actually i have to talk about how vital yossarians sexuality is in catch 22 and how, despite how the hulu show is the best adaptation of the novel, still manages to almost completely ignore it in favor of the infidelity between yossarian and scheisskopf’s wife. which, is still a vital plot point, but to favor that almost completely over the relationship him and the chaplain share has me insaneeeee especially because of how prevalent homosexuality was among all branches of the U.S. military due to how young and inexperienced many of the drafted men (and women) were. like he CONSTANTLY calls orr a very handsome and attractive man, the most beautiful out of the entire battalion. it’s wild to me that it is never explored bc of geo.rge clo.oney’s homophobic ass

In case you are curious about what it's been like living in Minnesota the past year, I think this sums it up pretty well.
#there were a lot of legitimate protests in the wake of geo.rge flo.yds murder but people took it as a 'oh cool we can do this whenever'#people started shutting down streets and looting a target after a guy committed suicide with a gun while fleeing from cops last year#HE WAS A MURDER SUSPECT BTW AND HE KILLED HIMSELF#and people were outraged and started looting shit. its like ????????#nobody waits for any facts now. they just jump to it and its like hang on plz wait 5 minutes#and then c.ops keep quitting in mass bc they are so sick of being treated like garbage whenever they go#and then people have the nerve to be like WHY ARENT THE C.OPS DOING THEIR JOB. THIS IS WHY ACAB#and its like THEY SHOW UP TO SHO.OTING SCENES AND NOBODY WANTS TO COOPERATE WITH THEM? THEY GET SCREAMED AT CONSTANTLY FOR EXISTING?#WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? alright, alright alright. just got back from seeing 1917 and I can say with absolute certainty now, that in this year of 2020, I am still madly in love with Geo.rge Mac.Kay. Also, it was an amazing film!
