Fuming Geyser: A Torkoal of a Bygone Era!?
There have been sightings, deep down the rocky seaside cliffs of Paldea, of a strange creature called Fuming Geyser. A similar being was described in the Scarlet Book, hence the borrowing of its name.
The pool of boiling water in its rocky shell has prompted speculation that Fuming Geyser may be an ancestor of Torkoal from millions of years ago. However, there is little fossil evidence that Torkoal has ever carried water in its shell.

Iron Cauldron: The Energy Source of the Future!?
In the extreme corners of Paldea lies an odd creature known as Iron Cauldron, which gets its name from a strange vessel recorded in the Violet Book. Very few sightings of it have been reported, but it is said to resemble Torkoal.
The temperature of the liquid kept in the basin on its back is said to fluctuate by hundreds of degrees in a matter of seconds, causing some to theorize that it is a futuristic generator of sorts. When it heats up, its temperament appears to become more aggressive.

I love Lava Flow, so, so much! >w< She is just so cute! But I'm surprised she doesn't have any siblings, and I remember seeing an old post from you trying to figure out what kind of names to give any possible siblings for her... Well, I do have some ideas! (Thank you, random science knowledge) Geyser, Mudpot, Blue Lava, Ice Cauldron, Caldera, Flood Basalt, Lahar, Lava Channel, Hot Spring, Hydrothermal Vent, Cryovolcano, Lava Delta... There's more but well, character limit.
Thank you so much!! I love my girl a lot it makes me really happy that there's people who like her too 😭
and I do like some of those! Though, I have this like..."lore" behind it and why she doesn't have any bio siblings especially considering her parents'....escapades lol BUT I'm working on it still, so I COULD make it work that Fire Spirit and Sea Fairy could have another kid.............and I do still want to give her one
I actually considered Hydrothermal Vent before haha, but I'm not TOO sure what to do for it design wise. I had some vague ideas but never got anything down on paper.
I am VERY interested in Blue Lava though I have to look that up real qui-OH WAIT NO I remember I reblogged a post about that not too long ago!! It IS sulfur lava which would be pretty stinky I imagine lol but I could just Not include that part
Lahar sounds nice, lemme look up a couple more of these uuuh
Cryovolcano sounds badass tbh and would be neat to play with, and would also lean more toward Sea Fairy since it's water/ice related which would be cool since Ellie is more on the fire side. Lava Delta I also like the sound of and I could probably make some test designs for that!
Mudpot,,,,,also just sounds kinda cute haha
you've given me lots to think about and I lot of ideas to work with!! I really appreciate this! And I'd definitely like to hear the other suggestions! ❤️❤️

And About That Red Algae...
Before visiting the land of fire and ice, I spent time researching and reading about some of the must see wonders. Brimketill was one of the top items on my “to see” bucket list.
Who wouldn’t want to check out “Surfers Cauldrin” ?
Little did I know that I was in for a blistery surprise.
As the waves slammed along the volcanic coast, the winds were beyond what I have ever experienced. The naturally formed cauldrin would fill with water, with the waves breaking over its rim spraying ice cold water and crimson red algae chunks. It was indeed a majestic site but it is not a place to explore carelessly and without preparation. It can be quite dangerous -even on the viewing platform.

I would never imagine daring to swim in such as I was told that some do in the summertime.
You definitely do not want to miss seeing the dramatic natural show but be thoughtful of the season also. The wind can knock you off of your feet and the ocean along the peninsula is relentless. Be safe and dress accordingly for the unpredictable climate. The weather can change in an instant.
I was fascinated by the red algae. It’s stark bright contrast against the jagged volcanic rock was unlike anything I have ever seen along coastal regions. Seeing the red algae flying through the air as the rough waves crashed into the cauldron was bizarre and pretty cool. I learned that red algae is almost always found in our oceans and it is commonly found below kelp forests because it can survive with less light than other types of algae. Long ago, it was a common food source for the locals. Just recently, an unknown species of red algae was discovered there.

Next, I will share my geyser adventures!
