I think Gaz as an NCR ranger works with his story really well, having to figure out where he draws his lines, pushing against rules of engagement and orders from superiors, ultimately chasing after what he views as the greater good? That's a tight NCR story right there. I can see him as a synth ally through and through, he knows what it's like to be singled out based on something you can't control. He'd lend a hand to the railroad the same way I think he'd lend a hand to the minutemen.

I like the cowboy motif they got going out in the Mojave though... my brand....
