Guy Dexter died in his sleep in 1938; the will he had written leaving everything he owned to his travelling companion was declared invalid, and Thomas, penniless and in mourning, found himself living in the streets.

One day someone came to see him, having searched for him far and wide: a young blond man he did not immediately recognize, and who told him he would take care of Thomas as long as he needed.

"Please, do not look so surprised, mr. Barrow." the young man said with a smile as he took Thomas' hand "You would do the same for me, I am sure. Did you not say you would always be my friend wherever you were?"

Master George hearing Thomas and Richard chat about the royal household in the servant‘s hall late at night and then insisting that 'Mr. Barrows new friend' should visit more often and instead of Mr. Barrow reading him a bedtime story, Mr. Ellis should tell him stories about the king.

Because Mr. Barrows friends are automatically his friends as well. And Mr. Barrow deserves to be told a story as well.

And Thomas almost bursting into tears because he feels so moved and Richard putting a hand on Thomas‘ knee under the table, smiling at George and telling him there‘s nothing he‘d rather do.

Hovering outside the nursery, Mary turned on hearing footsteps coming towards her. She put her finger to her lips as Tom got closer before peeking back through the small gap in the doorway.

Tom arrived behind her, peering over her shoulder.

‘What’s going on? Why all the secrecy?’ he whispered, seeing Sybbie standing in the middle of the room, jaw set, hands on her hips.

‘It’s not right!’ she cried, passionately.

‘There’s a rebellion going on in the nursery,’ Mary whispered over her shoulder. ‘And your daughter is right at the heart of it.’

‘A rebellion? What sort of rebellion?’ Tom asked, curiously.

‘She can’t do this to us!’ Sybbie continued, her cousins sitting in a row in front of her, gazing up at her with rapt faces.

‘From what I can gather, Sybbie’s rousing the troops against Nanny,’ Mary murmured, watching delightedly through the gap.

‘Why? What’s Nanny done?’

‘And we’re not going to let her get away with this, are we?’ Sybbie cried.

‘No!’ George hollered back making Marigold jump beside him.

‘Apparently, she’s laid down the law about the children eating all their vegetables,’ Mary explained.

‘Sybbie likes vegetables.’

‘Including sprouts,’ Mary said, darkly.

‘Oh,’ Tom winced, recalling his daughter’s visceral and vocal dislike of sprouts.

‘Exactly.’

‘It’s not fair! She can’t take our toys away!’ Sybbie barked.

‘She’s taken their toys away?’ Tom asked, frowning.

Mary nodded. ‘She’s holding their favourite toys hostage until they clear their plates.’

‘Oh, right,’ Tom said, grinning. ‘Ruthless.’

‘She’s certainly not taking any prisoners,’ Mary agreed. ‘But then neither is Sybbie.’

‘We’re not eating them! Are you with me?’ Sybbie thundered, clenched fist held aloft.

‘Yes!’ George yelled.

‘I don’t know who she reminds me of more – you or Sybil,’ Mary said, fondly.

‘Definitely Sybil,’ Tom said, proud as punch.

'Downton Abbey' effectively ended for me with Matthew and Lady Mary Crawley gazing down lovingly at their baby. I refuse to believe Matthew is dead, no way in hell he would have left his family a second time. That scene in the hospital is a kind of culmination of their lovestory. Nothing can cheapen it.

Yes they all live happily ever after...

End scene.... End of show.

I've been at this since Father's Day! I think about George not knowing his father. And it breaks my heart every time I think about it. Then I remember how Mr Molesley was telling his version of the film in a New Era. God, I hope he was able to tell George about Mr Matthew Crawley, through his eyes with as much passion!

I also wanted to add a little text, to set the context. I haven't written in years. I'm a bit rusty! As usual, backgrounds are not my specialty! x_x

“Clutching his father's stuffed animal to his chest, George Crawley walks the Servant’s hall, ignoring house maids and other hall boys in the same hurry as him, getting out of his way at the last second. The golden-haired boy was looking for Mr Molesley, an important question on his mind.

After the departure of the King and Queen of Downton Abbey, the former footman was gaving a final helping hand to his former colleagues.

Finally, he saw the professor, who had put on his footman livery for the royal visit, about to take tea upstairs.

Not hesitating for a second, the young boy called out to him and asked, straight to the point ;

“Mr Molesley, can you tell me about my father?”

After all, the former footman was previously his father's valet.

And we all know that Mr Molesley will make Matthew Crawley's story the most exciting one for the boy.”

French version, because English is not my first language. I hope it remains clear though!

“Serrant contre sa poitrine la peluche de son père, George Crawley parcourt le hall des servants, ignorant house maids et autres hall boys, tout aussi pressés que lui, s’écartant de son passage à la dernière seconde. Le garçon aux cheveux doré cherchait après Monsieur Molesley, une question importante en tête.

Après le départ du Roi et de la Reine de Downton Abbey, l’ancien footman donnait un ultime coup de main à ses anciens collègues.

Enfin il aperçoit le professeur, qui a revêtit sa tenue de footman le temps de la visite Royale, qui s’apprêtait à monter le thé à l’étage.

N’hésitant pas une seule seconde, le jeune garçon l’interpèle et lui demande, allant droit au but ;

“Monsieur Molesley, pouvez-vous me parler de mon père ?”

Après tout, l’ancien footman était, avant ça, valet de son père.

Et nous savons tous que Monsieur Molesley fera le récit de Matthew Crawley le plus passionnant des récits aux yeux du petit garçon.”

Been seeing people on Twitter react to the apparent Jaehaera casting. A lot of them are saying the girl playing her looks more like Ewan than Tom. Similar facial structure & eyes too. Typically I’d be like “meh it doesn’t matter” but the show has been pretty on point with the casting & making everyone look like they’re actually family so far. Possible Aemond/Hel crumb? Curious to hear your thoughts!

I mean, she definitely looks like Helaena.

Also, may I point out while we're all here ... goddamn is Helaena beautiful, I mean, look at her! I bet a lot of her appeal is that she is snuggly ... that and her rock star breasts ...

Anyway.

I'd need more concrete proof than that to be convinced that she's Aemond's kid.

Listen, I've maintained, since the beginning, that I'm all in on Helaemond from the moment I saw them standing together in the 1x08 promo pics. But I am just not in the Aemond is Jaehaerys and Jaehaera's father camp. I just don't see any mechanism for it.

The truth of the matter is that two siblings having children together makes them super saturated in the genetics of their grandparents. So, it would stand to reason, that regardless, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera would look like Aemond anyway, cause they're all basically sharing the same genes.

And plus, nieces and nephews looking like their aunts and uncles isn't that uncommon. There all sorts of real world examples of nieces looking like uncles and Nephews being the spitting image of their aunts.

Hell, even in my Downton Abbey Extended Universe, George Crawley as a teenager and adult is described as being the masculine twin to his Aunt Lady Sybil Crawley, that's how much he looks like her- same eyes, hair, bone structure, and personality.

(Exhibit A)

That doesn't mean that he's secretly Sybil's child. It just means that he is lined up squarely in Lady Mary's genetic make-up rather than Matthew's.

The Viserys/Alicent genes are just dominant, because ... well, there aren't any other genes in the twins. So I would say that not only would Jaehaera and Jaehaerys look like Aemond, they should also look like Daeron as well - that is if A+C=D rumor isn't true.
