb threats should be taken seriously, but wow everyone is freaking out. and then I realized I was looking at this from a 2024 perspective. bomb threats were the norm when I was in high school, particularly 2013-2014. not like an insane amount but I do remember a few. We also had “bomb threat Tuesdays” where high schools in my district would try and make bomb threats on Tuesdays. (Very aptly named). Whenever there was a threat we would leave the school, literally sit in the parking lot (which also confused the fuck out of me, cause if there actually was a bomb and it went off we’d probably be injured or dead) and then it’d be cleared and we’d go back inside. But I guess in 2004 it was not the norm, plus this is a TV show so also added dramatic effect?

• ahh yeah those 2 guys are the ones planning the bomb and I recognize the one guy, he definitely gets killed

• although this show always has a plot twist of some sort so I could be wrong

• Veronica maybe you should uh tell someone about the website and your suspicions about Ben and Norris. I know the administration hates you but

• this Ben kid’s an undercover federal agent?!

• this shows plot twists always slap me in the face

• not the Waco and Columbine reference. God. This was only like 5-6 years after columbine. It’s crazy that was a real tragedy that affected people and is name dropped in every thing possible.

• man I really can’t figure out where this is gonna go. it’s stressing me out lol

• ohhh it’s gotta be the other kid who warned Veronica about Norris and Ben.

• goddd what is it with cops planting stuff on people just so they can make an arrest?? your arresting the wrong person and the bombing is still gonna take place!

• ok well at least Norris was released.

• ok so no bombing happened. and weevil wasn’t even in this episode…wtf was I thinking?? I think I confused it with a different episode, cause I know for a fact there’s an episode where some building explodes and a guy is trapped in it and weevil is involved somehow
