Au crap

this is part of a larger project I’ve been working on. This is sort of a reference sheet for an idea I had regarding how I’d have Sun and Moon appear (specifically moon in this case) in my au. Reminder! This au is meant to take place AFTER ruin, when everyone’s already kind of… crapped out (so it won’t be set in the real world and… lemme tell ya, I have a lot of plans/ideas). I wanted to allow them to be more facially expressive just once to further push signs of distress that had been going unnoticed earlier in the story line I was setting up.

like I said, this was just for reference so I can finish setting things up. And this image will most likely be part of a MUCH larger post I make in the future.

the basic idea of this is the au isn’t set up in the real world, but everyone gets digital representations of themselves where the appearance is dictated by how badly effected they are the virus events. THIS graph in particular is a separate (ish) idea where Sun and Moon do not move their faces as much as everyone else, but are still allowed to be expressive through a handful (or chart) of different faces.

on the right you’ll see references similar to the cartoon versions of them. On the left you have much more intense versions. The bottom covers lower/depressive moods. While the top represents higher moods (which can still be very negative.) despite how unimportant this seems now it will be VERY important to how I represent things later on.

tldr: I’m a psychology nerd (as well as someone who struggles with similar issues) who was given a creative outlet. (I can’t wait to drown everyone in angst!!… and fluff… later… you have to EARN your fluff.)

There are many old stories that have been lost to time, with artwork being destroyed by time or often by the decrees of long past kings. A few villages close to Y/Ns cottage have old tapestries that are hung up in their meeting halls for festivities, most of their designs scratched out. And Sun gets really weird around them... maybe he just likes the craftmansship so much, looking at the artworks for hours

The "about" of it has changed a bit, but the origin remains the same.

I'm in the process doing a soft reboot of the AU, making it into a fanfic with extra comics/art attached instead of a webcomic (I'll start posting the fanfic when I'm done with posting Down Below the Trench, however)

I'm looking forward to it! I've never stopped thinking about it and I can't wait to finally push the story out in a where I can actually make a good amount of progress on a semi-regular basis.
