The Mystra discourse is flaring up again, I dont want to drag you into it so ignore this if you like, but I saw your earlier posts from some time ago and I wonder if your perception of things changed over time?

I don't mean it in a bad way, just curious if discovering new things shed a light on the matter?

I really wanted to stop talking about Mystra because of many personal reasons, I already talked about the details I won't be touching ever again, but I think one thing needs to be said here.

No amount of discovering new things in the game and looking at them from new angles makes an inherently inbalanced and abusive relationship any better.

All the origin companion storylines were written with this in mind and nothing in the game contradicts it.

What gets me thinking, though, is why are we talking about Mystra again while nobody really puts into question that what Cazador/Vlaakith/Mizora/Shar/Gortash&Zariel did is just as shitty?

I guess she's not cartoonishly evil enough for people to grasp a pretty lady can be an villain in someone's story.

I’ve given Chai PTSD symptoms unrelated to the SPECTRA thing by total accident and am now about to double down and do it on purpose. Having a good time!

That was it that was the post. But now that I’m here I wanna update you on my progress.

The fic has a title and enough for a chapter to be posted but I want to have it all done before I post any. That way I can comb through the whole thing for typos and corrections before I post it and not a million times after it’s already out.

The title is Might Be Sinking. AKA 5 Times Chai’s Coworkers Worried Him + 1 Time He Really Worried Them Back.

It won’t be out soon but when it’s out I’m going to drop all six chapters at the same time so it’ll be the whole meal. The one part I have written is over 2k by itself. You’re getting fed.

(If I write a significant amount in the next 48 hours I’ll do a poll or smth to see if you want part of it early. But the plan it all in one go.)
