INSPIRATION Automotive As a child I dived into car magazines, the great mixture of great journalism (particularly the lyrical LJK Setright of CAR magazine), the luscious photographs, and the technical analysis. Particularly the cutaway drawings, I am still enthralled by them. They are the combination of explaining technical and stylistic decisions in one drawing. I used to hrace these with my Rotring ink technical pens. Tracing over is still something I do as a process of understanding how things work. I fell in love with Lotus, Colin Chapman was a brillianttly inventive, "add lightness!". When the Esprit appears as a Bond car in The Spy Who Loved Me, I was immediately in love.
