i hate fandoms with all my heart

How can people be so passionate about something that isn’t real??? Here’s something that someone in a fandom (Let’s say... six of crows) would probably say:

“oh my good lord my sweet baby boy kaz he is such a smol bean protect him at all costs my precious little cinnamon roll lol headcanon kaz is a cinnamon roll underneath his bad boy facade B)”

and im not exaggerating. you may think “oh my good lord that isn’t me at all kaz brekker is such a bad person i just like that book cause it’s DIVERSE” but... it probably is you. sorry. it’s annoying to me but other people love it when people talk like that. maybe it’s because it isn’t relatable for me. i like the character kaz brekker but i’ve always thought he was just a character. nothing special.

but those words! so annoying! so abundant! why do you care that much!

and here’s another thing. thinking back to the “DIVERSE” thing I said earlier while pretending to be someone in denial...

everyone who is in a fandom tries to make it lgbt or all about diversity.

sometimes a book is not that.

sometimes people are straight (omg.....)

diversity is good, but if that’s the only thing you like about a book then you... really... probably don’t like it as much as your vocabulary of “smol bby boy” and “smol bean” would suggest.

and the making it gay. just......... look at a few musicals. (sure. i like musicals.)

i was listening to Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet Of 1812 earlier and i saw this comment on Pierre & Andrey: (im not quoting it exactly because i don’t remember what it said)

“anyone else kinda ship these two”

uh...... no! good lord this is the only song they have together and they are discussing one’s ex fiancee how is that romantic in the slightest!!!!

you may be thinking “woah good lord calm down let people have their fun”

NO. I WON’T LET THEM HAVE THEIR FUN IF IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!! REPEAT IT AFTER ME: NOT EVERYONE IS GAY. NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE GAY. IF A CHARACTER IS GAY... THEN THEY ARE GAY. IF THEY ARE FLINGING SPARKS EVERYWHERE WITH A CHARACTER OF THE SAME SEX BUT IT DOESN’T SAY THEY’RE GAY, THEN YOU CAN HAVE YOUR FUN AND ASSUME THEY ARE GAY. BUT DON’T SAY THAT TWO CHARACTERS WHO HAPPEN TO APPEAR TOGETHER ARE GAY THEY HAVE NO CHEMISTRY OR ANYTHING YOU JUST WANT TO HAVE A HOMOSEXUAL MASTER RACE.

im not homophobic or anything. i promise. a few of my good friends are gay and i couldn’t care less. i just get.............. so..................... tired of extreme gaybies wanting everyone to be gay. it! is! okay! if! not! everyone! is! like! you!

and my last thing is fanart.

not the fanart itself, most of it is tame and very nice looking

but it’s the captions

let’s say you have a photo of.. uhh... johnny from the outsiders ( *spoiler* before he died) smoking a cigarette with ponyboy.

the caption would probably say something like “buds smoking a weed together. love the outsiders.”

okay. you just gave us a caption of what the photo is of! mostly everyone can tell that that is what the photo is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and that’s really it. i’ve been typing away for 10 minutes about this and i am only getting more worked up.

of course, i have problems with fanfiction, cosplay, and all that good stuff.

and you can disagree with me. i was a little passionate about this. you can be a little passionate about disagreeing with me. you might say something like “well just let people be!! it isn’t hurting you!! they’re having fun”

yeah. i agree. it ain’t hurting me one bit. but it is annoying me and i wanted to speak up about it! and if you want to speak up about me annoying you go ahead :) i dont really care if you do or do not like me or if you did or did not read this.

even if i do care about fandoms because they fuel this burning hatred inside of me.

tl;dr: i don’t like fandoms and it’s okay if you disagree with me.
