my soul has changed? - will smith au
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wc: 1.4k
tw: depression, suggestion of an ED, awkwardness? mean girl.
will smith x oc celebrini sister!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
april celebrini was in a point of her life where everything felt still. she was pretty sure she was suffering from depression and it was a cycle she didn't know how to get out of.
she would wake up, go to school, go to work, and then sleep. she was lucky if she fitted a meal in between that meant she had lost tons of weight.
she had been a pretty healthy teen, she played hockey up until high school alongside her brothers; but when the time came to play college hockey, she got no offers. contributing to her depression.
it was a sport she held so much love and dedication, she couldn't understand why she hadn't been good enough? I mean her brothers were good enough, they got college offers. macklin was even projected to go first overall, so why couldn't she?
those were thoughts that were constantly haunting her mind. if she found something to forget them they would flood back in, like if they wanted her to be a lifeless doll she had been feeling like.
her family had been really worried for her. she had finally seen her brothers after a year, at the NCCAA playoffs and it only caused them to worry more.
flashbacks
april knew that macklin and aiden were gonna bombard her with questions as soon as they were alone. they could hardly recognize her. growing up she was always a smiling person with a big personality and now she was about forty pounds lighter and was a ghost of the person she used to be.
"april what's going on" macklin said shutting the door behind him.
"what do you mean"
"cut the bullshit. I know your not okay, you barley answer my text anymore, what's wrong"
"it's nothing mack-"
"no it's not nothing, maybe I can fix it-
"you cant 'fix' it"
"and why not-"
"because I don't know what wrong with me!"
that had been about two weeks ago. she just didn't know what to tell her family. she really didn't understand why she had been feeling that way.
she was currently at work where she was a barista in a cute coffee shop. she honestly loved working there, she had got the job when she was in high school and had kept it till college. seeing as she didn’t move far away for college, choosing to stay close to her parents.
she often wondered if she might be happier if she moved away just like everyone else did, just like her brothers did. but it would always end in her telling herself; that it's not worth dwelling on.
it was currently six am and at this time of day there weren’t many customers. the cafe was always busy mid day when people were looking to find somewhere to study.
so she was surprised when she turned the open side around, to find a boy waiting outside to come in. a boy who looked a lot like will smith.
april wasn’t an idiot to hockey, she kept up with it a fairly good amount, so she would have to be living under a rock to not know the guy who dominated the ice at her brothers rivalry school.
that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to act like she didn’t know him.
he reached for the handle and took a look at her before turning as red as a tomato and blushing,
“hey, are you guys open?” he asked nervously, mentally slapping himself because he just saw her turn the sign around, to ‘open’
“uhm yeah I’ll be with you in a sec” she told him.
will couldn’t help but think her voice was cute. she had a rasp to it that made him want to give her everything she’s ever wanted.
april finished up, putting the coffee too brew and turned to the counter.
“okay! order when your ready”
“uhm. i actually never been here before… any recs?” he asked after a moment nervously scratching his neck.
“well I get a dirty chai, but considering my brothers hate it, you might hate it too… I guess you might like a frap?” she told him, a little too monotone.
“yeah okay” he told her again nervously. he found her to be breathtakingly beautiful.
he paid and stood back as she got to making the drink.
“you from here?” will asked hoping to make small talk.
“uhm kinda. I was born in Vancouver but moved here when my dad got a job”
will panicked. oh god was she still in highschool
april must of saw the worry on his face because she added,
“that was a couple years ago, im eighteen now” she said smiling at his face. something she didn’t do often anymore.
“oh, i’m eighteen too”
“oh yeah, what brings you to san jose, school?” she said innocently knowing very well he was drafted here and was most likely here to work on development.
“no. I”m came to meet with some people here. I go to boston college” he answered. april starting to not feel so bad because she saw he didn’t want to right away say he was a hockey player.
“far from home huh”
“yeah, i’m literally across the country from everything and everybody i’ve ever known” he told her wanting to slap himself. did she need to know that!?!
“i’m sorry. it’ll get easier” she said remembering her brother had been homesick too but utimatly started feeling better after some time-- as she handing him his drinks and gave him a sympathetic face.
“yeah i hope so, i should be moving here soon, if everything goes right” he said as he took a sip.
“hey this is good!” he said taking another sip as april smiled. something that will thought looked amazing on her.
april smiled at him remembering the fact her brothers liked that drink. boys were so typical
“i’m glad… and hey— if you ever need a friend in town my names april” she told him as she held her hand out to him to shake.
will starred at it for a moment before he quickly met her hand.
“will” he told the girl with a smile.
they were cut out of there moment when two customers walked in.
“I should get back to work. i’ll see you around will” she told him as he smiled a nodded and walked right out.
say something! ask for my number! do anything!
april felt really dumb after she basically just presented herself in a silver platter to the boy and he didn’t finish his part in asking for her number. he had definitely rejected her in the nicest way someone possibly could.
meanwhile will got into the Uber with a gitty feeling. she seemed really cool and having someone to hang out with other than his teammates was going to be so nice.
he was midway into the meeting with some general managers when he realized he didn’t even ask for her number.
“oh my god” he mumbled as he came to the realization
"i'm sorry?" one of the GM's said confused.
“uhh— I said I was excited to join the franchise!” he covered up, feeling like an idiot.
hopefully she was still there after the meeting.
the meeting had gone a little to long for his liking and as he raced down to the coffee shop he hoped she was working a long shift.
he opened the door to see a blonde girl who looked old but yet looked young, and a taller boy with curly hair working behind the counter.
“hi. is april working today?” he said breathlessly
the blonde eyed him for a moment before smirking,
“I don't recall an april ever working here...my name samantha though” she said with a face that will knew was a face of someone who was lying.
“yes there is, she helped me earlier-"
“if your here to file a complaint against her, I can totally help you then,” she said
“no she was great— wait, you said you didn’t know an april-“
“your looking for april” the other barista cut in
“yeah she was here earlier, i was hoping she was still here”
“she got off like two hours ago but i can give you her number!” the curly haired boy told will. he was one of aprils friends and he wasn’t going to ruin this opportunity for her.
“you totally can’t do that!” the blonde girl said in a nasally voice.
“shutup samantha. go take candy from a baby or something” he sassily told her.
she rolled her eyes before walking away to wipe a table down.
“sorry about her, here’s her number— good luck!”
“thankyou so much” he told him as he thought about what exactly to text the pretty girl.
both april and will not knowing the epic love story they were about embark on.

you were the only thing on gabe’s mind as he finished up with classes for the day. he trudged his way towards your dorm with the only thing he wanted was to crawl into your bed and fall asleep. finals drained everything out of him, especially since he had so much studying to catch up on after missing class due to being at the frozen four. he knew he needed a break though and you were the perfect pit stop before the library where he’d drown himself in his textbooks for the rest of the night.
he typed a quick message to you to let you know he would be at your dorm in five minutes so you could let him in. you responded almost immediately saying you would head down. gabe couldn’t fight the smile creeping onto his lips knowing he got to see you in 50 steps. it was hard to find time together with your busy schedules, so the boy was grateful both of you had some free time.
he could see you standing by the door as he got closer, your own smile painting your lips when you spotted your boyfriend coming. gabe widened his stride to cut the walk down, scooping you into his arms as soon as he was close enough.
“hi baby,” you smiled into his shoulder.
“hi, so good to see you,” the dark-haired boy pecked your lips before leading him inside.
his fingers intertwined with yours while you waited for the elevator to come back down. “how was class?” your eyes found his again.
“it was fine. just tired is all,” the boy mumbled. you squeezed his hand tighter knowing how much studying he’s been doing to make up for the days he missed last week.
you rode up to your room in comfortable silence and as soon as you opened up the door, gabe’s backpack was on the ground, shoes off, and he climbed into your bed without much warning. he snuggled himself into the covers while you giggled as his behavior.
“tired much?” you laughed, kicking your own shoes off to join the sleepy hockey player.
“i told you,” gabe mumbled. he reached out for you, bringing you to lay on his chest as you got yourself comfortable beside him.
“how’s studying?” you brushed his loose curls away from his forehead.
“fine. feels like i missed a whole semester with how much i’m trying to teach myself,” gabe frowned.
“i mean, you did kind of miss a lot of class for games. i can always help you too,” you grinned, always glad to help your boyfriend study (as long as he didn’t distract both of you whenever you did study together).
“i know. i hate asking you though knowing you have a lot to study for too,” he always made sure he put you first. you rolled your eyes a bit.
“you should know that i’m weeks ahead already. maybe we can go to the library after a bit?” you suggested.
“sounds perfect,” gabe pulled you closer, wanting to lay in your bed for as long as he could.

gabe perreault imagine please 🙏🙏
long time coming | gabe perreault 💌🌊⭐️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gabe perreault x fem!reader
summary: you're sick and the only person who can cure you is your best friend, gabe!
warning(s): fluff, fluff, fluff
author's note: eee this is my first gabe fic! thank u anon for suggesting him, i was in a huge writers slump so ty ty ty! enjoy!
You had heard stories of people falling in love with their best friend; it happened to your parents, your older sister and her boyfriend, all of your cousins, but to you, love just felt unattainable, like maybe you were the exception. The love bug skipped a generation and was already preparing for the next—but now? Now you felt it. You felt it crawl underneath your skin and bubble in your stomach. You felt your chest tighten and the heat rise to your cheeks.
You were in love, true love.
“Gabe,” you groaned over the phone, his breathing sounding staticy over the line. You had been sick for a few days, only a slight cough and an itchy throat, but today felt 10 times worse. Your stomach was aching, your head felt like it was getting hit by a basketball every couple of seconds, and you sniffled so frequently you were sure that something was going to go up the wrong pipe and straight up to your brain.
And you felt bad, not only because of your illness, but because it was nearly 2 AM and you could hear Gabe shuffle underneath his dark blue sheets in the dorm he shared with his best friend, Will Smith. You knew it was late and this was wrong. I mean, the boy had a game against Boston University in the morning, now was not the time to wake him, but you just didn’t know what to do. You felt like you were dying and all you needed was one of Gabe’s famous hugs and maybe a back rub (he was really good at those).
“Hey,” he said quietly, trying not to wake the snoring Will on the other side of the room. His eyes were fighting to stay open, determined not to lean onto his fluffy white pillow and fall back to sleep. “You okay?”
You sniffled, grabbing another tissue from the box that laid beside your bed. “I feel like I’m dying,” you responded, your voice sounding congested and nasally—not in the slightest like your normal tone.
You could hear shuffling on the other side of the phone. Then, you could hear keys jangling and his closet door opening, a hoodie getting thrown over his body, and then the door to his dorm being pulled open. You wanted to protest because you knew what he was doing, where he was going, but you had no energy to speak. Instead, your stubborn voice turned to loud coughs that made Gabe want to pull you in his arms and hold you until they faded into oblivion.
But he couldn’t. It was too much for you. It would be weird. You wouldn’t feel the same. It was the exact same thing he’s been telling himself for months (really what he’s been telling himself since the moment he met you). It would ruin your guys’ friendship and you will never want to speak to him again. If only he could hear your thoughts because then, maybe he’d be thinking differently, and it wouldn’t be so hard.
Three soft knocks on the door of your dorm signaled exactly what you suspected would happen. Gabe was your best friend and if he caught the flu, you would be there holding his hand and making him a bowl of chicken noodle soup. If you were crying about a failed test, he would buy you ice cream and agree to watch countless episodes of The Bachelor until you were feeling okay again. One time you were sick with Covid and Gabe didn’t even care. He stayed with you during quarantine, snuggled under mountains of blankets, watching movies until you were sick of them, and gossiping about anyone and anything. It wasn’t a surprise that he caught the sickness a couple days later. Your moms laughed about the memory, finding it endearing that you two loved each other so much that you were willing to be sick together.
Gabe settled some medicine on your bedside table before lifting your light pink covers and crawling into bed with you. You fit perfectly into his arms, like this spot was made just for you. Despite your sweaty forehead and aching body, he held you tightly, placing small kisses on the crown of your head. Your parents had always joked about you two getting married someday, but sometimes you wished that it was real; that you would grow old with him and live in a big white house with a white picket fence and a large rose garden in the backyard. You truly couldn’t see your life with anyone else.
But that was silly. Gabe was your best friend. That would just be weird—right?
“I’m sorry,” you whispered. He walked all the way from his building to yours in the middle of the night despite having a ginormous game tomorrow. He felt unreal, like how could a person be so perfect and somehow be yours?
“Don’t be,” his words were just as soft. His chin resting on the top of your head as yours fit in the space between his neck and shoulder, leaving delicate kisses on his adams apple. This isn’t what best friends do, you told yourself. Best friends don’t kiss each other. Best friends don’t cuddle underneath sheets and hold hands to “warm each other up.” It was confusing and you hated it. You hated not knowing how he was feeling when you knew exactly how you felt about Gabe.
“You didn’t have to come here.”
“You called.”
You laughed. “That doesn’t mean anything. You could’ve stayed in bed and slept longer and had good dreams and—”
“Hey,” he smiled down softly at you, lifting your chin to look up at him. His hand lingered there for a while, not wanting to move away from you. There was something about you that made Gabe want to be closer and closer. There was something that made him want to parade you around campus, telling everyone that you were his. He wanted to see you in his jersey and kiss you after games and hold you tight at parties. He wanted to take you with him to New York when he plays for the Rangers after college and introduce you to his family as his girlfriend instead of just his best friend. Gabe was ready for more, but he hated thinking that you might not be. “I wasn’t just going to let you die, okay?”
You rolled your eyes. “Yeah, like that one time you pushed me down that water slide at Hurricane Harbor.”
“Pft, you wanted to go down that.”
You chuckled incredulously. “There is no way you just said that.”
“‘Oh, Gabe, please take me on this waterslide. I’ve been dying to go with you.’”
“I don’t sound like that.”
He grinned. “Yeah, you sound like this,” he said, pinching his nose with his fingers, his voice sounding blocked and nasally.
You pushed his hands away, hiding your face in his clothed chest. “Shut up.”
“C’mon, you love it.”
“I will fight you.”
He ran his hand up and down your arm, your eyes fluttering closed and your breathing steadying. He held you tighter, wrapping both arms around you and snuggling deeper into the bed. His last words before you fell into hypnosis lingered in your mind as you couldn’t even escape your lovestruck dreams of the perfect boy. “Keep telling yourself that, sicko.”
By the time the sun rose, you were sure that he would be gone; that his hoodie would be collected from the carpet, that his legs would no longer be intertwined with yours, and that his belongings would be gone, but he was still there and you were still in his arms and everything was still perfect. His breathing was soft and slow, his little curls were a bit tussled, his cheeks were pale, and you wondered what he was dreaming about that left a ghost of a smile on his face.
You wanted to wake up like this everyday and everyday after that. So yeah, maybe you were in love. Maybe you were in deep. And maybe you were ready to tell him.
He rustled around before lifting his eyes open, his smile growing wider when he saw your pink face, knowing he caught you staring at him as you glanced around the room, trying not to make eye contact with the boy.
“Feeling better?” he asked, turning to his side and facing you.
A strand slipped through your loose ponytail and settled on the front of your face, covering your eyes as he allowed his hands to work faster than his mind. He slowly brought his hand up, carefully moving the strand behind your ear. And you would expect the moment to be over but when his hand lingered on your cheek, his thumb lightly running over the smooth skin of your face, you knew that maybe just maybe there could be something more.
You nodded slowly. “I’m okay.”
“I’m glad. I hate seeing my girl sick,” he spoke softly as if speaking any louder would shatter the calming atmosphere.
My girl. You wanted to allow your mind to toss and turn, investigate the meaning behind those two words, search for his thought-process, his feelings, anything, but for the first time in forever, you felt serene and calm with him. You didn’t feel the need to wonder what this meant for the two of you. You were perfectly content where you were now, where you were going, and what you were going to do next.
You placed your hand on his chest, feeling his heart beat fast yet gentle. His eyes wandered down to your place of connection and when they met yours again, you could’ve sworn you saw something: a spark, hope, clarity, confirmation.
And when he leaned in, holding your face close with the hand still resting on your cheek, his lips hovering over yours, desperate to connect, you knew nothing would be the same. He would never be just your best friend anymore. And you were perfectly okay with that.
As Gabe leaned in, his lips met yours in a tender, yet passionate kiss. It was a moment that felt suspended in time, where every sensation was heightened—the warmth of his touch, the softness of his lips, the racing of your heart. In that instant, all doubts melted away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of certainty and bliss.
The kiss deepened, as if both of you were pouring all the unspoken feelings and desires into this one act. Your hands found their way to his hair, fingers threading through the soft strands as you pulled him closer, wanting to feel every part of him against you. His arms tightened around you, pulling you impossibly closer as if he never wanted to let go.
Time seemed to stand still as you lost yourselves in each other, the outside world fading into insignificance. When you finally broke apart, breathless and flushed, you found yourselves gazing into each other's eyes, the realization of what had just happened sinking in. But there was no fear, no uncertainty, only a profound sense of connection and joy.
“I’m sick,” you said, making Gabe chuckle softly. Of course your first words after a long-anticipated kiss would be that. But that’s what Gabe loved about you. You were you in every sense of the word. You are the reason his stomach hurts from laughing every time he comes back to his dorm, staring into space as he thinks about your giggle and your smile and your stupid humor. You are everything. You’re the world.
I just kissed the world, Gabe thought. My girl.
With a smile that spoke volumes, Gabe whispered, "I don’t care."
“You will when you get sick.”
“And will you be here? When I get sick?” he asked, his thumb running back and forth on the exposed space of skin on your pelvis.
You nodded. You would be there for him through anything no matter what. “Always.”
“Then I’m okay with it.”
And in that moment, as you nestled into his embrace once more, you knew that the stories were real and true; that love is real and true, because you just fell in it and you couldn’t be happier.

i feel you like the rain | gabe perreault
Tumblr media
word count: 0.98k
summary: when you get caught in a downpour without a jacket or umbrella, gabe offers to share his.
warnings: literally none? one curse word, awkward dialogue?
notes: two gabe fics and they both involve the rain... n e wayz hope you enjoy :)
Over and over, you kept mentally cursing yourself. You looked out the library’s front doors, watching the rain pour down relentlessly. Puddles were forming on the pathway, creating a water obstacle course for the passing students.
Spring was fast approaching, with temperatures steadily rising in the city. It was the first time this semester that the temps had gotten high enough that you could leave your dorm without wearing a coat. But, the spring climate in Boston was unpredictable. You’d sworn when you checked the weather app this morning it showed nothing but sunshine until midnight.
However, you now stood in the lobby of the library, watching the rain soak the Boston College campus. You were stuck 15 minutes away from your dorm without a jacket or an umbrella.
You hoped that maybe it was going to clear up in the next few minutes, or at least subside slightly, allowing you to get back without completely drenching yourself, however, the dark looming clouds and consistent downpour showed no signs of letting up. You’d concluded that you were just going to have to make a run for it and risk getting soaked. The thought of that made you want to cry. You were wearing a brand-new sweater and had just curled your hair that morning. By the time you’d reached your dorm, you would’ve ruined your hair and potentially also your new sweater.
You had one hand on the door handle, trying to brace yourself. Maybe if you ran you could limit the amount of water damage you and your belongings would endure. You had just prepared yourself for having to sprint back to your dorm when a voice startled you.
“Hey, you need an umbrella?” said a boy standing next to you, holding up an umbrella.
You hadn’t noticed him approach, being surprised by his sudden presence. He donned a Boston College-branded rain jacket, obviously being better prepared for the weather than you were. His kind smile made you want to accept the offer, however you didn’t want to inconvenience him.
“No, it’s okay.” You say, shaking your head.
His eyebrows furrow as he lets out a chuckle. “You sure about that? It’s pouring out there.”
You shake your head again. “I can’t. We’re probably not heading in the same direction anyway. I don’t want to inconvenience you.”
“Where are you headed?” He asked.
“Back to my dorm, I’m at Duschene Hall.” You reply.
He pulls a surprised face. “Woah, what a coincidence! I’m heading there too.” He grins, eyes flashing a mischievous twinkle.
You knew he was lying, but that he wasn’t going to give up and let you walk alone in the rain. You cave, accepting his offer, as it is better than getting soaked to the bone. You stepped out into the rain, the boy opening up his umbrella and holding it above the two of you.
“I’m Gabe, by the way.” He says.
“I’m y/n.” You say.
“So, y/n, what were you doing at the library today anyways?” He asks.
You were among the only students in the library today due to the weather. Up until an hour ago, the sun had been brightly shining, most students deciding to forgo any pending assignments to enjoy the brief bit of summer peaking through.
You chuckle softly, adjusting the bag on your shoulder. “Studying, actually. I have a test next week.”
“Oh, an academic I see.” Gabe teases. “What’s your major?”
“History. How about you?”
“Communications.”
A gust of wind blew, causing you to shiver. Your sweater was knit allowing the wind to cut right through, pricking at your skin. Gabe shrugged off his backpack, sliding out of his jacket. “Here, take this. You must be freezing.” Gabe says, extending you his jacket.
“Oh my god, no I can’t take your jacket.” You shake your head. “You’re already doing enough by sharing your umbrella with me.”
“No, seriously, I insist. I think you might get pneumonia if you don’t take it.” Gabe says.
You roll your eyes at his dramatic statement, another gust coming in. Now physically shivering, your arms hugging your torso not warming you up as you hoped, you accepted his jacket. As you slipped into the jacket, warmth and the scent of his cologne that lingered on the jacket enveloped you.
As you continued your conversation, the rain continued to fall around you. You became grateful for Gabe’s cheery company on the dreary walk home. When the dorms were in your sight, you attempted to tell Gabe he was good to leave you there and he could go back on his planned path. However, Gabe insisted on walking you to the door.
“Thank you again for walking me home.” You said, smiling gratefully at Gabe. “I don’t know how to repay you.”
Gabe paused for a moment, his eyes meeting yours with a hint of mischief. "How about letting me take you out on a date?"
You were slightly taken aback by his question but despite that, you found yourself grinning and nodding. “Yeah, I’d like that.”
Gabe’s shoulders relax at your response. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone, giving it to you to put your number in. As you typed your digits into his phone, you felt a flutter of excitement in your chest. Maybe getting caught in the rain wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

Can you do a Gabe imagine pls? Can it be a childhood friend's trope pls?
For as long as you could remember, Gabe Perreault had been a constant in your life. You had met in first grade, the curly haired boy coming up to you, with your tiny pigtails, and insisting he sat next to you. What came next was a friendship that had only grown stronger as each year passed.
You went to every hockey game of Gabe’s that you possibly could, and tagging along on each other's family vacations.
You weren’t sure when things shifted, but ever since you had arrived at Boston College for freshman year, something had been different. A good, but also scary different.
Seeing girls flirt with him makes her sick now. A year ago, she would’ve given him a thumbs up and a smile as encouragement, but now she can’t stomach it.
——
It’s a Friday night, and instead of going out to a party, you’re sitting in Conte Forum, watching Gabe’s hockey game, just like every weekend they have a home game. You’re his so-called ‘Good Luck Charm’, deemed when the one game you didn’t go to ended in a loss for Boston College.
Ever since then, you were to be present at every Boston College hockey game, with Gabe’s jersey on, per order of him, Ryan, and Will.
You make your way over to the locker game to see Gabe, like every time. Media is done, and Gabe should be walking out the door any minute now.
“Y/N!” Ryan shouts, running over to you. You spot the familiar brown curls walking behind him, and your stomach flips. “Did you see my goal? It was so sick, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah, it was cool.” You respond halfheartedly, meeting Gabe’s eyes. Ryan shoots you a knowing look, but you swat him.
“Gabe-o!” You shout, throwing your arms around him. His arms go around your waist, steadying the both of you. Butterflies erupt in your stomach. “You looked like a rockstar out there!”
“Thank’s Y/N/N. You brought us good luck, just like I said you would,” His arms are still around your waist, and the butterflies are multiplying rapidly. “The team and girlfriends are going to the bar tonight, you in?” He looks down at you, and you look up at him.
“Sounds fun. I should probably change out of this though, put on something nicer.” You point down at the jersey.
“Oh, you don’t wanna wear my jersey to the bar?” He mocks fake hurt, his million dollar smile spreading across his face.
“I don’t think this exactly screams ‘bar attire’, so I’m gonna have to say no.” You giggle.
“Fair enough. We can swing by your dorm and then head over.”
“Perfect.”
——
The bar is crowded, and Gabe has a tight grip on your hand, in order to not lose you. He’s deep in conversation with Ryan, while you are talking to Ryan’s girlfriend who’s leaning up against him.
You chose not to drink tonight, instead having a diet coke with lime. Someone needs to make sure that everybody finds a safe ride home tonight.
Gabe is not drinking either, figuring you’re gonna need help with rounding up everyone and getting them back.
“Have you told Gabe you liked him?” Ryan’s girlfriend speaks a little too loudly. She’s drunk, and you can’t blame her. Ryan’s eyes widen, and you squirm out of Gabe’s hold.
“Oh, um, look at the time. I should go.” You all but sprint out of the bar, ignoring Gabe’s shouts behind you.
“Y/N, Y/N, wait!” He shouts, but they fall to deaf ears.
“Gabe, go back to the bar. Your teammates need you,” You yell back, not losing your fast pace. But Gabe is faster, and he lifts you off the ground, despite your feet flailing around. “Put me down, now!”
“Sorry, can’t. Not until you stop yelling at me.”
“Please, spare me the embarrassment. You can never speak to me again, just don’t laugh at me.”
“Was she telling the truth? Do you like me?”
It’s a heat of the moment decision, but you decide it’s now or never. Surging forward, your lips meet his, and his hands fall to your waist, pulling you oh so close. It feels like magic; like a years worth of lingering feelings finally coming to a crash in the best way possible.
“Does that answer your question?”
“Yeah, it does.” He goes in for another, hands still on the small of her back to keep them both steady. It feels right, and nothing else could make either of you happier.

🃏gabe perrault dating a teammates sister?
keep sending in for the celly!!
“did he see you?” you ask, looking anxiously over gabe’s shoulder as he shuts the door. he shakes his head, “doubtful.” your eyebrows raise at his words, “doubtful? or no?” “no he didn’t see me step into the closet to make out with his sister,” gabe answers, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you closer to him.
you pinch his shoulder at his words. “stop joking. he’d kill you if he found out,” you say, but gabe had already started on your neck, working his way from the base to your jaw. “don’t forget he’d kill you too honey,” he mumbles in between kisses. you throw your head back, but still manage to answer, “i’m his sister.” “and i’m his best friend,” he replies.
you roll your eyes, hands tangled in his brown curls as you tug, pulling his face to yours. “just shut up,” you snap, sealing your lips together. they move in sync, and his hand slides down to your bum, squeezing playfully. you’re so consumed in your boyfriend and this small moment with him that you don’t hear the approaching footsteps or opening of the door until it’s too late.
“the fuck is this?” ryan shouts.

valentines
“you didn’t have to go to all this effort just for me.” “that’s why i did it. for you.”
She giggled as Ryan covered her eyes and led her up to his dorm, her hands were holding on to his wrists.
“Do not let me fall Ryan Leonard.” She playfully said in a stern voice as he walked her forwards.
“Never baby.” Ryan smirked kissing her cheek before resting his chin in her shoulder looking at everything he set up, “Open your eyes.”
She opened her eyes and smiled looking around at the dorm, the floor was covered with a blanket and multiple candles lite, rose pedals across the floor, a bouquet of flowers in a vase and a bag of food from her favorite takeout place.
She smiled widely, “Oh Ry,” She spun around pressing a kiss to his lips, “You didn’t have to go to all this effort just for me.”
“that’s why i did it. for you.” Ryan lovingly replied cupping the back of her head and pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, “Now come on your food is getting cold.”

omg i need a gabe perreault fic!! it can literally be anything, i just love gabe😭😚🤍
I'm so sorry for making you wait but I'm gonna make this a cute little fluff for Gabe  :)
The longer you looked at this homework the more it made you want to throw your computer, crawl under your cover and cry.
No notes or videos could make you understand the concept for this class and the test quickly approaching didn't ease your anxiety. Your boyfriend Gabe was really good at this but he had a game tonight and the last thing you wanted to do was burden him with your problems.
But answering the same question incorrectly for what seems to be the 2000th time, you finally break down. You can't stop the tears from coming as your frustration and anxiety got the best of you. You turn to look at the clock that reads '11:45'. You forgot Gabe said he'd come over after the game. You want to get up and make yourself more presentable but your mental exhaustion makes you sit in the same spot as you heard your apartment door click.
Gabe was home. And he was going to see his girlfriend in the midst of a breakdown with puffy eyes.
"Babe I'm back! We beat the shit out of St. Cloud. How do you want to-"
He opens your door to see a mess of paper around you, face only being illuminated by your computer screen and your eyes red and cheeks puffy.
The cheerful smile he once had for his teams win is now gone thanks to your breakdown. You try to wipe the tears away quickly and put on a fake smile.
"I'm fine Gabe, tell me how the game was."
"You're not ok and don't try to change the subject. What's wrong?"
The tears start to form again and your smile falters as there's no use in hiding it now.
"I'm struggling Gabe. This homework assignment makes no sense, I've stared at this question for almost an hour and I need to know this before the test in three days! And I'm exhausted!"
As you rant, Gabe crouches next to your desk and rubs your thigh gently as the other hand stroked your hair. He urges your away from your desk and pulls you into a bear hug.
"You don't have to struggle on your own you know? Why didn't you ask me for help honey?"
"I didn't wan't to burden you."
He backs away briefly while taking your face in his hands and looks into your eyes. "Your not a burden to me. I love you and I don't want to see you this way."
He pulls you into a hug again before the water works start again.
"We'll take a nap. Neither of us have class tomorrow. When we wake up your gonna eat, drink tea, and we'll work on this assignment together. Ok?"
You sniffle before mumbling a soft "ok."
You both climb into bed with his arms surrounding you as you lay on his chest.
"I love you Gabe."
"I love you too sweet girl."
That's the last thing you heard before feeling him kiss the top of your head and you drift off to sleep with a smile on your face.
You really do have the best boyfriend in the world.

ryan leonard x oc hughes sister au
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
frankie woke up suddenly, with her chest; rapidly breathing up and down. she had the worst dream that frankie hughes thought she could have; a sex dream. the only problem? it was about drew fortescue.
she felt awfully guilty due to the fact her boyfriend was soundly asleep next to her and here she was dreaming about her ex- situation ship?
I mean it's not like she still wanted drew. it was one of those dreams that you know has happened before and for some reason your mind wants to remind you it happened; but why?
she thought back and recounted the dream even though it made her cringe. she tried way to hard trying to impress him back then. she focused on what she remembered from the 'dream' or whatever it was, and her eyes widened when she realized there was a flash? a flash of what? a camera?
they had filmed themselves! she suddenly remembered as she gasped loud, waking ryan.
"wha- what!" he said as he spinged up and turned on the light, taking a good look at his girlfriend who looked nothing but guilty.
"you alright franks?" he asked after she just starred at him.
"uhm- ya. I just- just... had a-- nightmare?" she said coming up with a lie.
ryan eyed her for a moment before huffing and crawling back into bed,
"c'mere" he said before pulling her directly on top of him, something that he knew calmed and put his girlfriend to sleep as he rubbed her back. she hummed snugging her head into his neck. she loved- liked Ryan so much.
you cant love him already frankie! get a grip. you like him, alot.
___
it was the next morning and frankie didn't waste anytime and got up and ready for the day. she had one mission and that was; going to talk to drew. someone she hadn't spoken too since their last... meeting? she needed to know what happened to that video.
why had she forgotten? if that ever got out... her career, her brothers career, drew's career, hell even ryan's career would be over. the media would drag her and everyone who loved her through the mud. she wanted to cry just thinking about it, she needed to get that video wiped from existence.
she sped towards the hockey house knowing ryan was safe in class, away from the mayhem her mind was causing. she couldn't have him knowing about this yet, it could all just be; nothing.
he deserves to know it exist
she huffed before knocking on the door to the house hoping she would just be in and out; no one had to see she was even there.
god obviously had other plans because aram opened the door, and announced to will, gabe, jacob, and drew who were sitting around eating breakfast, that 'lady hughes' was here, as they nicknamed her. he stepped aside and motioned her inside.
"hey frankie, ryan's not here, we thought he was at your place?" will said as he grabbed her a chair and motioned her to sit,
"thanks but I'm not here for him. I actually needed to talk to drew" she said looking at drew, who choked on his cereal. frankie had been acting like he was non-existent since she got with ryan.
"i- i'm sorry?" he said coughing as everyone looked between the two with wide eyes.
"we need to talk... privately" she added when no one moved.
"does lenny know your here?" gabe asked, something that everyone was thinking.
"no. this has nothing to do with him. drew please" she said walking towards drew's room.
the guys looked at him with eyes as if they were all saying 'whats that about' and he shrugged before following the girl.
he entered the room and looked at her as she stood in the middle the room,
"do I shut the door... or-"
"yes please" she said quickly as he proceeded to shut it.
"I'm sorry" she said looking at him.
"for what?"
"for... everything. I mean-- I basically used you. and I thought, that you would one day like me back, and when you didn't, I just ghosted you and randomly popped out with one of your best friends, and I know how that looks. you must think I'm a slut, and maybe I am but I love ryan. I love him so much, which is why I'm afraid he's not going to like me anymore after he finds out about the video-- the video we made that one night, and I know you don't owe me anything, and I've acted like you were non existent-
"woah woah frankie? slow down. deep breaths okay?" he said as he cut off her rambling, and noticed she was crying.
"now... what are you going on about?" he said as she calmed down.
"the sex tape we made, drew" she said sniffing.
he starred at her for a moment; thinking as it came back to him,
"i deleted that once I realized we were done, for real" he said seriously.
"you did?" she said finally looking up at him.
"yeah... when I found out lenny liked you, I deleted it. it would be super weird to even still have that" he told her
"you can even go through my phone if you don't believe me, but I swear. I wouldn't do that to you, or ryan" he said starring at her for a second before holding up a pinky, something he knew frankie took very seriously.
"it's okay. I believe you-- but... did you ever tell or show anyone it?" she asked nervously rubbing her arms.
"no, I meant it when I told you it would stay between us"
frankie felt a huge weight come off her shoulders as she sighed.
"does ryan know that it existed?" he asked her.
"no, I'm scared to tell him. I really like him and I'm scared he's gonna look at me differently"
"look frankie, ryan's been in love with you since he met you, probably even more now that you've become this mature woman... and stop saying 'liked' you said you loved him earlier"
"I do. but I haven't told him and what if I say it to him and he doesn't say it back?" she said nervously
"well then you get rejected, you've been there before!" he said trying to cheer her up, something that made her throw a pillow at him.
"your an ass" she said laughing.
"look... I know we don't talk anymore, but I'm always here. I'll be a friend if you ever need one hughes" he said after a moment as frankie stood up.
"thank you forts, for everything. even rejecting me" she said as she brought him in for a hug.
they pulled apart as they heard the door open, revealing no there than ryan. who looked between them with a heart shattering look.
"ry-
"len-"
he shook his head before rushing down the stairs where the rest of the guys were.
"ryan, I need to explain-"
"you know, I really believed you when you said you were over him-"
"I am over him!"
"obviously!" he said pointing upstairs
"we were just talking-" drew tried to add
"SHUTUP" both frankie and ryan yelled at the poor guy in unison as ryan walked out of the hockey house.
"I'm over him ryan. i'm done having this fight-" frankie said following him, now just being the two of them outside.
"yeah? how could you be so sure?"
"because... I am. I.-- like you ryan." frankie said as she cringed, she couldn't tell him she loved him yet.
why not?
ryan frowned.
"well maybe you like two people then-"
"I know I don't like two people"
"yeah? how could you be sure?" he challenged
"because you can't love two people!" she said exhaustedly
this was enough to make ryan's world stop spinning, even if it was just for a moment.
"I love you ryan" she said sniffly as she walked closer to him, slowly as he smiled.
"yeah?" he teased her seeing as how red his girlfriend was getting. this was rare due to the fact the roles were always reversed between the two, whereas he was the one always getting red.
"you don't have to say it back or anything but I just need you to know that I love you. and I'm not saying this because I'm trying to make you forget that I was hugging drew earlier, but it's a long story- actually, it's not that long. look, if your gonna love me back, you need to know this. I made a sex tape with drew back when we were together, and I had totally forgotten until last night and-"
"a sex tape?" ryan asked again, as if he didn't hear right the first time,
"yes, but it doesn't exist anymore-- that's what a came to ask drew. I would never do... THAT to you" she told him
"why didn't you tell me you were coming then, I would of helped you or-"
"because-- I was scared you were gonna look at me differently, which I'm pretty sure you do now, anyways-"
"I do look at you differently now hughes" he told her as she looked down and fiddled with her fingers.
this was it, the only good thing you had in your life; you ruined.
"but only because when I look at you; now , I see the woman I love"
this made frankie look up as tears welled in her eyes.
"yeah?" she said pressing up against him.
"yeah." he said before smiling and wrapping his arms around her before he leaned down to kiss his girlfriend.
they pulled apart and leaned their foreheads on each other as they just smiled at one another.
"so you don't think i'm a whore" she asked
"never-- my girl likes sex, why would that be a problem?" he said as she playfully slapped his arm.
"your the best leonard" she said as she wrapped an arm around his neck and they walked sideways.
"your my favorite. pretty hughes"

💌 and gabe!
this is like my fave ever! ugh i love fluff
Tumblr media
“You have a little something on your nose there,” he chuckled, dotting your nose with his vanilla frosting-covered spatula.
A couple days ago, you had suggested that you two bake cupcakes together to bring to his house for the holidays. It was going to be your first time meeting his family and you couldn’t be more nervous. You had to make a good impression; you didn’t know what you would do if you weren’t with Gabe. Actually, you’d probably still be doing well given the fact that your success doesn’t depend on a man, but still—he meant a lot to you.
You gasped, swiping your now cold and currently wet nose with your index finger, inspecting the damage and also taking a light lick of the delicious mixture. “You’re dead, Perreault.”
He raised his brow, a smirk playing on the boy’s lips. “Yeah?”
He had a couple inches on you, or more so a whole foot, but that never deterred your ambitious spirit. He had always laughed at you when you stood on your tippy toes, trying to catch his lips in a kiss or whenever you jumped into his arms whenever he came home from a roadie. And while yes, you were a bit on the smaller side, you always had one thing that he couldn’t resist.
“Mhm,” you smiled up at him, your toes rising as you wrapped your arms around his neck, while his head tilted down to look at his beautiful girl. He always reminded you how beautiful you were, but you never believed him. He would spend his whole life telling you, hoping that one day you would feel it too. His hands hugged your torso. “I can’t wait to meet your family,” you said softly, the sound of the oven baking the last batch of cupcakes long gone as you gazed into his moss-green eyes.
His shit-eating smirk softened to a small twinkle, his expression so in love you could practically see hearts in his eyes. “They’re gonna love you so much I’m probably gonna have to rip my sister away from you.”
“Well, based on how much you told me about Lil, you’re gonna have to rip me away from her. Honestly, I might start liking her more than you.”
He huffed out a laugh, leaving a light kiss on your forehead. “Guess I have competition now, huh?”
You hummed in response, falling down onto your heels and resting your head on his chest. His heart beated softly, instilling a sense of calm in your anxious mind. His chin rested atop your head as you sighed, peaceful and still. You would be okay, you told yourself. As long as you have Gabe, you will be okay.
“I love you,” he whispered. “Thank you for doing this; you didn’t have to.”
“Gotta make ‘em like me, right?” you chuckled.
“They’ll like you no matter what. It’s hard not to love you.”
You grinned up at him. “Well, luckily for you, you’ll never have to know what it’s like not to.” Your words were like kisses on skin. Gabe had never been in love before you came into his life. He was so sure that he was going to end up alone; his hockey life being too much for any girl, but when you sat next to him in class, your bouncy ponytail swinging with every swish of your head and the way you raised your hand on the hardest of questions, the smartest person in class, he knew that that was it. He was done for.
“But,” you squinted your eyes.
His brow raised.
“You might hate me after this one,” you smirked, taking a handful of frosting from the bowl behind you and lathering it all over his face. Covered in a white sheet of frosting, Gabe held your cheeks, kissing every single inch of your face, consequently getting the frosting all over your face as you protested, pushing against his chest as you laughed loudly.
“GABE!” you screamed, laughing as his kisses tickled your cheeks and the frosting slid onto your eyelids.
Pulling away, Gabe gazed at his masterpiece, an evil grin planted on his lips. “I think we’re gonna have to make more frosting.”
You scoffed, grabbing a towel from the counter and swiping it across your eyes, getting a good look at the devil you call your boyfriend. “You think?”

"for fucks sake." ryan mumbled under his breath as he looked up from his book, only to be met with his friends sitting at the table of in front of yours.
"what's wrong, love?"
"they're here again. they're not even trying to be secretive anymore!" he scoffed as your eyes stayed glued to your work. you had a very important coming up, and you needed a good grade.
"just ignore them, babes. they're kids, let them be." you answered, leaning your head down on his shoulder as his eyes met with will's, who had wide smirk on his face.
"oh my god, what are you guys doing here?" gabe asked as they all got up and walked over to sit at your table. ryan let out a loud groan considering you were in a library as his friends made themselves comfortable.
"get out of here!" he spat at his teammates, making you chuckle a bit, but staying focused on your work.
"are we not allowed to study?" will asked, his smirk still present as ryan sent him a death glare.
"where're your books?"
"in my bag."
"take them out and study then. at another table." he said harshly, making all his friends laugh a bit.
"what if we want to sit at this table?" jacob asked, ryan rolling his eyes. your boyfriend looked over at you, begging you to tell the guys to leave, but you were too focused on your book to realize the look he was sending you.
"it's a library, be quiet." ryan warned the guys before looking back down at his work. your head was still leaning on his shoulder, making gabe snap a pic of the two of you. of course, the boy hadn't realized his flash was still on, making it blankly obvious what he was up to.
"get out!"
"what, why?"
"you're not here to study, you're here to bother us. so leave!"
"it was an accident!"
"can you guys go bicker somewhere else? i'm trying to study." you whispered harshly, making all the boys go quiet as they stared at you. you had finally looked up from your book, now sending ryan's friends a death glare that matched your boyfriend's. "all of you." you added, turning your head to look at ryan.
"me?" he gasped, his jaw dropping slightly.
"yes, you. you're the reason these ding dongs keep bothering me, so get out." you sassed, making ryan roll his eyes slightly before he started packing his bag.
"you guys are such assholes." your boyfriend mumbled as he got up from his seat, pressing a kiss to your forehead before making his way out. his friends followed closely, rambling about something that clearly wasn't making ryan happy.

request for gabe if bc maybe where he got so many penalties in the games yesterday and even though they won he’s beating gisele up because he was barely on the ice and him and his gf are cuddling in bed he’s talking to her about it and everytime he talks bad about himself she interrupts him with kisses and he can’t help but smile and eventually he’s like “ what are you doing “ and she explains
“if i didn’t take that stupid penalty i might’ve been able to score more even though we wo-“
you lean forward, pressing your lips to his and carding your hands through his hair.
“mhm,” he mumbles against your lips, a small grin spreading across his face before he snaps away from your lips. “i mean, i’ll be able to play next game and-“
you huff, trying to kiss him again to get him to stop talking. “gabe please.”
he ignores your pleas, continuing to ramble about his ejection from the game.
“i get to play the next game, but-“
“stop! you’ve been talking about it for three hours gabe. you should just focus on your next game.” you sigh, pressing a kiss to his lip and deepening it instantly.
he lets out a sigh, kissing you once and then pulling back. “why do you keep doing that?” he moves his head to the side, blinking at you.
“i’m trying to distract you from talking about that game. it’s over now,” you huff again, rolling your eyes. “now shut up and kiss me, please,” your eyes meet his, and he’s surging forward to kiss you, laying you down and hovering over you. “that’s better.” you mumble, a smile appearing on your face.

🥅 gabe perrault
based off think later by tate mcrae
"so how did you two meet?" his mom asks sweetly from across the dinner table. you hesistate for a moment, just a split second, and look at gabe, silently begging him to take the lead on this one. "we met on a night out," he answers casually, swallowing his bite of food.
his parents nod, a questioning look in their eyes as they exchange glances. "we met at the common, when the guys and i went to eat on newbury that time," he clarifies, and you can see the relief wash over their faces. "oh yes, i do remember that," she says, smiling again at you. you reciprocate her gesture, but know deep down that gabe is lying through his teeth.
you met at a bar in downtown boston, before sneaking away to the commons for some alone time. then, before telling anyone, the two of you were back his dorm in the middle of a heated makeout session. what started off as a casual hookup, turned into a full blown relationship without either of you realizing it. with gabe, everything was always in the moment. sometimes you were an item, other times you were just friends. you never really thought about it too much, just opting to be present in your short time with him.
"well i'm glad you two are together, you seem like the perfect pair," she says, turning back to the meal in front of her. you smile at that, and gabe gives your thigh a small squeeze, as if showing his agreement.
