It seems like they have pushed an update to Titanfall 2. The only thing they changed, though, was a minor update to the conditions influencing the performance of the Mastiff.
Those who have been with my channel for a while remember that:
"the Mastiff's performance adjusts depending on the tides, the moon cycles, star alignments, your zodiac sign, what you had for breakfast this morning, whether or not a popular youtuber has said something racist today or not, and so on"
The only update pushed today was that last condition, where it has been changed from "whether or not a popular youtuber has said something racist today or not" to the more time-appropriate "whether or not a popular youtuber has severely abused their friends or coworkers in the last month or not".
I'm guessing the update was made to add a higher frequency element to the Mastiff's fluctuating performance, as the previous condition was starting to always return true.

capstone update #3
Hello, tumblr! I am finally back with my third update. At first I was waiting for something noteworthy to happen, but then a lot of things started happening all at once. I could have written this update two weeks ago, but I've been caught up. I have great news!
I was able to get in touch with two local leaders who will allow me to interview them. One is Ernie Lau, Chief Engineer at the Board of Water Supply. You may have seen him on the news a couple of years ago; in 2022 he led the Walk for Wai protest march to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. He has also addressed the public many times with updates about Red Hill. Speaking to Ernie has been a big part of my idea for this project, so I'm really excited for this opportunity.
The other interview is with Wayne Tanaka, the Chapter Director of the Sierra Club of Hawaiʻi. (If you are unaware, the Sierra Club is an organization focused on protecting and preserving the natural environment.) Prior to his position at the Sierra Club, he served in the Public Policy Program at OHA, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. I'm looking forward to hearing his thoughts on Red Hill and our environment. Also hoping he might have an opinion to share about the US Military's involvement here.
Another thing I did was receive my first batch of ʻUluʻulu titles (archival videos) and watch them! The first set was about 3 or 3.5 hours worth of footage. Some of it was produced, but most were production materials -- unedited recordings. I took detailed notes of what I saw, with timestamps, in order to keep everything straight. Part of the process is submitting timestamps of clips I'm interested in using in my doc. Then I send those to the archivist (shoutout to Trisha!!! <3) who does some paperwork and sends in a request to the materials' owners. (She undoubtedly does a lot more that I am unaware of.)
It's been tough to find a good workflow for this process, because:
1) in order to view full-length files, I must first request links where the titles can be streamed to me
2) since I don't have a downloaded copy of it, I am unable to drop it into Premiere and begin working with it/ placing markers on it
3) ^this is my usual workflow for working with footage and building it into something, so it's been a learning process
4) the ʻUluʻulu player does not support changing the speed of playback
5) it takes time to get approved to use clips, and longer if you want to request "screeners," full-length files that are downloadable
6) you never know if your request will be approved until it happens, so you could be putting a lot of time and energy into something that won't pan out. (It's a gamble, which can be disheartening)
...#6, I learned that the hard way recently. Since I waited so long between posts, let me save that for next time. Oh yeah, I will have to tell you about the FTAC meeting, too.
For now, I'll keep working through the second batch of archival videos I requested. My doc's structure is still not settled yet, but it's slowly solidifying with each new ʻUluʻulu video I see.

if you don't mind could you share what sniper rifle and/or attachments you use? specifically from this video idk if you've changed your loadout or not
The sniper rifle I use in every one of my vids (like this one) is the Victus XMR with the Basileus Pro-Tuned advantage build:
Optic - Corio SZ-HS 800
Stock - FTAC Homeland
Muzzle - SA Shroud Flash Hider
Underbarrel - XTEN Stable Shot
Ammunition - .50 cal High Velocity
I should note that I prefer using a thermal scope, which the vast majority of CoD players hate, and for good reason: The scope sometimes doesn't "register" targets quick enough so they don't appear white in your scope, but just as grey as the environment. When someone throws an explosive or a smoke bomb etc. your whole scope will turn white and you can't see jack.
Also: Just bc this build works for me doesn't mean it'll work for you. The fire rate is incredibly slow and the mag's got an overall capacity of five bullets, there's no flinch resistance and it's rather heavy gun so you'll be slow to move around. It's loud af too; you shoot once and the whole map knows where you are lol.
This build requires a lot of practice and good aim.
Edit: I'm not sure anyone who didn't buy the Vault Version of CoD MW2 will be able to use the Basileus build; I think it was an exclusive part of the Vault Version, tho I'm not too sure.

Modern Warfare 2 Gunsmith Attachments Are Confusing Players
Players of the most recent Call of Duty FPS game are being perplexed by the Modern Warfare 2 gunsmith attachments due to their hazy descriptions and abundance of poorly defined language. While gamers are finding the Infinity Ward multiplayer game to be extremely popular on Steam, Battlenet, and consoles equally, they are finding it to be a challenging task as they struggle to understand what attachments actually accomplish.
While previous entries Call of Duty Vanguard and Call of Duty Cold War both offered a full statistical breakdown for your weapons, MW2 does away with this system and simply offers a vague plus or minus to each stat when looking at attachment effects. You can get a bit more of an impression of how much difference each one makes by looking at the change in your bars – but an overcomplication of the terminology makes even that difficult to parse.
“Why is there now recoil control, recoil smoothness, recoil stabilisation, recoil steadiness, vertical recoil control, and horizontal recoil control,” asks one user on the MW2 Reddit, “Can we convolute it any more? This is absolutely unnecessary, and just tries to lead to an illusion of complexity so they can add more attachments.” Others in response point out that some of the terms are, in fact, synonyms. Seemingly all of them feed into an overall ‘recoil control’ bar, but that only serves to further muddy the numbers.
Another player humorously points out that the Cronen Zero-P Optic scope, described as an ‘Advanced 4x optic,’ bizarrely offers players ‘5.0x magnification’ among its benefits. They simply ask, “So which is it?”
One commenter remarks that in 2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare, ‘recoil control’ applies to vertical recoil, while ‘stabilisation’ refers to horizontal recoil. They say, “I assume that’s the same now, but then why have vertical and horizontal control mentioned as well? And what does steadiness do? Visual recoil, if I had to guess, or maybe sway while firing?” It’s certainly a lot to try and comprehend.
Personally, I’ve really been enjoying my time with the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer so far, but its gunsmith system is certainly the thing that has clicked with me least. There are so many attachments now, and with such a vague, convoluted blend of positives and negatives for each one, that I find it overwhelming to try and figure out what’s ‘best’ to use.
Fortunately, PCGamesN is full of people much more attuned to these systems than myself, and they’ve got you covered on the best loadouts no matter which gun you favour. Be sure to check out our best loadouts for the MW2 M4, Lachmann-556, 556 Icarus, FSS Hurricane, FTAC Recon, and much more so you don’t have to pore over all those numbers yourself.
We’ve also got you covered on all the killstreaks, scorestreaks, and unlock tiers in our Modern Warfare 2 killstreaks guide. If you need an explainer for the new perk package system, check out our Modern Warfare 2 perks guide. You can also find out how the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige system works, and how to earn Modern Warfare 2 Twitch Drops by watching Call of Duty streamers in action.
