Evelyn took a big role into ensuring that Gisella came into her home and to educate her as her own, and though she did her best to find a name and face to her birth mother, she had no luck. To her, Gisella’s parents were a mystery unsolved. She gave up on her fifteenth birthday and soon after, Gisella called Evelyn ‘Mother’, thing that warmed her.

The famous vampirologist and Gisella did not start with the right foot. She thought the man someone with bad intentions towards her, who was by then seven, and knocked the tall, strong man out by kicking him in the knee, making him collapse like dead weight, thing that impressed and slightly offended him, and also made him surer that she was a vampire.

They had to move from time to time so they wouldn’t call attention, exploring fully their vampirehood and liking for women.

Trivia

When she met Rex’s best friend Elias, she said “I’m Gisella, but many people know me as the little girl who kicked Reginald Brokenshire’s old arse.” which earned his favour and intrigue for this girl

She attended all of the Brokenshires weddings and helped the new members through marriage to feel more welcome

Despite the changing trend, she never cut her hair

She could find out alongside Gideon Brokenshire that her real name was Ysabeau at the age of 23

It was Evelyn who baptised her as Gisella and who convinced her to come with her at the estate. She was angry when she found out she was Rex’s wife and became sullen and angry

It was only when she saw him with his daughter Lillian and other female students that she slowly opened up to him, which resulted into a fatherly bond

She’s still alive during the MA events, which means she’s 100 years old
