16 20 & 21 for the tmg asks!!

16. Funniest song? "Adultery" from The Extra Lens' LP Undercard and "Alibi" from them Goats' Babylon Springs EP both make me smilelaugh for exactly the same reason.I can consistently get a dark chuckle out of both of those. Similarly, "Some Other Way" (also from Undercard) is extremely amusing with the caveat that...uhhh....major suicidality TW. The unreleased single "For the Krishnacore Bands" (which ppl got through the newsletter, DM me for the mp3 if you don't already have one) is also a simultaneously moving and hilarious glimpse into a subgenre of hardcore punk that I've never interacted with in any measure. It's rare that a song is so catchy, emotionally compelling, amusing, and educational at the same time.

20. Least favorite album? My copout answer is Nothing for Juice just because it's maybe their only album ever that I've never listened to cover-to-cover even once. I've listened to all the individual cuts, and none of them seem sufficiently compelling to merit a cover-to-cover listen. But also that one seems to be a pretty common answer to this question among fans, so.... My hot-take answer is Dark in Here. And I say this as someone who LOVED Getting into Knives and has no real issues with "new tMG" whatever. Maybe it'll grow on me after a few more listens, but where I stand rn is that it sounds like 13 outtakes from Getting into Knives only 3 or 4 of which we really needed. But maybe that's a little harsh.

21. Tell me your favorite line/s from a song that you love? Already answered here, but....since there are so many songs I love, I'll add a few more - "When the last days come, we shall see visions / More vivid than sunsets, brighter than stars / We will recognize each other, and see ourselves for the first time / The way we really are."
