#this is like just for show purposes because f&b was very biased towards the blacks#but like a lot of the reasoning for actions taken in the books makes sense when you consider the interactions you see in the show#like so fucking true the greens obviously saw the blacks as a major threat to alicent's kids#and every precedent in targ westerosi rule points to aegon ii being king - by viserys' word rhaenyra should be queen but hes done nothing#to like properly indicate her right to rule except behind closed doors#so naturally the lords of the realm are going to look to the male heir because thats whats literally expected on all counts#plus rhaenyra setting herself to rule while like openly having bastards and having lovers - no trueborn velaryon-targ child to rule#like obviously isnt good#harwin is great but he has nothing to his name - while trueborn kids with laenor would have earned the blacks a lot more loyalty#given the velaryons' wealth and resources which would otherwise have swayed a lot more houses to their cause#len speaks
