Two updates: I just took a mini vacation with my sister to California; went to Universal then afterwards we caught Suzume in a theater in Irvine. Had such a great time and I adored the film so much that I’m going to see it again with a close friend tomorrow morning <3 (Such a wild experience to see a movie like that in a theater, I’m not used to it)
Also I managed to get my hands on a steal deal for almost every .hack novel and manga (apparently) and they arrived today. Got the shelf all set up, it’s a big work in progress but for a collection I only just started since March, it’s looking impressive. I adore it. I’ll probably never see a legit copy of Quarantine on the shelf, but I’ll make due with a repo down the line lmfao
Peep the Ovan keychain. My beloved.

Did you know? When Decal (G.U.S) was first formed, someone other than Steve play bass? His name is Scott Butler and that's all we know so far. This shocking info was found in one of the CDs I bought.
The second image, I believe, is him playing with Bob and pre-glasses Chris Stark. I'm 90% sure this is the earliest known picture of the band.

Hey! You! Yeah, you! Lookie dis!
Tumblr media
Decal has more discography apparently (source)
The other Decal things that are sold in Japan that have the asterisk are lost ones or obscure ones, but what’s even funnier is that on said albums they’re listed as G.U.S, which is one of their former names.....
Anywho anyhow, does anyone wanna find any info on the Grunge 101% album sold in Japan?

"This story takes place 1,000 quantacycles after that fateful day of the G.U.S. 's creation in 2,028. But that isn’t what this story is about. Well, it almost is. The story is about a group of just-barely-adults (and one very, very old woman) being thrown into a battlefield that was created far before anyone of them was born and will try to fix it anyways. "

So I've just binged (well, for me binged) Sweet Tooth on Netflix, and omg it has been such a long long time since I've been so gripped by a show! Absolutely adored it, sobbed my heart out for the last 20 minutes with husband watching bemusedly from the other side of the lounge.
Can someone please come and squeeee with me about it? I don't know anyone irl who's even the slightest bit interested in watching!
The cast were well chosen and amazing, the story line was fab, although waaay darker than I was expecting!
Wasn't expecting to see Bear being played by the preacher's daughter from Messiah (another very good show on Netflix), and although she seems to be wearing very similar clothes again, she's so much better in this show.
I genuinely thought the General was played by Gustav Skarsgard (he plays Floki in Vikings or Merlin in Cursed) so was a bit disappointed when I found out it wasn't him, but still impressed with the actual actor.
Just an amazing show, and I really can't wait for the second season!
Thank you for listening to my rant 😊😊

For context: These CDs came out only in Japan as a promo for the San Francisco area. These CDs had many different bands from that area. both Decal (G.U.S) and The Clarke Nova appear on these CDs. Decal is still under G.U.S. at this time. Grunge 101% and Tsunami Calling Noise have grind (So Long) on them.
