Appreciation post for Sam's roommates. Gio and Francisco are so great, it's been an absolute blast having them around during the samathon and I really hope we get to see more of them going forward :D

Finally met Denisse! I really like her, and Paulina still needs to go.
The flashbacks always get me 😭 - it's giving me Bia vibes with how it's slowly unravelling the backstory.
I still need some explaining from California's mom...like where u been loca???

I laughed at Paulina's very Parent Trap (1998) moment of "me or them?" California would so team up with Morgan and Diego and strand Paulina in the middle of a lake on a mattress like in that movie😆
Felt bad for Morgan when Denisse was flirting with Diego, Morgan/Denisse could be a cute ship (albeit a bit trippy seeing Simón and Emilia like that). It's sweet Diego has it bad for California's mom too. But I really need them to find a better lady for Miguel...or dude, I'm not picky lol.
I love the ending - the 3 boys performing together is so good. They sound amazing and they're just having so much fun (both in and out of character).

Well! That was a cute set of shorts. I liked that. Very little substances, but fun little peeks into the lives of Anne and the Plantars. My favorite was the video game one--I thought the spritework was very cute, the chiptune rendition of the main theme was great, and I'd definitely play a Scott Pilgrim-esque Amphibia beatemup. After that, my second-favorite was the off-roading short. It was a cool look at the environments of the island they're on, and in particular I'd like to see them do a more in-depth spelunking of that cave.
That's it for Amphibia for today. Next, we'll be starting episode 5 of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts! I can't promise that will be today, but I'm going to try to get back in the daily-liveblog-at-noon habit. If it's not today, I will hopefully see you then tomorrow!

all episodes
episode 1
• i’m already emotional because i just watched the season 4 finale but it makes me so happy to see all of them again :’)
• idk why i’m realizing it just now but getting another ‘boy squad’ season with most of them at uni is the best case scenario i hadn't dared to imagine a few years ago
• martis face being the first thing i see is the universe giving me a present :)
• and in true skam italia fashion we're starting with a party scene. it’s still one of the things this show is excellent at
• being able to party any day of the week without having to worry about school in the morning is indeed one of the best things about that time
• noo elia stopping by the window at school where they used to hangout :(
• aw i already love this elia & filo roommate arrangement. wholesome!
• i love all of them being friends so much !! and it’s believable. one of the many advantages of marti’s season following eva’s. uniting the friend groups so early was so important for the unique feeling of the show
• elia i already love you, idk what to say.
• gio talking to elia in the car like dont lie to you mother!
• lmao the last scene. good thing i already know what this season is about because i dont know what i would have thought about that

• new school psychologist ?? well he definitely looks competent and like the opposite of the mess that was spera
• i love the shows commitment to have everyone live at filos apartment at one point. i’m not complaining, it obviously means they’ll have way more scenes together and i never look a gift horse in the mouth.
• aw that marti and elia hug reminds me of the earlier seasons. i love them <3

• skam italia always including the protagonists parents and having their issues feed into the conflict of the season is soo good
• the main guy being pressured by someone into helping out with some school activity is pretty funny tbh
• marti trying to help lol without really saying anything
• elia actually having to work while in school is a good decision. did any other characters do that? i don’t think so but i’m not sure
• omg the secret way into school ba chicco rodi 😂 insane idea, but also incredibly funny because schools definitely have these iconic forbidden stories that live on

• are they really not gonna show us who it is? i guess it’s his mom. it would explain the scene with his dad during dinner. but does that also mean his dad doesnt visit the grave because there are no fresh flowers

• this band performance is exactly how i remember band performances from school (they felt better when you were 18)

• a nico and elia scene yay but it should have been longer. why are these talks between characters so short… there is so much to talk about that would benefit them

• ok finally pls go talk to someone. hopefully he’ll get some wisdom from the psychologist

• a talk with luchino, finally, why aren’t with talking more? what even is going on with him
• elia actually apologizing to sana is something i wanted to see ever since her voice message to the girls in s4 where she complained about how lightly everyone takes it and how dumb it made her feel
• edo! on my rewatch i decided that he’s actually a hilarious character and should mostly be used for comedic purposes
• halloween party !!!
• where is gio? did i miss something
• a luca and edoardo scene was not on my bingo list
• marti and nico are celebrating their anniversary by going to the pool omg
• everyone casually revealing that marti tells every detail of his and nico’s first few weeks is so funny to me. he’s unbearable. if you think marti won’t tell you how many times they kissed on the first date you are a fool.
• the scene at the pool is actually so sweet 🥰
episode 7
• this season has so many scenes set at filo’s apartment and characters going in and out but i like it that way. actually i think it’s really good for elia to be surrounded by his friends while he’s the only one still in school and struggling. imagine him living with his dad….no
• oh no alessia that’s so terrible
• fede and elia scene ! i love that. and yes please let these kids realize what some of their behaviour is doing to others
• the other thing skam italia will always have is a fight
• OMG noo i was wondering why they brought up spera so much WHAT
• so is this wine thing real or just a story they tell. because i remember a scene with federica and wine….
episode 8
• the metal band members are actually really nice lol
• nico giving him a lift to school, such a small thing but i like it
• omg it’s elias moment. i love that he still doesn’t really care. i get it. don’t worry you’ll be out ouf there soon and able to move on
• yes talk about spera i want to know everything about this situation
• they did the right thing having a badass soundtrack for every time the girl squad enters a scene
• are gio and eva together because it doesn’t seem like it
• oh no oh no fede
episode 9
• why are the most interesting things happening at the end of the season
• filo and elia are very good together. i think fillippo basically works with every character that can put up with his sharp comments, that’s why he also worked well in earlier seasons with eleonora, marti and sana
• oh no is this about whatever elia found in his car
• the scene with elia telling the boys is great. skam italia actually did something here. smart choice. marti looks so hurt, basically grieving the idea of a person huh. and everyone hugging <33
• oh i’m tearing up at this 😭
• playing real ping pong now, i like that a lot
episode 10
• the scene with fede <333
• don’t tell me i’m gonna be emotional in every scene this episode because i can feel it
• elias calm demeanor and silent comfort when other people have problems is something i think about a lot (season 2 flashbacks)
• the speech during the last radio show :))))))))
• this made me realize how little sana we had this season. i know s4 was her season but still. elia needed an intelligent girl for some wise thoughts
• they’re honoring their elders by inviting chicco rodi
• ah the good old locking two people in a room trick
• everyone going to bracciano….. guys where the hell do you think you will fit. it was already full when only the girls and boys were there last season
• and that’s it. they wrapped up way more storylines from earlier seasons than i expected. i have so much more to say and rewatch etc but first i need to process
• i swear this season only made me want to spend more time with these characters, i love them all so much!!
• all in all skam italia season 5 good !!
